I’m obsessed with Flynn’s headbands lately. As if he already wasn’t putting us all to shame with how cool he is… I want to be as cool as him when I grow up.
the difference betweet you opening the advent calendar gifts with flynn and sitting down talking about how you are a shell of a human shows how amazing of a mama you are colleen. no matter what, you're going to be there for your babies.
I was thinking the same thing - she is so energetic and alive around her children, even though we know she is struggling right now. She's a fighter, and so are her babies!
From what you’ve said about Maisy’s personality, my guess is one day she’ll just suddenly decide that she’s sick of the tubes and ready to eat all her food on her own. Here’s to hoping that day is very soon!! You’re doing an amazing job, Colleen, and your wonderful kiddos are so lucky to have you as their mom 💕💕
I completely agree she's going to have a good night nursing while Colleen is there and then she'll get a call in the morning that she took all her feeds by bottle all night and she's ready to go.
I’m a pediatric/nicu OT and I’m here to say you’re killing it! You’ve always been killing it. I actually took a game you made for Flynn in the past and used it with my patients! (Paper towel middles wrapped in construction paper taped to the wall and dropping colored balls into the corresponding colors) I was so happy to see the tummy time and Wesley turning his head on his own!?? Come on!!! That’s a milestone you’d expect to see between 0-2 months and technically he’s not even born yet! 😂 We always say the babies really start to wake up on around their due dates. I’m proud of him on your behalf and proud of you and Erik doing all the things. You’re trying your best to give your kids the things they need to grow and thrive and that’s all anyone could hope for from a parent! Give yourselves a standing ovation for all that you’re doing. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Maisy’s coo’s as she sleeps melted my heart. Wesley lifting and turning his head for tummy time shows how strong he is getting. I’m so proud of you Colleen. You and Erik are amazing making sure your children feel your love everyday.💜
I’m currently in graduate school for speech pathology and I just want to say I so admire the way Colleen talks to her kids!! It is so important to talk to your children and the way she does at an adult level is just so awesome and great for language development! Love to see it!
I'm loving Flynns little "quirk"( I guess I'll call it) where he takes his forearm and wipes it across his forehead like he's wiping sweat away lolol I've noticed that in the last several videos.. Your children are absolutely beautiful!! Merry Christmas!
I fully recommend celebrating Christmas again after the 25th. Hopefully Maisy makes it home before then, but if she doesn't then have another. Because Christmas is best spent when everyone can be there and you absolutely shouldn't have to suffer on such a lovely holiday while still feeling that everything is on pause. With everything else you're having to deal with right now, no one is going to question wanting to keep the Christmas vibes going a bit longer and you (+your family) absolutely deserve it. Edit: I’ve actually also celebrated Christmas in the hospital due to a close family member being stuck there over the holiday before, and that’s what we will sometimes do to ensure we still get to have that full feeling of Christmas for a day even if it’s not on the 25th. It’s obviously not the preference, but it’s the people more than anything that make the holiday anyway.
Colleen, as someone who always celebrates Christmas after the 25th, remember that you can celebrate at any time. If Maisy comes home a few days after the 25th, you can postpone your “little family” celebration and celebrate with her when she comes home.
