Ugh I just went through this with my hoggie. He was off food for three freaking months, and I tried so many different things. I brained, I scented, I even tried slivers of chicken heart and he was just having none of it. He lost like 7-8 grams, which was a tenth of his weight, so I was freaking out. Eventually, I went back to the smaller fuzzies I'd previously got from a different supplier (different from the one I was getting the slightly larger fuzzies from when I thought he'd grown out of the smaller ones, and he DID eat the larger ones just fine for awhile), and all of a sudden he was like "oh yeah, food!" So either it was a total coincidence and he was ready to start eating again anyway, or the mice from that supplier are the only ones le likes enough to eat when he's feeling picky. But he seems to have developed a hatred of tongs, because even though I always tong-fed him before, now he refuses to touch the mouse unless I put it down and leave him be. He just headbutts it and hisses like a little jerk if I try to wave the mouse at him.

Leanne Paxton oh I know I just couldn’t resist putting him here since everyone loves him.
I’m lookin for a western hog nose snake as my first snake. I’ve been researching and studying for over a year now about reptiles and I fell in love with them. I have everything I need except a snake. I hope I find one soon. I’m disabled and can’t get out much so it would cheer me. I have a medical service dog too and I know he would love my little snakey too. I can’t wait. Just looking for one I can afford.
Yesssssss
@@guardiansanimalrescuestate7289 I had a year old female western hognose that sadly passed away a few weeks ago. They are wonderful snakes, usually friendly.. but mine was a sassy little girl lol. The only thing is that they're picky eaters, common knowledge but it can be dangerous, mine passed away due to refusing the food i was trying to feed her (pinkies).
Jewel Mines - Gacha & Games! : did u ask Emily? She also has a video on picky Eaters.
Did u gat a wild caught one?
You should collab with tanner from serpa design and let him set up one of the display cases in your zoo!
Minnah omg yes!! I love his videos and that would be amazing!
13:15 oh my God he's so pretty, that bright red with the yellow, it's perfect.
The blind rainbow boa OMG CUTENESS x infinity🥰🥰
Watching Jan 1, 2021 in anticipation of the 2021 breeding videos. Still months away I'm sure, but can't wait to see! May this year bring peace, joy, and lots of baby snakes!
“And we have brown snakes!”
Me, an Australian: uhhhh is that safe?
(Edit: I know they’re different species it was just a knee jerk reaction)
Abby Dabbs I did the same thing!! Australians think alike!
I thought the same thing...& I'm American! 😂
Me too and I'm English
The lavender is my favorite! I love purple. Don't know if I'll ever have a snake, and those aren't good first time ones anyway, but she's just beautiful.
"Use your words, Emily" lmao XD 28:29
I have a brown decay snake. We couldn't find any anywhere. One day my dad was out in the woods flipping logs and found the little guy and brought him home. That's how I got my decay. Not the best way to get an animal but he's doing fine
Wow! You're so patient and compassionate! I really love watching your videos!
I know I'm a bit late to watch this video, but I really love the DeKays Brown snakes, they're so cute! I can't wait til the grow up!
24:40-27:20 Delighted to see that the itsy-bitsy teenie-weenie little danger fettuccines are doing well.
30 minutes? You’ve spoiled us!
So 2021 is going to be a crazy exciting year with those breeding plans. Gosh I can't wait!
My daughter's okeetee corn snake is absolutely gorgeous, and all thanks to Arundel Reptiles in Maryland. I can't recommend them enough. Even two years after getting Noodle, Chris is there to answer questions and offer support.
27:00 if one stares into the snake bin long enough, one finds that the snake bin may stare back at you
AlienTheCat007 LMAO extremely underrated comment
I’m getting a corn snake, or a ball python soon (I finally convinced my dad) but idk which one I should actually get.
Smol Peanut I would recommend a corn snake, but both are great.
Did you get the snake? And if so how is it doing? :D
Ball, they’re really sweet and easy for beginners
I love how Emily talks to the snakes like they’re puppies 😂🤣
I'm so exited for you guys to have python babies best of luck to the future couple!!
I love your channel so much. You are the reason why I got my western hognose snake
