- In this second episode of 72 hours of adventure, Scott goes out solo on his new GS 1250 to explore more stunning BC backcountry including Adam's River, Vavenby, Clearwater, Seymour Arm, Malakwa, 3 Valley Gap, and Kingfisher. What a trip!

What a treat! Big thanks for putting the work into shooting, editing and posting...Thinking I do a similar vid of The Mitten State using TMA!....🤔
Great service announcement on staying to the outside. As a long time dual sport rider it kills me to see people cornering in the middle or wrong lane on forest service roads. With the camping set up check out sleeping bag liners for the surprise cold night. They pack down pretty small and beat wearing all your clothes.
Thanks Mike!
I pack a sleeping bag liner, but a cool max one for the heat. I have an evolved system for the trip this weekend. Bring on the cold, or the heat!
Thanks for sharing Scott, definitely the land of plenty.
Western Canada 🇨🇦 Don
I’m glad to see you made it up there. I love riding around that area.
Awesome to watch you and your new lady getting out there!
Can't wait to be back out in Vernon🎉
I am very very curious, about the 21” front wheel conversation. I know it would be better, but When it’s done I’d love to know a parts and cost list…,it’s on my list of GS mods for sure! Also really enjoying watching the adventures on this bike!!!
You rock
That was awesome Scott do you get worried about grizzlies, or just put out of your mind. 😊 we road up to clear water a couple years ago. Great fun. Thanks for sharing.
I have bears in mind. I have been woken up by one in my ten before. I also have 500+ days of living in a tent behind me. It's fine if you take the necessary precautions (I hope!)
I've found bear bangers to be very effective in chasing curious bears away. Camping in high food season helps too, you won't see them.
Great stuff Scott! Amazing scenery and excellent bike for the job. Now, if i can somehow manage to swing a job like that exploring the backroads on my DR650 for days at a time I'd be a happy man! Keep up the great work buddy...
awesome video again!!
regarding your tire pressure on a loaded GSA, it is not recommended to lower the pressure out of risk of bending the rim . Besides BMW, Bred Tkacs had mentioned it multiple times on his videos
Man what a great adventure you're on. How smooth is that new bike! Hey you never got into why you keep that knife close by haha
Me likey new bike. Very smooth!
I forgot to explain the knife. In time!
Another great ride! I'm getting excited to jump back on Pokey soon and get out there myself!
watching all the adv vids here at work instead of doing the work i should be finishing up , leaving this coming Saturday to roll the ORBDR & 1,2,3 of the WABDR with my son !! would love to go up over the border and do a Canook's - BDR next yr ??
Oooh, have fun. We have BDR envy. We love BDRs. Must do OR. Andrew got hurt, otherwise we would be there!
In time what we, and others, post to TMA will become new resources for BDR style adventures.
Easy solution for water. Life straw. Get water almost anywhere.
Nice to see you try a beemer out. Are you going to try that beast out on the trails anytime soon. Would like to hear your verdict and comparison with the 790.
I will be raping up slowly. Right now I am trying to figure out what front tire pressure I can get away with. 28 PSI is the lowest that I have heard. I suspect I will be fine up to a difficulty 3/6 on our system. It is nowhere near the off road capable bike that my 790 is though, and that's alright because the 790 is really not much of a distance street bike. It is fun to experiment.
Oh, I have a skid plate and upgraded side bars to add first. Too bad that I don't enjoy wrenching much so it is easy to procrastinate.
I bought my ADV bike intending to take it on longer trips. Some local trips to evaluate and familiarize as well as some Starbucks parking lot curb separator test before heading out.
It seems when BMW sold Husky, not all of the 21" holy grail crowd left with it. Why not put a chain oiler on a Norden X for those really long X's.??
Looking to do some back road riding next year but don’t know the area at all. Was looking at the BDR style map some made of the Okanagan.
Yes, Canada BDR has done a couple. They look nice, and in the easy side for sure.
Hey there - which Woody’s wheel did you go with? The narrow or wider one? Did you use their tubeless conversion? I have a 2022 SAR so I’m replacing my stock 21” but ideally I would keep my tire pressure monitor.
Just wondering what you put on the GS?
I am going with their off road suggested tubed system. i don't recall if wider of skinny. Pumped to see how it works next spring!
Love your videos. I’m getting a GS1250. Would love to know your video and Mike set up please 🙏🏽
GoPro Hero 10 on Dango chin mount. Media mod. Rear microphone. That's it! :)
@@DirtChimps thank you 🙏🏽
Time for a new glove. What's with the naked thumb?😂
I have oddly large hands. I wear a 2 XL glove, but the thumbs are always too short so I tend to get angry and chop them off!
What kind of phone mount is that?
It is the BMW one. Not a huge fan though as it loses power every now and then.
So, just because nobody has asked in this comment section yet...Andrioid version ETA?
Ah, nobody has asked me today. lol
End of September is the current, and realistic, plan.
