A note from a medic: Always take a bandage with you. Always cover the medic healing you. Never let yourself be used as bait , rather "give up". Don't move when medic is healing you. Medics cannot always save you, and one medic si worth 10soldiers, keep that in mind. Fun fact: you can get "full cover" behind sleeper lol
As someone who has been playing the game for over 4 years now, and have spend hundreds of hours training new players in game. I'm so glad that we are getting really highly quality and informative Tutorial videos for the game now. Especially in a way that actually explains and shows the more indepth mechanics of the game. Also really good that it is coming from someone who knows how to make high quality videos... Because I tried, and was god awful at it. So I'm very glad that someone is doing it.
Bear: Informs you of what you're going to be doing (update vids). Robert: Informs you of what's going on (recap/news). Freerk: Informs you of how to get going (tutorials).
I am currently working on a new Bunker Base Tutorial video ( a long one) and hope to be able to make a Field Manual version (short version) of it as well. Bunker Bases though are failry complicated so it's going to be hard to get that down to 5minutes I fear. Tanks weren't really on my todo list as for now, I want to make and finish some other Fiel Manuals before that (currently working on logistics and medical)
@@FreerkHoltes :D thanks for the reply! I’ve gotten a lot of value from your videos!! I cannot seem to find many videos about artillery beyond the mechanics. May I ask a question? If I could ask a question of you, I would ask what it actually looks like with a good multi-battery team coordinating multiple fire missions. Are there any unique challenges to foxhole which can be overcome with known techniques? I am imagining a strategy of 3 two-gun batteries each with a FOO (forward operating officer) and a BCC (battery coordination commander). The FOO calls in fire missions from the BCC and the BCC brings either their two guns, or requests more guns from the other BCC’s. There would be two forward batteries that are always set up while the third is moving in a basic fire and maneuver pattern. The three FOO’s will be trained to listen for enemy guns. When an enemy is heard, the FOO would communicate their direction to FOO1 who then calculates the enemy guns’ location for a fire mission order. I estimate each battery would need at least two shell reloaders plus one shell delivery driver per battery. Thanks for all your videos!! :D
Regarding the aiming for new players - do not lead your shots at moving targets! Foxhole does not have ballistics implemented - your shots will just instantly hit whatever you aim at at the moment of pressing the trigger! Despite what the tracers show - those are just cosmetic effects without any attachment to the reality! One of many proofs of that (but the one you've certainly experienced) is when you lay wounded on the ground and the enemy finishes you off. You never hear the shot or see the tracer of the bullet approaching you - you just enter the spectating screen all of a sudden.
A bit of leading might be helpful to counter the slight desync between client and server. But in essence, yeah do not lead. As far as the tracers go, the easiest way to see they are a lie is go to the shooting range on Home Island (also a great spot to see and understand weapon stability) , or just watch my video on how the tracers are a lie :D : th-cam.com/video/6d8FgNZSky0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=S8FascST94Pzo_ti
Yes, having good awereness of how a frontline beahves and develops is going to be crucial to detemine where to position yourself which in turn gives you a massive leg up against your enemies
What is shadow dancing and how does it work? Is it true when you run by close someone and aim far far behind your target the cone of dispersion gets smaller, thus making it way more likely to hit your target?
Shadow dancing is flicking shots at the enemy while you are moving quickly to close the distance (erratically). Hitting them while doing that is going to be mostly RNG but some real good shadowdancers are able to put skill to work as well. As far as the cone of dispersion goes, I think that plays a role but I am not sure. Might be worth while testing that on Home Island on the Firing Range. You can find a pretty good explanation of Shadow Dancing in this video by Back Stabbath (timestamped): th-cam.com/video/3ZoTX5wcnog/w-d-xo.htmlsi=y1qb1m1EQkRRzj2x&t=292 And you can watch one of the OG Shadowdancers, Nemesis, at work on his channel. 6 and 7 in my (current) planning are Logistics and Medical but haven't gottena round to finishing those. I got time during devbranch to do the new weather mechanics and thats why that ne got released before the others. I have a long logistics one over here: th-cam.com/video/A6tFafmvjDw/w-d-xo.html (nicely divided in chapters) and a long medical one over here: th-cam.com/video/6fjsvoMVP5E/w-d-xo.html

Alaways great to hear it's also appreciated by veterans (though I do not necessarily make these for vets ) as well!

Thank you for the video. I never understood how suppression and cover worked until now. XD
You are welcome!
This is the jist of it, it's slighty more complicated than explained here but this should suffice to take advantage of the systems
Great video. Tanks and building a BB would be cool too!!

Good vid love the game have subbed and pressed the bell hello from Scotland :)
A hello from the highlands meets a hello from the lowlands: hello!
Always know if you're ina good position or a bad position.
A good position gets you kills. A bad position gets you killed.

hi is there any way to destroy barbed wire and or fences from a distance like artillery or mortar etc?
Nope, only the wrench or Hydra's Whisper will get rid of it. (or decay)