@@nicolehernandez1291 My family always likes to push it off as long as possible. And with 3-4 Christmases to attend every year, our “little family” Christmas usually always gets pushed back to New Years
Helpful tip from a triplet mamma!! obviously they are your babies and you do what works best for you! When my babies came home from the NICU night feeds were very hard because they were all on the same schedule. What i found worked best is I found a small pitcher with a pump. I would do the math of how much milk to formula i needed and i would make a big batch of bottles and stick those in the fridge so when i had 3 crying babies i didn’t have to worry about making them and cleaning bottles at night. i kept a mini fridge in our room with the bottles and 3 cups by my bed so all i had to do was fill the cups up with warm water and let them heat up while i was getting set up. I would pump at the same time that they ate. my husband would feed 1 or 2 and change the diapers of whoever finished first so i could keep pumping and feeding the others! This was so helpful because it allowed us to all sleep at the same time and all be up at the same time. we kept all the lights off and would only use our phones for light and would keep the sound machine on full blast. most of the time they fell right back asleep! Again you do what works best for you and your babies i just found this super helpful
You KNOW Maisy Jo did not want to share her grand entrance as the first Ballinger girl since Bailey!! Based on what you’ve told us about her personality, she’s probably thinking “Im gonna make them wait for it.” Dramatic like mama!! 🥲💗 Sending lots of love and positive energy, you are incredible!! #womenareincredible #comehomemaisyjo
When Maisy gets home, you probably won’t have those 20 mins, but you’ll have those hours that you used to spend at the NICU, now you’ll be next to your babies! One thing goes one thing comes
I know this will sound tricky but pumping and feeding at the same time makes twins survivable. It takes a little bit to get used to but it is possible to hold both bottles while babies are lying kind of on their sides in the twin z pillow (stuff the holes with blankets while they are tiny) and then pump while you feed. When they need to burb put both bottles down, burp them both and reset :) If you stagger their feeds and pumping you will literally never not be feeding. When they are both home always wake the second twin to eat if they other wakes else I promise the second twin will wake as soon as your shut your eyes. Never wake a sleeping baby does not apply to multiples 😂. Also, get enough parts/bottles to last you through the night and have everything set up before you go to bed so you just need to warm the bottles, start pumping and go. Don’t waste precious time you can be sleeping washing dishes. I was stubborn and refused to buy extras until they had been home 3 months and then I caved and it was game changing. Good luck! When you have them both home it will be the most amazing (& difficult) thing you have experienced! 🥰
This! Also, I’m sure the NICU drs are doing an incredible job. I have boy girl twins too and my daughter was similar with feeding. We ended up talking to a feeding specialist in the hospital and they suggested switching bottle/nipples to a firmer one. As soon as we tried that, she started successfully bottle feeding on her own. Not sure if they’ve tried that or not but just wanted to share. Oh and a mini fridge next your bed helps at night with pumped milk, premaking bottles, etc.
These fvcking bots! I just wanna see all the nice peeps in the comments and all i see are these s3x bots 😡 guys please report them cos youtube (😒) is TOO LAZY
I'd do the twelve days starting on Christmas and ending on January 6--the idea is that you save time for the Wise Men to get there. Heck, you could even push Christmas until then if you need to for Maisy. She doesn't care if it happens on the 25th (though I realize it may still be hard for you). Or even do it twice! Half the presents on the 25th, half another time with her.
The first day of Christmas is Christmas day! Surprising how many people dont know this. This is why you should definitely not decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving and keep decorations up till at least the 6th of January
I feel very attached to Maisy already because I was literally the same. I opened my eyes right after delivery and looked at my dad and my surroundings. I was a rainbow baby and was born with complications (umbilical cord was wrapped around my neck twice and I was blue and not breathing). But I guess my big character made up for it. Raising me was hard, because I always wanted to do things my way. Teaching me things like riding a bicycle was never normal, because I wouldn't do it, if I didn't want to. But I would always surprise my parents and outreach their expectations. The same was speaking. I just liked to make people laugh by talking gibberish for a while, until it wasn't fun anymore and I decided to speak almost perfectly from day one. Just be Patient. Maisy may be different, but she will most definitely surprise you guys. I am sure of it! ❤
colleen! future NICU nurse/current NICU nurse intern here. you may not believe it when you see our comments because we’re always on your team, but you’re handling all of this unbelievably well! i can’t speak to the mom side of this experience, but with everything i see on the job, i cannot begin to express how amazing you are. your commitment to all three of your children is astounding! it may be surprising to hear, but it’s truly not something we see very often. also, trust me, we don’t like seeing multiples split up anymore than you do, but we’re always cheering for siblings to come home soon! it’s clear your heart is being pulled in every direction but this journey will end. you care for your children so deeply, but you do have to take care of yourself first. please don’t be afraid to ask your nurses for more support or even the smallest requests that may feel “silly” to you. i’ve even had parents of triplets, with two at home, call and ask us to give their third some cuddles sent from mom and dad. never feel like you’re asking for too much. yes we’re busy, but calls like that just show us how much you care! (also we’ll take any excuse to love on those babies) if any nurse makes you feel anything less than amazing, please tell someone! we understand each of our styles is not a fit for every parent so it’s never something we take personally. advocate for yourself and little miss maisy! speaking of maisy, that suck, swallow, breathe is so hard for these little ones to get a hold of and backsliding is completely normal. i’m sure she’ll be at it again in no time!
