Helpful video. I have my MSI CX640 for 8 years now, working every day min 16 hours. Reason why it is still working is because I clean the fan regularly so I keep it nice and cooled. The reason why I can do it so regularly is because you remove the back lid with 5 screws and everything is accessible! Best laptop I ever had! So I always watch how easy is to open a laptop and get to the fan. VERY IMPORTANT! Thanx again!
shit , I have hdd but there is no socket for ssd . they didn't weld a socket on the motherboard ! I only have 1 slot for memory . I can upgrade that to a point . You would think they would at least have it ready for a ssd for future upgrade ???
HP Quickspecs and Data Sheet for the 250 G7 are confusing on whether the shipping memory is upgradable or not... certain spec listings seem to indicate it has Two SODIMM slots and can support a maximum of 16 GB SDRAM. The model I'm looking at buying 12 units ships with 8 GB ... it'd be nice to know if I can indeed double it to 16 GB as HP Quickspecs document indicates "customer non-accessible / non-upgradeable".
Nice video. Also i have a question. Mine is 3.5 years old and has some small cracks around the hinge and in the screw at the center near the trackpad. Also its ethernet port doesnt work because i broke it. Is it still safe to open or could anything go wrong?
@@intestinal47 yh, i figured out there was no cell battery yesterday after stripping it, lol I didn't think to leave the main out as I wanted to reassemble before I lost bits. It's a 2nd user machine with passworded win10 os, and the bios has admin lock too :(
Hello, I have the NOTEBOOK HP 250 G7 153B9LT 15.6 / I5-1035G1 / 4 / 1TB / DOS. And I want to add 8gb of RAM to it. That is, it already has 4gb to DDR4-2666 and I want to add another 8gb DDR4-2666 module, in total 12gb. The technical question is the following: Is this 12gb combination (4gb DDR4-2666 + 8gb DDR4-2666) going to work at the speed of 2666 or 2400? Because someone told me that this configuration of 4 + 8 in this notebook works at 2400 but if I put 8 + 8 it works at 2600. Could you confirm how fast the 4gb 2666 + 8gb 2666 combination works? 2666 or 2400? Thank you, I await your reply.
So when you mix and match ram, the computer will down clock the faster ram to the same speed as the slower one to ensure compatibility. Hope that helps.
I have the intel core i7 8565u version and my question is.... Can i have a HDD a SSD m.2 Nvme in dual storage? Will you have a problem with PCIe lines?
Always ac connected user here. If no button cell you cannot take off the battery because of the bios reset. I wont to buy a new battery every 15 passed months if its charged 24/7 at 100 percent. Sorry HP, no deal.
Instead of playing music in video, giving info makes sense, atleast talk about the upgradable options

Thank you for this video? Before I disassemble mine: how do you reattach the rubber lines?
They've got a sticky backing on them, set them to one side, sticky side up, and they'll stick back on just fine.
SAVE RUBBER!
To save rubber, you can use dryer to warm up this place.
And rubber will not broken like in my one.
It looks like there is enough space for a second ssd on the left side. Isn’t there an option to upgrade!?
Looks like the SATA connector is missing but you can solder one in place and should be able to go.
This is the Best Video! You have helped me a lot with this!
Thanks!
Thanks for the video, but shame for the motherboard. HDD bay without SATA socket. Damn HP!
My thoughts entirely. Looking like the Vostro 3580 for me

i opened it no probelm and the hinge was shattered already, ethnernet port snapped, and bezels are coming off

my question is, does this notebook has a mini pci express?
There is no provision for regular hard drive upgrade or addition. only m.2. Am i wrong?
i have the intel core i3 8130u version that has 8gb ram, it is expandable? and if it is what ram do i need to buy?? to the correct model

What kind of SSD should I buy for this SATA or NVME for the bottom right corner slot
Hi. Where do you get the tools for this?
iFixit normally has everything you could need for hardware disassembly.
does it void the warranty to get to the ram/ssd
Can I change the processor of this laptop?
Hi, tell please, which model motherboard for hp 255 g7 ryzen3 2200u ?
Is it possible to Upgrade the CPU?
This is a laptop, no a desktop
2:08 ¿Es la memoria SSD M2? 👀
there is no graphics card slot where as lenovo in idea pad 330s has nut in a cheaper price
Very good video.
Thanks for sharing.
So i can change video card?
Does it have SATA HDD slot?
mine does have, but doesnt have for ssd m2
M.2 NVME or SATA ?
Is compatible UP with ssd nvme?
Does it void warranty?
It's annoying how HP intentionally makes their laptops difficult to disassemble.
Seeing this I know I will never trade my Elitebook for one of these. Sadly my boss likes to sell these units. :(
Is there m2 ssd in all models??
just for hp 250 g7 models
can I add a SSD M2 drive?
There is only 1 slot for this option you can change or install a new one.
Okay looks simple enough.. Upgrading to 16gb ram and 970 evo Pro mvme!
