Hey, the other day my snake escaped because I forgot to double-check that my sister had put the clips on, and I was really worried so I watched your video about how to find lost snakes and it made me feel better. A day later we found him wedged between our toilet and the wall. He'd gotten himself stuck! Luckily he's chill and cool with anything, and he ate the next day and he's doing fantastic. :)
Boyfriend: what are you watching? Me: why snakes throw up Boyfriend: .... really?... why? Me: because hypothetically if I ever hypothetically want to get a snake I will be educated...
My pet duck, named Dog, passed away on Wednesday. We picked up his ashes a few hours ago. Your words help, they really do. “Not everyone is going to make it.” Such simple words make me feel better about his passing. He will be remembered with much love, even if he was a mean little drake. I still have three more ducks to make sure flourish and live on for him. Thank you, Emily. Even if you weren’t meaning to help in this way.
My spotted python Vladymir literally a year ago today actually got a pinky mouse stuck in his throat for 17 hours straight when he was almost 4 months old (It wasnt too big, he was just unlucky), he was completely oblivious of this and was just slithering around his enclosure looking like a bullfrog. We were going to take him to the vet but the moment he saw my dad he regurgitated his meal. That was an interesting experience.
I'd like to learn about the health concerns in snakes and any warning signs. I have a handsome boi for my snake and want to have an idea of what to look out for.
usually, an animal wont show you its sick. it will try and hide it. but if you noticed any unusual behavior or anything visible that could be a sign something is not right
So, not to be *that guy*, but when do you think we'll get another fan mail video? You and Ed opening mail, eating candy, and answering kids' questions is the most wholesome and best thing on TH-cam right now.
Hi Emily! I think a parasite video would be SUPER helpful since it isn't really talked about in the community. I especially am interested in zoonotic possibilities from parasites such as hookworms or pentastomes. Great information as always and thank you!
I would love to see some videos about illnesses, parasites and other health problems. It may be boring for some people but it would be very helpful for most.
My beloved garter had a URI and regurgitated his medication (a common side effect) and passed away. It's been two months and my heart still aches for him. Thank you for making this video and helping to inform everyone on this issue.

My fiance and I are sooo close to having over enough money to travel allll the way up there to go to the zoo when y'all open!!!! I'm so excited ❤️❤️😂🥳🥳🥳
I remember I went to a program at my zoo and we learned how to pick up snakes using a snake hook on one of their ambassadors. The snake has eaten the day before and I just remember it regurgitating blood. It wasn’t hurt, it’s stomach just got upset since it was handled too soon. Almost had a heart attack for a second since I thought I had hurt the snake by accident. Cool to see you guys make a video on this!
This helps, as I just got a hognose last Tuesday and her first feeding day is coming up shortly, and I had no idea what to do if she regurgitated. She’s a Red anaconda female that’s 100% het albino. She’s so beautiful and adorable! Her name is Mocha!
Fed my hoggy on Sunday, never had a problem in nearly 7 years. I left him to digest in private like I normally would, found him passed away this morning 💔 Looks like he regurgitated and didn’t make it. This video helped. All days I’ve been thinking about what I could have even done had I found him, so found your video. Thankyou, it helped to watch
I'd love to see a video on your guy's method of breeding feeders, raising them, culling them etc. I think it's really cool and not many videos are on TH-cam about it.
i'd love a video on different snake illnesses with details! it's the one thing i worry about when getting a snake because i have no idea what to look for other than scale rot
I have a corn snake who regurgitates occasionally. He's an older snake, and while he doesn't have any tumours (that I'm aware of), over the last year or so he has gotten to the point where if he eats too large a meal he will regurgitate it. I now feed him smaller meals on a more frequent basis and he mostly does fine, except for a very occasional regurge. His eyes are definitely bigger than his belly, because when he's hungry he'll eat whatever is put in front of him, it's only afterwards that he realises it's too big to digest. It took me a while to realise he needed smaller meals, but now he's on prey items a couple of sizes smaller he does fine. :)
It seemed like a ton of snakes refuted the week it was so so cold. At least there were tons on the snake groups I am part of. Even some of my good eaters had problems. Great video this should be shared on every reptile groups on Facebook.
1:43 I have a question, if you wait too long after feeding a snake, will it be aggressive while handling it? It may think you're food, so would that cause another problem, depending on the snake? 🐍
Great to see one of your adult supercondas! I just got my first snake, a female superconda (because of watching you guys) and it’s cool to see what she’ll look like all grown up. 😍 I adore her. She’s going to have the best life I can give her. 🐍🥰

Even though I don’t own a snake and don’t plan to for many many years (I know I wouldn’t be able to currently care for it properly) I do love writing stories with snakes and I like to be as accurate as possible when regarding the care of animals so these videos are great because they are both educational and entertaining.

You can also include some squashes (pumpkin, butternut, zucchini), carrots, peppers, and other veggies. Fruits are an occasional treat. Use a variety of insects and dust them. Mine gets crickets, mealworms, and dubias with superworms and hornworms as occasional treats.
i have a bearded dragon i feed it super worms (it is just a mealworm without a hard exoskeleton) i feed him horn worms as a treat dont get them from a garden those are poisonous
I recently watched your jumping spider video and literally the next day I discovered a massive black and white jumping spider living in the seam of my cars trunk. I was sure I'd be able to grab it but I saw it's massive fangs and it rears up at me! It is absolutely amazing and intimidating how it's able to follow my finger around with its eyes!
My first hog regurgitated twice and suddenly passed. I went through EVERYTHING with my vet and we ruled out all the normal reasons. Did a necropsy and his liver looked awful.