Some hospitals even have volunteers that come in to cuddle the babies, so it's not necessarily taking time from the nurses. I've been considering doing this, but I know the rules are probably super strict right now because of COVID.
Pumping cuts down your sleep time SO much. You've got to rest or that'll impact your milk supply, too! Buy extra bottles and extra pump parts so you don't have to wash everything more than two times a day. Let other people do the dishes and don't be afraid to use your dishwasher. ❤️ You've got this, mama! I can't imagine juggling everything you are but you do it all with such grace and your babies are going to thrive.
Also, I would wash every other pump. I would put the whole bottle setup in a gallon ziplock & put it in the fridge. Then the residual milk drops don't spoil & you can reuse it.
I just wanted to let you know that I love your videos and your family. You are super woman! As a nurse, I’m in complete awe of how well you are handling and juggling everything you have going on right now. It isn’t easy. I have watched many moms and dads in your situation and you guys are doing so well. It may not feel that way, but you ARE DOING AMAZINGLY WELL! It can be hard to want to celebrate holidays and milestones without Maisy being home, but just remember you are allowed to celebrate every single milestone for each of your sweet babies including Flynn. It’s important and I promise it will make you feel even better. ❤️😊
From one mom to another , you are an amazing mother. You have thought me so much through your parenting style. Your babies are so lucky to have you as their mom. You are extremely strong and i admire that. I hope your baby girl is home soon. 💜🌺
as stressful as it is balancing 3 kids in different spaces, Flynn is such a cool dude and I'm sure he'd be super understanding and try his best to make everything easier if he could.having such a happy guy around must make it a little easier? his optimism and happiness is infectious
For sure, kids are a lot smarter, and more understanding than people give them credit for. If you just explain to them in simple language, and make sure you're around enough to let them know you haven't vanished, they'll be fine. Plus, they're super resilient, and once the hard time passes, and you can devote more time to them again, it'll be like the hard thing never happened.
I haven't even watched this yet - I just came here to say I'm putting good juju out there that Maisy comes home Saturday. Wesley came home on, not just Flynn's birthday, but also my husband's. And Saturday is my birthday. So I'm throwing it out into the universe that Maisy come home Saturday!
I don’t know much about infant twins…… but I know a bit about teenager twins (my stepdaughters) and the connection is magical and undeniable. I wonder if you could bring a smellie that smells like Wesley to the NICU. Maybe she’s noticing her twin isn’t there and missing him? If she smells him there it might help.
Hey Colleen! my twin and I were Nic-U babies and my brother came home first similarly to Wesley! My mom said something that helped me not feel as alone was to give my brother a blanket for a night and the next day leave it with me. She said it made her feel like a piece of my brother was still there and that I wasn't there alone. Hope this helps!! Love, Kate Donlon
Your family has been getting me through my otherwise-boring work days! I know you say that vlogging helps you, but sincerely thank you so much for your consistent content that makes me laugh (and cry) along with you. You're incredible, mama!
i’m so glad Wesley came home while the in-laws were in town! What a treat!! I remember you being worried/bummed the babies weren’t home to meet them. I know it sucks not having Maisy home, but that just means they will get to experience meeting a new grandchild again!
Wow, moms really are superheroes. I just know how when your kids are older and will look back at these videos, they will be so thankful for how you fought to be there for all of them. I guess as a parent you’ll never feel like you’ll ever be “enough” but trying is what matters! Keep on fighting ❤️
Any chance you could pump WHILE you're bottle feeding Wesley? Anything that could cut down on the time spent awake at night sounds golden in this stage of life.
If Maisy isn’t home for some reason by Christmas, I vote you do a re-do Christmas once she’s home! Christmas doesn’t HAVE to be on the 25th! You can make it whenever you want! Heck- you could pretend January is December all over again 😂
Did maisy's dip correlate with wesley coming home? Though they were in separate beds, it's likely that him leaving was an adjustment for her too. They've been together their whole life and she may realize that he isn't there. She'll adjust and come back up. She's a fighter and a strong girl! She's just letting you know now that she's a girl boss, and it's on her time.
