How can you not love this figure? This is the most comic accurate 6 inch figure ever based on artwork and the details are so intricate and beautiful.
Sadly though it only show's up in one panel so its not accurate to the story more so its just a cover art version of the character so personally for me and alot of people its not worth buying over the Black or Blue with Yellow emblem
@@Sonsto I know that. I got all three versions and this is easily the best out of all of them. The fact is that it almost 100% accurately depicts a very detailed drawing is a great achievement. The black and grey and the 2 pack version maybe seen in the storyline but are a lot easier to replicate.

@@cookedit Fair though Again I think very few people would go out of there way for this release. Again if you have all three then I can understand you love these figures enough to buying all the releases. Is there any real issues with them as well are they worth the up tick in after market price.
@@Sonsto This figure did sell out on initial release but has only just been reissued. The only qc I have is with the Batman and Robin 2 pack. The Batman emblem is messily painted and with some yellow paint splash on the grey right thigh. The Carrie Kelly Robin is very thin and I feel like I have to be careful with it, but haven't had any problems as yet.
Mafex deserves more attention they make awesome looking figures with good articulation not all figure companies can do that like them
Yeah. It is just there qc issues, especially from older figures, really have marred their reputation. I find SHF and Revoltech have just as bad qc issues and sometimes more than recent Mafex's, it just Mafex cannot shake of their previous reputation.
@@cookedit sh figurarts is a good choice too but l don't like revoltech figures because their figures doesn't look good enough but they have the best articulation

@@revanseyfullayev7137 Some SHF are too small and skinny, and their newly announced The Batman suffers from the same problems. Revoltech's figure's are too stylised, the joints are too noticeable and parts come off too easily. Despite Mafex's early qc issues and still sometimes badly applied paint, they have improved upon their plastic, wrist pegs and general quality. And they choose the most iconic looking designs from the most well-known storylines and recreate them accurately, with good articulation that doesn't ruin the sculpt and great detail; such as this Triumphant Batman.
These MAFEX figures hit the sweet spot in terms of detail and articulation. I love this figure and the black caped version as well. Maybe this won’t happen, but imagine McFarlane collaborating with MAFEX for some incredible Spawn figures. 👀

The extra head sculpt on the black caped figure looks amazing. For ~1/12th scale, the blue really pops. Keep up the great work!

Im not a huge collector of any stretch, but I wanted ONE good Batman-figure in my home and I went for the black and white TDKR and Im very happy with it.

I just got this figure for Christmas and I’m so happy with it! The only problem I’m having is he is to heavy for the stand. 😅 but I’ve got some Lego bricks to hold him up, lol.

I'm not the biggest fan of The Dark Knight Returns line (it's good, but others love it way more than I) but dang this is possibly the only Mafex figure from that line that I want. The battle damage and paint apps look too good to ignore.

This looks great! I’m starting to have a little TDKR collection, with Prime 1 (the same one you have), Tweeterhead (the same colors as this), a McFarlane TDKR collection that let you build a horse for Batman to be on, and now I want this! It’ll be the only one with an unmasked sculpt, and I want to do some paint mods to make this even more dirty and bloody. Thanks for the review!

I wish this was Mafex's Knightfall, in classic look, dark gray, dark blue (DC Essentials Classic shade) but with the details, straight pouches with shinier real cloth cape and lot of interchangeables :-)

You can tuck the front tip of the cowl into the empty neck socket, then put the head and neck on so that it covers and traps the front tip underneath. This works for me at viewing distance, but I'm not sure if it would look strange zoomed in or in photography. Something to try.
I tried it kinda jumps back out!
@@JustinsCollection Keep messing with it. The way I have mine, it can't pop out because the base of the neck is physically trapping it. You have to really bury the front tip of the cowl. It should be pretty well hidden for it to work.

This is literally as close to Millers illustrations as you can get.
I’d be interested to see a comparison with the McFarlane sculpt but this to my eyes looks so much more accurate

The unmasked Bruce head looks better on the original black suit Batman. The gray hair makes the gray in the suit better.

You know mafex is the line that has made the best batman nolan articulated figure in the market
Their batman 3.0 is better than hot toys and cheaper. You can appreciate the armor in the suit and not look like a prop (hot toys)

His proportions are off. He looks very short and stumpy. The Mcfarlane Multiverse Dark Knight Returns figure is very close to the comic

@@JustinsCollection The detail on this version is by far the best of the three released by Mafex. Love the head sculpt and battle damage but it's that same ghastly body sculpt as before that I can't stand. Dreadful leg proportions absolutely kills this figure.
