  • INFP SOCIAL ANXIETY: TIPS TO REDUCE IT //
    If you’re an INFP, it’s very likely that you struggle with social anxiety. It can cause you a lot of stress and it’s not fun living with social anxiety. In this video, I want to share with you how I overcame social anxiety.
    Because as an INFP, I could really be sometimes an anxious introvert, and some other times, I have no trouble fitting in at all. But it was definitely present enough to stress me out and to affect my mood.
    So if you belong to INFPs, and if you want to get rid of social anxiety, I can share with you my experiences and the tips I’ve discovered. Because today, I feel like I’m beating social anxiety and by understanding more my INFP personality thanks to the MBTI personality system, I’m able to use my strength and be more authentic.
    If that’s something you’d like for yourself, I hope this video will be helpful, because I share my best social anxiety tips so that you can get over social anxiety! And since we’re pretty close, it also works for ENFP social anxiety.
    Enjoy the video, thank you for being here!

    Yeah discovering that I am introverted and what this mean exactly, and how it’s not shyness (even if I can be shy sometimes) have helped me a lot.
    I understand and respect myself more with that learning... and trying to increase my self esteem 💪
    But true be said... I have strong social anxiety. I think it’s because of many years of trying to look like the majority, and it’s sooo exhausting 😩
    Also feeling like I’m an alien, a unique strange person it was not helping much 😆
    Now it’s funny how the others peoples can think that I’m extroverted and not shy at all when I’m in the mood 😅
    Merci pour cette vidéo !

      You're on the right path! It's really a matter of owning your story and embracing your differences, because as you said, it's so exhausting trying to pretend to be someone else.
      There are obviously other people like us so we're not different or aliens, we just have to find the right people 😊
      Just be you and screw people who don't like it!
      Merci d'être ici !

    I am having a really difficult time even tackling job interviews... it's become a real phobia of mine. I'm three years removed from college now and I'm working at a job I love but doesn't pay well. I need to use my degree... it's just that I fear that I won't be good enough. I NEED to face this fear. I am strong, smart and capable. I'm worth of the job I want and am highly qualified to do... sorry I'm giving myself a pep talk here.

      Give yourself all that pep!
      Job interviews are a toughie because they're a formal environment where the idea IS to be JUDGED by other people which is horrifying for an INFP.
      What has helped me is to double down on my confidence and knowledge in my field and abilities. In social situations, what gives us anxiety is what we don't know:
      We don't know how people will react to us, we don't know what people think of us, we don't know if were annoying etc.
      BUT we DO know about our own abilities and passions, so double down and share them with a fiery passion!

      Kizzy, as a hiring manager in the healthcare field and an INFP, I follow the principles in Patrick Lencioni’s book “Ideal Team Player.” We look for employees who are humble, have people smarts (high emotional intelligence) and are hungry to work (no slackers). INFPs are all about authenticity, so just be your wonderful authentic self in the interviews. You got this!

    You've just earned yourself a new sub!
    You speak nothing but truths, INFP brother! You're damn right we gotta be proud about being our unique, authentic quirky selves.
    I do want to add that something that greatly helps this is at least 1 or 2 like minded people who can support you in your authenticity. Some INFPs, like myself, may have some deep rooted social and general anxiety problems so having some authentic external validation goes a super long way to help us be comfortable with our own actions, thoughts and way of being! ✌

    Thanks for this video mate it gave me new perspectives. I´m working a lot on coping with my social anxiety and I have reached a plateau where as i´m mentally OK but my physical body is having anxiety. To cope with that Im trying to "fake it until i make it" to give me enough experience to make my body relax and it´s starting to show its result after a couple of years.

    Hey just found your channel ! Love this video , subscribed. What helped me was seeing how the fear actually is created by my own thoughts, not the situation itself and applying real honesty when interacting with someone because often it feels like wearing a mask especially when the interaction is superficial , practicing meditation helps me to relax and be present and silence the mind with all its thoughts :)

    How do you feel about small talk? It absolutely drains the energy from me and I have brain fog afterwards lol

    • @MichaelSimone
      @MichaelSimone  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes I feel the same, it depends on what kind of small talk. If I feel like there's no point or meaning in the discussion, it will be dreadful. But if I decided to be social, I can like it because I can orient the conversation towards topics that I find meaningful!

    • @jamesa.1345
      @jamesa.1345 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MichaelSimone Thanks for the reply! Yes! If I see there is potential for meaningful conversation I don't mind it, because I know in the end there is a net energy gain. However, I work with people that I have very little in common with so we often never get past this stage and it often ends in prolonged awkward silences. I consider myself pretty competent at my job but the people aspect kills me.

      @@jamesa.1345 Ahah I know what you mean. Awkward silences are not fun at all.. I know it! The thing with me is that I can be very outgoing, and on the opposite, very awkward. If I have to guess why, I'd say it's because I'm trying to be someone else, and thus I feel pressure and awkward. One thing I've learned is that it helps to focus on what we have in common, even if it's just that we're going to die someday, because I believe we all have something in common and that we can learn from everyone, even when you don't think so. Everyone has a story and we can learn from it. Maybe it's worth a try :) tell me what you think!