This is just a suggestion, I'm not sure what the rules are in the NICU, but maybe you could try a different bottle/nipple shape? My daughter went through 4 different nipple shapes before we found the one she liked. If Maisy is taking an avent soothie pacifier maybe try the avent natural bottles the nipple is so much softer than the normal hard rubber feel ones. They're what my daughter preferred. ❤
Colleen, some people in the comments have suggested prolonging Christmas festivities until Maisy gets home and I think that's definitely something you should consider doing. Although we all hope your ladybug gets home before the 25th, at least if you prepare to wait until she gets home to celebrate, then no matter what the technical date is, you would be able to celebrate Christmas with all three of your kiddos. Just like how you did Christmas in the summer that one time and the "Christmas spirit" was still there. Christmas is about the people more than the fact that it's celebrated on a specific day and I think waiting until Maisy gets home to unwrap gifts and do Christmas traditions would be very special bc all five of you could be together.
I feel this is the happiest Gus has been in a very long time. He’s gonna be so confused once the holidays are over. 😅 Edit: Thanks for the likes! Happy Holidays y’all!
I think Colleen would be on board with this, but if there is a slight chance Maisy doesn't come home until after Christmas..I say the decorations HAVE to stay up until she gets home, and then they stay up for at least a whole month!! That way she gets her time with the holiday. Non stop Christmas music and loads of Christmas dances! Great idea, right???😊❤
I'm a peds NP and was just thinking about Maisy and the regression in feeds. I had a kiddo that I saw who was actually just irritated by the tube being in and that was why she regressed. Once the tube came out she ate so much better. Praying she gets back to eating well from a bottle!
My moms a paramedic, so we many times have celebrated christmas not on christmas day as she had to work. I promise you it really only made christmas more special, because we got to celebrate on a day all to ourselves!! We always wrote a note to Santa explaining the situation, and he always pulled thru on the day we actually celebrated
Maisy sounds like my cousin who was a premie baby. She was super tiny and hard time eating. One day she just decided “oh I’ll eat from a bottle today” and gained weight and went home super quick. Now she’s a little heathy chunk! Prayers she gets home soon!
Flynn makes me so happy 🥺 his random accent always makes me laugh, he is such a character lol. You are doing amazing and wishing Maisy to come home soon!
I love how Gus avoids being around his family all year and can barely tolerate them, but during advent he’s decided to give them the gift of his company 🤣
Exclusive pumping mama of almost a year - tips! 1) buy enough bottles for the day. It doesn’t matter what it costs, its worth it Then you can just run the dishwasher once a day and not hand wash. 2) buy enough pump parts for the whole day! I know it’s a lot now, and in fairness I didn’t do this until I was only pumping 5x a day, but omg life changing again to just run the dishwasher once a day and not have to hand wash!! 3) when I started pumping at night instead of nursing I would pump while my husband fed my daughter her bottle. It was nice to be together, too (tho this was our first so not sure if he needs to get sleep but it saves a lot of time!) 4) unrelated to this - make sure you know about pump settings. I got so much bad advice but they really make a difference on how much milk you get. Not sure if you have a private Facebook but there is a really helpful exclusive pumping group that you could get some tips if needed! ❤️
I keep remembering what the Psychic said about Maisy and how she would refuse to be rushed. This has come to be true. No one can rush her and she will eventually do things in her own “Maisy time”. I think we are all excited for the time when she can come home and the whole family can be together! Wesley seems to be adjusting very well! I love his little foot and hand prints! What a great memory. Hopefully you can get some of Miss Maisy when she comes home! My niece Wesley will hopefully come home next Monday. Since I have been learning so much from Colleen’s channel I cautiously told my sister to not to get her hopes too high. But I really hope my niece Wes comes home soon! I can’t wait to meet her! Is this even okay? To talk about my family on Colleen’s vlog? I hope so. Her vlog in a strange way has helped me cope with my niece being in the hospital for so long. Three months and hopefully no more than THAT!!! Anyway, everyone take care and for everyone else…Haters Back off!
