when i first found the cursed rifle, i felt like i was in one of those old creepypastas. Most unsettling thing ive ever found in any game because how unexpected it was. But i just cant seem to drop it...
Oh yeah, gonna make a video on all the cursed items. The cursed rifle description is probably the creepiest. The blood pouring from the barrel. There’s a story behind it that I’ll be going over as well.
Indeed. There is a lot more darker locations in the game with excellent environmental storytelling There is for example a tree with a hanged Warden suggesting suicide. In a old bunker you can also see a very old warden corpse laying on a bed. You enter through a broken wall, and the main entrance is blocked by rubble suggesting that he died after being trapped
the trail of corpses was part of a different story about the warden retreat. The wardens tried to flee across the ice, but the colonials shelled the ice plunging them into it. the ice refroze trapping the corpses. There is a note somewhere describing a witness' horror at the sight, I think he committed suicide
Ahh I see, also the trail leading off downstream could be just the natural current flowing towards the ocean. I just like to believe its related to the conspiracy.
@@beeflord could also be related to the sea god, some kind of metaphor for afterlife or unrest. when I first found it the river hadn't been added to the game
Well, the supernatural has been confirmed to exist in foxhole through Dead Harvest, and maybe this part of the lore will be continued in dead harvest 2022
I wonder if there is anything out in the aging sea in the game, maybe with enough exploration you can find a place where you can reflect or look down into the water if you are on a boat.
Huh, I never knew of all the creepier stuff in the game world, so keep this coming! It’s such a contradiction that the Chronicles of Ashes stories are so dark and these Easter Eggs are so creepy, yet the actual community is so comically goofy
Among the bustle of war it's only random chance that one stumbles across a lore tibbit before it's blow to pieces or walled off in barbed wire and traind guns.
Reminds me of that game dev who was a serial killer of women and he put math codes that lead to someone confronting him on reddit, and later the guy killed himself the same day he admitted on that reddit account that it was about his murders. Locations in some warcraft place actually, in the original vanilla related to stonetalons names of its areas I recall now.
Old warfare always has the flavor of the otherworldly. We were less certain and arrogant of our technological mastery and of what the future may bring. Of what lay beyond what we could sense and detect and confirm. I will point out though, that hte note you have at 6:05 differs from the one I found ingame, Baker shard as a warden in the approximate position. "nearby gunfire" halts, not fog. Careful with the versioning. The canon isn't totally settled.
Another video showed that even vampires are part of the lore. A family with a king named Niall Callum are all buried in some area, but the grave of his daughter is open and her corpse is exhumed. the interesting bit is that she has a wooden stake piercing her chest. - She died, not eating for a long time, ultimately turning pale and perishing. Her grave is somewhere between "The River Vein" and "Trail Of The Dead."
I feel like it's somehow connected to the gas grenades in Foxhole. Green ash. Emerald sea. Green mist around a skeleton. Some sort of fog on the ocean. What of green ash is weaponized aging sea mist?
wait a minute, green ashe instantly makes your character start bleeding...and that skeleton on the docks was green and consumed quickly by something that turned it green.....
You may be on to something here Beef. The Foxhole devs are shrewd, they play their cards close to their chest at the best of times, and we already know Foxhole is a very dark place.
Really enjoy all this weird, esoteric lore from Foxhole, goes to show that when you're not waiting in a crappy trench for 3 hours getting shelled by Collies. weird shit is happening in other places all around the apocalyptic world.
@@beeflord Farranac Coast J12 k7. there's a massive rock near the water with a cave entrance you can access from the shore. if you spawn in Jade cove and follow the main road heading east then follow the beach you can see the entrance. inside there's barrels, 2 tents and a fire pit. you can interact with the fire pit and tents for more lore but all they say is that its been abandoned for a long time except for 1 tent that has notes of 2 wardens keeping a score of collie's they've spotted. specifically a collie tank and an injured colonial. maybe they were partisans in this was their hiding spot?
Hey do you know about skeletons that are crucified in Loc Mor, in the *Western* part of the region. I just stumbled upon it while trying to cut across the plains. Edit: Sorry, got my cardinal directions mixed up
The western seas appear to be under the influance of an ancient eldrich god due to how much more cursed lore bits connect to it compared to the eastern seas.

I like this creepy side to the lore, the devs wouldn’t have written it this way if they didn’t want it to feel creepy

that's a good find too. I have a few more lore videos planned on items like that.

Oh like Napoleon did to the Russians, thats a nice nod to history

Is it comfirmed gonna happen this year? I haven’t gotten to play it yet

That would be dope
Ah yes, eldrich horrors beyond human comprehension
I really hope the devs put more into the lore.
I’m sure they will

the dicotomy of man and lore haha

That’s fascinating. Do you by any chance know the guys name or more info? I’d love to look into this
Are you about the "WoW's Darkest Secret"? That was just a story made up to criticize Blizzard's writers.
@@sswyvern5350 the feds part was true
the presentation is top notch here makes something that was pretty tame and vauge scary excellent work!

Perfect to listen to on a dark blizzard storm in the comforts of a speeding logi truck
Sounds cozi

Wrong question.
What’s IN the water that could be weaponized?

I like this series because I can never find these lore spots myself xD. except for that large cave with tents and supplies hidden near the water
Hidden cave? Whats there? Also glad u like

With the submarine maybe you can explore what’s under the aging sea now. Do you think the devs added anything?
I love lore.
I love lamp
What if the aging sea is called that because random individuals will be aged to bone being near it when the emerald fog rolls in
there's also a sub in firemore
