Suzuki Samurai and a concrete ledge

  • This is a concrete ledge at my parent's property. I didn't take a measurement but its a good height. The tires on the sammy are 31" so you can get an idea from that. Its a tight space between the drop and the barn so I have to line things up. Just a little fun on easter. The sammy has been stored all winter so it was good to reunite for a day.

    Thanks! It was good to get back in the driver's seat after the long winter. Now I got to start thinking about a roll cage and how to find some time. :^)

    Nice looking Samurai, wish Suzuki still made them. Yours made it up that ledge easily. Looks like some 33" tires would go on real nice if you geared it low enough.

    If you search my videos there is a clip of it at The Cliffs Insane Terrain off road park. That was last year. I've been swamped with work so I haven't gotten out this year with it other than playing around locally. I've got my onroad 235's on it right now and have put some cruising miles on it with the top down.

      Those were bushwacker fender flares. They had a version specific to the samurai. Trailtough dotcom still sells them.

    Cool little truck, nice work! Did you have to remove the old fender flares before putting on the new ones?

    Whats gas mileage on these? With a lift and wheels. Do they have ac?

    • @spyder000069
      @spyder000069  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      No AC on this one but I believe it was available. MPG was around 16-18 with the tsl's if I remember right. Those tires and steel wheels are HEAVY and drag down the onroad performance but with a set a 235/75/15 it was reasonable. The tracker with the same engine got about 2-4 mpg better with same 235's. It was lighter and more aerodynamic and rode a lot better too but not as serious of an offroader. I think for a weekend warrior that is still streetable its hard to beat the tracker/sidekick. I like the soft top on the trackers alot better too.