That's what this channel is about, community and supporting eachother. I hope your niece comes home soon so you can meet her and she can join her family for Christmas ❤🌲
Yes indeed, my niece’s name is Wesley. And yes it’s a gender neutral name, actually now that I hear it it sounds very normal as a girl’s name. 😁 I do hope she comes home soon, she will likely be on oxygen because she had something called pulmonary hypertension. It is very normal in premies because their lungs are underdeveloped and it causes high blood pressure. Other than that she is a warrior, its nothing they can’t deal with at home. ♥️ Thank you for all the nice comment Barbara. I’ve heard this community supports each other and now I am seeing it first hand 💕It’s touching (it almost made me cry). I hope talking about my niece on Colleen’s vlog channel doesn’t take away from how happy I am to see the twins thriving. ❤️ C’mon Maisy and (my niece) Wesley come home and join each of our families for the holidays! I would like to wish everyone a very happy holidays🎄 to everyone and have a great day.
It makes me so so happy to see Wesley at home so I can’t imagine how happy it makes you to have him there ♥️ Wishing you all the best and praying for Maisy to make it home soon!
When Flynn has his bandana on his head, is it just me or does he look exactly like Erik? 😊 P.S. I looked into the twelve day advent calendar question you were asking and a lot of the answers that I found were saying that you start with the number one and continue two, three, four, etc. So I hope you read this Colleen and this helps! 😊
My partner's family has a tradition of celebrating Christmas on the 27th. Due to family work schedules, this is the norm and is kind of special because then Christmas day is solely for us and then the 27th is family time! So yes split out the holidays however you need, just makes it more unique and special to you and yours.
I really hope maisy does better each and every single day so she can be with her family before christmas, im hoping collen can finally be happier having all her family together and be hable to smile on christmas and if she cries hopefully is of happines! I really wish you the best.
I’m so happy Wes is home and seeing Flynn being the cutest ever with his brother!! I’m sending all the love and strength to Maisy to finally be home with all of you❤️❤️❤️
Everything takes energy, even the small things that should not. And that is okay, it is something I myself hade to come to terms with after I had my giant depressive episode in 2018. The recovery is not easy, but no matter what it's going to get better. As a fellow christmas lover I think you should extend your celebration a bit, so you don't have to think about it till Maisy is home. The littel ladybug will come home soon! Right now Colleen you are being pulled in every diraction, but know that soon the fog your stuck in right now will come to a end.
I am a NICU Aunt and I can't thank you enough for sharing your struggles and milestones. It has helped me in understanding what my niece is going through on a daily basis. She delivered at 30 weeks on your birthday...So I have my little Henry that shares the same birthday as you! Anyways sharing your story with her has helped her out a lot as well. So just wanted to say I love you so much and thank you for helping me adjust to NICU life as well. I can't wait to meet my little great nephew. We are also hoping he comes home before Christmas! Love you so much Colleen!
Don't worry Colleen! Maisy will be home soon too. Everything has it's own time!! Praying and hoping she comes home before Christmas 🎄 Love from Australia xx
A piece of advice from a multiple mom: if your family is up to it, let them take a night with the babies so all you have to do is get up a pump. Getting a few hours in gives you an extra spurt of energy to keep going.
How adorable are those! So happy for you Colleen. I know this may have been said over and over but you're truly an inspiration for life values and goals. You go after what you want and stay true to yourself. Thank you for being so amazing and sharing these special moments!
You are amazing you are so brave and so strong! This is a very hard time to go through and there are lots of people that love you and want to help you. I am sending a virtual hug!
Hi! Tortilla talk question: did you also make a song for Wesley? Also, love his pointed ears! He’s like your little Christmas elf! 😍 I’m stuck at home with the flu, thanks for making me feel better 🥰 My birthday is December 24, you got this maisy!!! ❤️ your doing great Colleen!! Get alll those mommy cuddles in!! 💞💕
I noticed his cute little pointy ears and I think he’s gonna be a fan of holidays/birthdays bc he already has taken a liking to Bailey’s and Flynn’s birthday so I like the idea that he’s a lil sweet elf
I would definitely hold off and celebrate Christmas after Maisy comes home! That’s what I do on years that my kids spend Christmas Day with their dad. I truly hope she comes home soon! 💗
Aww I have that little blue and green truck outfit packed in my hospital bag for my little baby! Seeing him wearing it melts my heart and makes me even more excited to see my little guy wear it soon!
