Thank you guys so much for watching!! Healing Savage raids is my most favourite thing to do, so I hope this video gives someone out there the push they need to give it a go! 💕
This rarely comes up but I didn't see it mentioned, a fun fact about Healer LB3's animation lock is you can rescue your cohealer out of it early once the party is raised. Definitely requires communication in most scenarios, but nothing feels worse than raising the party only for AoEs to spawn beneath you as you're locked into place, potentially killing you in the process
I know I’m a good healer and I know I can heal this content, so WHY DO I HAVE SO MUCH ANXIETY?! Playing with strangers and fear of failure during prog just gets in my head so much 🥺
One tip for slidecasting, put a emote to your hotbar, if you are casting it will be grey, and its light up if you can move while the cast is still porgressing
This video really makes me want to try a healer again to see if I can get it down. I like the explanation of mindset progression during the fight progression (something I never really thought about) and the recovery priority (something I've never been sure about). Keep up the great work!
This video has really helped me as I'm new to FFXIV with WOW having been the only other MMO I've played. I just hit lvl 90 3 weeks ago and did 6 hours of P1S-P2S last night and got VERY frustrated at a few points. This explains the source of that frustration and outlines all the slight but very important differences. Thank you very much!
This was an awesome video on healing in savage and in general. Chances are I will be watching this again if/when I try healing myself. Thank you for making this video!!
I am thinking of trying out savage in 6.2 because of the new healer top, and your video is so helpful for me. Thanks, especially for giving specific right examples. That’s so useful to help visualize.
There's one thing missing from this, specifically for progression and recovery sections. And it's so crucial and such a game changer that I would even recommend updating the video with this in the dead center of the screen at *both* spots, all caps, etc. It's an incredibly simple piece of advice, and it's two words. BRING. ETHERS. The amount of people who call themselves "prog healer safety gamers" who also don't bring ethers is astounding. It's an instant 2800 mana that can be used on so many things, and if you're healing in a progression environment, or you know dps won't be an issue (but mana will be), ethers are a *game-changer*. BRING. ETHERS. Yes, you are giving up your potion cooldown, so you miss out on 30s of burst dps by doing that. But if you're in recovery mode, dps should be the last thing from your mind anyway. What you need to do is keep people healthy, pull the luldrg off the ground for the umpteenth time, and slap the DRK with your big healy stick because he panic popped Living Dead instead of Shadow Wall and TBN. BRING. ETHERS.
I like this guide. Very well organized and clean. Good work :) I was looking into taking my healing to the next level because I've sort of been underwhelmed in Endwalker. So thanks this should give me the insight and confidence I need to go forward.
Very well put together video Midna! Your edits were super clean and everything looked fantastic! The intro was very concise and straight to the point which is imo poorly done in most of the other youtube videos I see. (Obnoxious and long intros make me mad lol)
I was showcasing the difference between OGCD spells and GCD spells. Not specifically talking about heals because this is AST and any healer can be watching this.
The problem I often run into is that once we see enrage and I start trying to optimize, the DPS start greeding and making more mistakes forcing me to slide back into prog mode. So the only thing I'm able to optimize is my gcd uptime.
For some reason, I expected to see you say that I should just pick WHM and blood for the blood lily xD I can't talk to anyone in seriousness about this topic without being bombarded with his as a scholar if I don't use broil 24/7 I am doing something wrong and I'm just here asking myself "WHERE DO I HEAL/SHIELD THOOOOO WHY IS EVERYONE ONLY TALKING ABOUT DPS???". I know enrage makes it so that every instance of dps becomes crucial but also as a SCH main my icon is green and not red.
0:12 here and there she says people keep dying and I'm outta swiftcast also the heal check is coming up and there dps I rez'd decided to act before I can top him off
Since I already knew everything by finding it out (?) (like when I started playing, I noticed how you can slide cast or how mechanics repeat timed, etc etc etc), this video wasn't beneficial for me per se, but it was overall really good. Nicely done. Oh and a quick side note: AST does need to plan ahead their spell usage just as much (or perhaps even more so) than SCH and SGE whereas WHM requires a little less (mental) prep time (you mentioned how both SCH and SGE have to plan ahead in contrast to WHM and AST, so I wanted to comment on that). PS: AST is also the most fun healer IMO, and the reason I started playing for real and the reason I stuck to FFXIV in the beginning before the story and combat, FC, friends had gotten me attached.
Hello!! I’m so sorry about that. It seems they’ve been inactive for quite some time. Maybe things will go back to normal for Dawntrail, but I’m not 100% sure

