A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one! Good job mate, pretty much perfect summary of the lore. Just some notes: - Veli is probably pronounced more like "veh-li" instead of "vilai" (the country is greek inspired so that is the most likely pronounciation, and its what I personally and most people seem to call it). - The map you use is the old outdated one. Its good to get an idea, but painfully innacurate and it may lead to misunderstandings. Admittedly, we don't have a proper map with borders anymore, but we have some general ideas of what it looks like. - Incredibly small pet pieve, but I feel Callahan's death in combat before the Battle of Red River should have gotten a mention, but I guess it got in the way of pacing. The only reason I used the old map is because it is the best looking map. And to be fair, when I was drawing the outlines of the ocean and seas I couldn't help but notice that a lot of what we have now, was actually allready on that map (or at least more than I expected). The Veli pronunciation we will just chalk up to a foreigner trying to pronounce it, just like how I shake my head when the rest of the world tries to pronounce Gouda ;). Also I really meant what I said in the shoutout, you guys at the wiki are doing a hell of a job and the lore page with all the references is a really awesome resources.
This is a really well made ressource for getting into the lore! Was kinda weird hearing names, read a dozen times finally spoken out loud, but what the hell gaelic is bad enough, you did an awesome job. Thanks a bunch!
Thank you for the kind words! The pronunciation is a bit of a headache because there's generally different ways of pronouncing them even if we take into account the real life languages/cultures they come from.
Thanks for making this video! I have a couple more suggestions/ ideas could you possibly make a map showing where each theoretical kingdom/nation/tribe would be. Maybe have certain colors for their borders because right now it’s pretty hard to look at the regular foxhole map and understand where exactly the Nevish or Veli nations are. Same goes for all of the Caoivish tribes. Thanks.
Thing is, devs don't really like to reveal that. So apart from Caoiva and northern part of Veli (which is Caoivish territory now anyway), is all we know about the borders.
As Matas pointed out, that is not really known. However... a long Lore/History video has been in the planning since forever and it would definitly show up in there for as far as we know and/or speculate. This is really meant as a quick way of getting an idea of what sort of wrold we inhabit.
@@chillpotato7239 Well, there wouldn't be much to point out anyways. All we know is Veli is south of Caoiva and Nicnevin is north of Caoiva. We don't know if there are any other nations on the map of Caoiva and the small area around it we currently have, but we know general directions, like the nation of Wenitai far east of the map, or the continent of Katoma is west of Raka (continent game is taking place on)