Long time follower, First time commenter💙.. I am so impressed with how you are able to balance all of this AND even take 5 minutes here and there to vlog and give your energy to all of us. You will look back on this time at some point and be soo proud of your self and say " dang. I did that and got through it" I am cheering you on soo loud!🥰
One helpful thing when I was breastfeeding was to have my husband wash all of the bottles/pump parts so that I could just focus on feeding and pumping and could get rest. I also had multiple pump parts so I could just wash all at the end of the day and didn’t have to wash every time I pumped. Just thought I would share if it helps at all ❤️
My twin B came home before twin A, it was super hard.. my twin A had so many issues starting out and watching him fall behind his sister was so hard. But after she came home, a week later he starting to do amazing and made it home two weeks after her! Keep your head up Colleen! She'll be home soon! ❤️
Hi Colleen congratulations on your beautiful babies. We live in Australia and my daughter Isabella (she's 19) has been following you for years. You have helped her so much with her anxieties and I wanted to thank you. You are an absolutely amazing mum and we we wish you all the best. Hang in there and please look after yourself. I’m gonna predict that she’ll be home on the 21st! It’s definitely a guess but I’m hoping it’ll happen aha
I completely agree she's going to have a good night nursing while Colleen is there and then she'll get a call in the morning that she took all her feeds by bottle all night and she's ready to go.

Coming from a narcissistic/abusive family, the way she talks to her kids is part of the reason I love watching her 😌 she’s such a beautiful soul
I'm loving Flynns little "quirk"( I guess I'll call it) where he takes his forearm and wipes it across his forehead like he's wiping sweat away lolol I've noticed that in the last several videos.. Your children are absolutely beautiful!! Merry Christmas!
Ikr it’s so cute lol

That's an awesome idea!!
In Ukraine we celebrate Christmas January 7th, so you can do it as well:)
100%, I said the same!! :)
that’s a great idea!
That’s an amazing idea!
Colleen, as someone who always celebrates Christmas after the 25th, remember that you can celebrate at any time. If Maisy comes home a few days after the 25th, you can postpone your “little family” celebration and celebrate with her when she comes home.
This is good advice, to not put too much weight on the 25th! If Maisy comes home later, it's a good excuse to have another Christmas party :)
May i ask why you always celebrate after the 25th?
So helpful! Siding with you although i just had 2 babies one after another.
You can also let Eric do a feeding while you pump, then you will have a longer period to get some sleep.
Coleen needs to see this!
Bump!!!
Hoping Maisy gets home before Christmas! It would be so great if the twins were together for their first Christmas!! 🥰🎄🎅

YES
She wants to be a Christmas present.🎄🎁🎀👶👣
She said they like birthdays- Jesus’s bday!
@@roswellrobin that was my thought exactly! Lol
Hello how are you doing hope you're safe?
Maybe you should bring Maisy a shirt that Wesley has worn, the same way you do with your scent? It may help.
this is so smart, because she will be able to feel the presence of her brother, even when their not together! 🥰
Yes absolutely!!

I thought this too, she doesn't feel him there anymore and maybe she misses him.
colleen! future NICU nurse/current NICU nurse intern here. you may not believe it when you see our comments because we’re always on your team, but you’re handling all of this unbelievably well!
i can’t speak to the mom side of this experience, but with everything i see on the job, i cannot begin to express how amazing you are. your commitment to all three of your children is astounding! it may be surprising to hear, but it’s truly not something we see very often. also, trust me, we don’t like seeing multiples split up anymore than you do, but we’re always cheering for siblings to come home soon! it’s clear your heart is being pulled in every direction but this journey will end. you care for your children so deeply, but you do have to take care of yourself first. please don’t be afraid to ask your nurses for more support or even the smallest requests that may feel “silly” to you. i’ve even had parents of triplets, with two at home, call and ask us to give their third some cuddles sent from mom and dad. never feel like you’re asking for too much. yes we’re busy, but calls like that just show us how much you care!
