Oh, I love that thing. The cape does get a little frustrating at times, like when you're in bed and almost comfortable but you can't get the covers just right, so you have to get up and make the bed, only to jump right in and snuggle up just right, but this time it works because you took the extra minute. That's what Hush Batman's cape is like.

I miss Medicom including that second stand piece that’s meant to just wrap around the thigh. It was a good way to hold the figure up without being too in the way
This Batman is MY Batman. I prefer him over the Hush version. He's so bad-ass. I have him displayed with Marvel Riders Punisher and GI Joe Snake eyes. I want to complete my bad-ass shelf with a Storm Collectables Lobo. Great review, Robo. 👍
I've never purchased a MAFEX figure. They're just so expensive...though cheaper than MEZCO, which I'd be more inclined to purchase; (Robo is warming me up to the idea of cloth goods) and the QC issues worry me, like any import. I don't like Jim Lee's art, but I love Miller's. This was tempting bc it looks so damn cool. I think if they're doing it by artist, Neal Adams, Brian Bolland, or Alex Ross, I may have to take the plunge.
I can't wait for the Carrie 2 pack and the Hush figures. Those will be figues that deviates from Medicom RAH lines that will be completely new. Hope Medicom will continue to grow the Batman comic line. I'm loving them!

I ordered this Batman. It hasn't arrived yet, but I believe I'll be happy with it. I didn't order the triumphant variant cuz I didn't like the tattered outfit look. Part of me wanted to order the blue Batman with Carrie Kelly Robin. Until someone pointed out that the emblem on the blue Batman's chest isn't comic accurate. Instead it's just the generic oval bat symbol that you see everywhere. And for the mafex price point, that's enough to make me decide not to pick it up. Because I'm sure they'll probably re-release the Blue version again with a more comic accurate symbol. And they'll probably find a way to release Carrie Kelly as well. So I'll eventually probably get a Dark Knight Returns Blue version and a Carrie Kelly. Just not in the set currently offered

My question is where do you order your Medicom Mafex/SHFiguarts figures from? I want to make sure I’m getting the real deal and not a bootleg. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I order from Amiami and HobbyLink Japan, but that involves overseas shipping, can add expense. Then for domestic I'd go with BBTS, cheaper shipping but you gotta wait for them to receive their stock, usually a month or so after actual release. Just stick with the big stores and you'll be fine.

Sooooo, many Batmans. Do you have a favorite version from the comics? McFarlane is making quite a few, and I dig his White Knight version. This MAFEX is probably the best for TDKR, nice and solid. MAFEX Hush is beautiful but the cape may turn you off.

I don't think I'd want to own any of two if I had those. aha... if anything, I'm a fan of the blue cape with the yellow symbol & i'm still waiting for something different from Mcfarlanes line. his recent waves are better, I don't like the first lines head and that chest. the candy cape I can get over,but a rubber one like his MK Spawn would be ideal then. and that blue variant I think i'd have to buy like the whole box on BBTS. personally hoping for HIS version of Batman he drew for that one Cover. the Hush is probably the one I should lean into.. that is a nice sculpt
I don't know why you'll say these look like Dollar General packages. I know that just means they look cheap and nothing specific from that store. I'm just not a fan of the matte finish they now changed to with Hush Batman. They were all gloss up until then. I want consistency dammit lol. Just saying, these and Figuarts have that uniformed squared look about 'em. I'm wondering what design you'd think look better. Maybe if they put a slipcase over the box? And I do eventually open all my stuff (moving issues and life in the way), and then keep the expensive stuff boxes stored away somewhere. In the meantime, they do display nice on a shelf lined up in a row. I can pull 'em down like a stumpy book.

Robo if you have it try wrinkle release spray for the cape. Might help with the wrinkles without messing with the pleats.