I assure u that playing as healer on playstation is so much more fun and more manageable than on pc. 😊 Dear reader if ur dps randy please dont play healer. A healer never has to do dmg to the top. How you have heals setup definitely have my interest when you went over party moving out for the towers.

much depends on you but they will never say it - too busy being heroes - you can decide who lives and who doesnt LOL

Oh wow, thanks for the tip. I was always just estimating when I can move during the cast.
@@GreenDPS yeah its okay when u have the muscle memory, but if u struggle with slidecasting this should help
This was an amazingly well produced video with hard-to-find content in video format.

Good job Midna!!! I now know I have zero desire to heal in savage content lol. Keep up the good work!!!!
NOOO that’s the opposite effect I wanted hahahaha! Thanks for your support regardless!
Haha, I just know I don't the fortitude to keep cool like you do. I'd freak out. I have nothing but respect for your ability to heal this content.

Late to this video, but just got back into the game. I’m an Astrologian main, and this video made me subscribe! You’ve made my gameplay better.
This intro video for healing really helped motivate me to try learning how to heal savage raids! Very well done.
Thank you so much! I’m so glad I could give you some confidence on healing savage!!! 💕💕
Great guide!!
Amazing Video! Really top tier editing and solid content
Thanks Leon for all of your support!!
Great resource of information for raiding that I will definitely be referring to. Hope to see more videos like this in the future!
Great video Midna! As always, your voice is so soothing and nice to listen to.
Hello. I dont know if you'll see this but thank you for this video!! I learned a lot. Hoping to overcome healer anxiety in savage :D
Wishing you all the best with your healing adventures!!!
Yooo really really good job Midna, loved it!
Excellent!
Thank you for sharing,Midna.

Well done! Good info for a novice like me!
Hey, thanks for the video! This has been incredibly informative, much appreciated
Great job on the video Midna!
I’ve been looking forward to this :)
Finally dipping my toes into healer stuff, it’s scary!
thank you for this !!

This was a fantastic video!
I wish I had this guide before I started healing savage fights!!
Healers are 20% of all dps so as long as you get dots and dps done relatively regularly, healing is always main focus
Love the Guide! awesome videO!
Lovely Video from a Lovely Content Creator. Will come back to this video if I ever Decide to heal for raid.
Thank you always for your support!!

Its funny at 4:35 the OGCD examples were either not heals or needs a GCD heal to get its full use.

Would you ever do an AST guide from your perspective?
I'd like to someday, but I'm quite nervous about it! Not sure if I'm a good teacher hahaha
You mean I'm not supposed to have a 200% blown up hotbar with nothing but rescue on it??? Nice guide for sure though :D
Yes 100% this
so in regards to Fey's Temperance the webpage is not working and all discord links i find are invalid. so is discord server gone?
Hello!! I’m so sorry about that. It seems they’ve been inactive for quite some time. Maybe things will go back to normal for Dawntrail, but I’m not 100% sure
am i wrong in this : i just got 640 gear and it seems some bosses know it and hate me more !
Is fey’s temperance still active?
The discord still exists, but I think it’s going through a transition of leadership. I cannot say it’s currently “active” though
👀 now i wont be lost whenever i attempt to heal a savage
So you’ll heal and I’ll tank?
@@Midnababy YEP we'll finish this tier like we finished last tier when u tanked right
