My mother-in-law was cleaning out her spare room and found one of these. She know I collect watches so gave me this yesterday so I’m super happy. Thanks for the detailed and easy to follow tutorial. The only thing that disappointed me about this watch is that the alarm only beeps for ten seconds then automatically shuts off. This makes it too easy to sleep through as a wake up alarm so unfortunately can’t be used for this purpose. But overall a very functional and funky retro watch.

Great tutorial. So much easier when shown. I’ve just finished fitting the bracelet version on my new watch and it’s the hardest I’ve done. Once you’ve removed the T-bar, you have to carefully force the link at right angles to the next link and slide the joining part along then out. Go easy.😮👍
Same experience with my Casio Royale. As a result, most of my Casios are cursed with the resin strap. Haha.
i have my CASIO Wave Ceptor EAW-WV-58DA-1AV for only two days (just arrived FROM USA) and i was looking on INTERNET and Google for TUTORIALS to know how to operate my watch till i find a nice , good and detailed , PLUS so easy to follow tutorial like yours.

But i cant use the AUTOMATIC ATOMIC TIME and MULTI BAND 5 features unless i go to visit JAPAN, ENGLAND OR COLORADO IN USA.

Hi Thanks for a thorough review and tutorial, I got this WV-59 for Christmas and have been really happy with it, I love the retro styling and the large readout , if it was solar and metal I think it would make a really good watch even better, thanks again stay safe.

And i knew a trick if you press 3 buttons at the same tiime ( ONLY NOT USE THE LIGHT BUTTON)
you can enter in the TEST MODE TO SEE IF YOUR CASIO WATCH is WORKING WELL.
Use forward to change and switch between TEST DISPLAY PAGES. (4 of them and each time you press forward you see a new one).
It was tough for me to adjust the band size on this watch. I thought I was going to break it but eventually I figured it out. Thanks for the video it was very helpful.
Can you offer some advice on how to adjust the band for the Casio Wave Ceptor watch?
@@MrMicahbennett ya sure if you look on the underside of the links theres a depression and an arrow that tells you witch way to push it. use something strong like a punch or a small phillips head. Its made like a wedge so its in there good. good luck man.

Your video help me immensely. I saw a previous instructions on how to put in a new battery. Don’t know why you had to put a paperclip to go to pos to neg hole at the end of installing a new battery? It seem to work just fine. I bought this New Years ago. The only thing that don’t work is the light. Don’t know if the auto time will work. If I don’t see any evidence that it didn’t I will close it off.

I'm both grateful for this video and mystified. Even the manual that cam with my watch (3053) and the only one I can download (3054) do not look quite the same as my watch but fortunately you are demonstrating on the very watch I have long struggled with. I also had to stumble across the home screen as you assumed that I was starting from there and I wasn't so a few extra words about how to get to it would have been useful. But where can I actually get the correct and matching manual ?😀

There's emulator apps for android that mimic radio tower signals. You place watch in receiving mode and near smartphone speakers. I use WWVB by myokku for the fort collins signal. ⌚
What series of battery to be able to power the Tough Solar? because the CR1620 battery is not solar tough
Some unrelated question here just need some people opinion,im about buying one of G-Shock GST B300 or Seiko SSC423 since i cant afford it at single shot since i have other hobbies too,been stuck for almost 3 months,and too bad i like them both,seiko offer mechaquartz and g-shock has chronograph too but has no sweeping hand...
So...some opinions are matters since my friends and my neighbourhood are mostly analog watch fans...dunno where i can talk to anymore so i post it here...
My favorite watch. I just wish it had more water resistance and a longer battery life.

Are you able to give some advice on adjusting the band?
I have an older version Model 3053 that is somewhere around 10 or more years old. It did fine until last week (either Oct 9,2021 {10/9/21} or early morning Oct 10, 2021 {10/10/21}) when it reset itself to 1/1/2005 I did notice the Satellite was gone and it lost 40 minutes. That reset made me late. I suspect the reset happened on Saturday as the am/pm was reversed. (Discovered that tonight when I was setting the watch; I noticed it was "A". Since I could not go backwards on my model, I had to cycle through forward until the "P" showed. So today October 16, 2021 (10/16/21), I went through all your steps of resetting it. BUT, the Satellite is still missing. How do you get the Satellite back? The DST is on and GET is in the ON setting, but with no Satellite I don't think it can automatically reset itself. The light don't work either. I did re-order one today, because if it reset itself once, it will probably do it again. But if I can get the Satellite back on, I will have it as a back-up.
Great tutorial! But I have an odd issue: my world times are off by an hour. I'm in the US with DST on, with Chicago as my home city. The world times for North America are correct, but those in Europe are an hour behind. Any idea what might be going on?

timer only 60 minutes? :-/ My Timex got 24 hours timer. I dont know why Casio limited this function so much. I dont understand their thinking.
Neither do I. Casio has some really cool looking retro/sci-fi watches in their pool but whenever it comes to a digital watch where functionality matters, I choose always Timex over Casio, any day and twice on Sundays.