Commenting so we can boost this for Colleen to see!!!!
Commenting to boost!
Some hospitals even have volunteers that come in to cuddle the babies, so it's not necessarily taking time from the nurses. I've been considering doing this, but I know the rules are probably super strict right now because of COVID.
I hope Colleen see’s this!!

Also sterilizing bags for the microwave!
Yes! Buy extra & use the dishwasher. I did & had no problems.
Hello how are you doing?

For sure, kids are a lot smarter, and more understanding than people give them credit for. If you just explain to them in simple language, and make sure you're around enough to let them know you haven't vanished, they'll be fine. Plus, they're super resilient, and once the hard time passes, and you can devote more time to them again, it'll be like the hard thing never happened.

I wonder if you could bring a smellie that smells like Wesley to the NICU. Maybe she’s noticing her twin isn’t there and missing him? If she smells him there it might help.
What a miracle it would be for Little Maisey to come home on Christmas Day. Speaking it into existence ❤️❤️❤️ much love momma 🥰
Hey Colleen! my twin and I were Nic-U babies and my brother came home first similarly to Wesley! My mom said something that helped me not feel as alone was to give my brother a blanket for a night and the next day leave it with me. I think alot of US need it as much as she does, these vlogs give me a hint of happiness to my days too :)
i’m so glad Wesley came home while the in-laws were in town! What a treat!! I remember you being worried/bummed the babies weren’t home to meet them. I know it sucks not having Maisy home, but that just means they will get to experience meeting a new grandchild again!
Flynn wiping his forehead with his arm is so adorable. He does it when he's doing stuff & feeling overwhelmed like it was so hard to do.Lol.👨🏼
I LOVE your idea!! She should totally do this if Masiy isn't ready by Christmas.
Yesss!!!
This!!
she's done this in the past when the family got sick on christmas! so that's definitely a great idea!!!
omg yes she can celebrate on jan 25 (my bday) lol
When you bring Maisy home, Flynn will see another newborn and say “Again?!?” 😂
HAHAHAH
Okay this is funny 😂 Flynn is such a joy. 💙
That’s exactly what he will say! Just like the advent calendar! Too funny
🤣😂😍
Again!!! He is so adorable.
Plus, let's point out that December 25th is an arbitrary date to begin with.
Girl I could not imagine how single moms do in a similar situation as this. Eric is a lifesaver in all of this as well as Kory and ur Mom obviously
I feel this is the happiest Gus has been in a very long time. He’s gonna be so confused once the holidays are over. 😅
Edit: Thanks for the likes! Happy Holidays y’all!
I'm living for the Fancy Feast Advent calendar
I think Colleen would be on board with this, but if there is a slight chance Maisy doesn't come home until after Christmas..I say the decorations HAVE to stay up until she gets home, and then they stay up for at least a whole month!! That way she gets her time with the holiday. Non stop Christmas music and loads of Christmas dances! Great idea, right???😊❤
You are very strong for everyone else and to still be okay during the day. You are doing amazing!!!!! STAY STRONG YOUR DOING GREAT!!
My favorite part of elephant calendar is when Flynn goes “AGAIN???”❤️😂
I'm a peds NP and was just thinking about Maisy and the regression in feeds. I had a kiddo that I saw who was actually just irritated by the tube being in and that was why she regressed. Once the tube came out she ate so much better. Praying she gets back to eating well from a bottle!
My moms a paramedic, so we many times have celebrated christmas not on christmas day as she had to work.
It was nice to be together, too (tho this was our first so not sure if he needs to get sleep but it saves a lot of time!)
4) unrelated to this - make sure you know about pump settings. I got so much bad advice but they really make a difference on how much milk you get. Not sure if you have a private Facebook but there is a really helpful exclusive pumping group that you could get some tips if needed!

A piece of advice from a multiple mom: if your family is up to it, let them take a night with the babies so all you have to do is get up a pump. Getting a few hours in gives you an extra spurt of energy to keep going.
Get like 50 bottles and pre-prep them all, then dishwasher. It saves a ton of time in the long run (only having a few bottles is horrendous).
