I think most of the story content in Kiwami straight up uses the same audio masters they uses for the original release. That's why sometimes the audio has a bit of bass to it and Kiryu isnt as consistent.

I figured that he was a real life person, considering how he had his own voice acting for that scene at the beginning and how this substory was quite long compared to some of the others. I love how Japanese celebrities and idols are willing to guest appear in Japanese games, at least in this series. I remember first playing Yakuza 0, I was like, "OMG! Ken Watanabe!" If a game company asked a Hollywood actor or idol to guest appear in a game, they would demand a ridiculous premium!
I know this is a late reply, but I like that Neck Break heat action ripped straight from Majima's Thug moveset, even Kiryu had that Thug stance for a second.
