Unversal Studios Great Britain July full site update with RAILWAY bridge update

- So we are over half way through July 2024 and it's time to check out the latest updates from the potential site of Universal Studios in the UK. Not a great deal is going on on the sourth side, the crops are almost ready to harvest but we have an important update for the rail bridge at Kempston Hardwick station and something new has appeared on the North side.
Two houses from the north side have been purchased by Universal, the others are in progress
This piece of land was the perfect idea because it had a concrete factory across the road and it didn't have to import it from any country from anywhere in the UK and just straight away for demand of concrete every day and and progress into it they don't need to go out and find concrete and get supply and all that this is the perfect piece of land and is a concrete factory next door and it can cost a fortune to make a concrete factory in the UK so there's already one there and that's why the piece of land is important for universal studios
All large construction projects build their own concrete factory onsite. It's costed for the project. Large housing developments have them and civil engineering projects.
It wouldn't matter if this site didn't have one nearby. It would 100 percent be produced onsite.
At 4:00 you are correct in saying those sidings to the right were used for rubbish trains, known as the 'binliner', not too long ago the gantry crane was still there abandoned. They were all at one time used by the brick works, most were where the empty ballast is and now removed. Looks like they are going to begin using the sidings again to load waste onto trucks.
I found planning application dates 2022 that reads:
'Proposed use of Stewartby Rail Sidings, hardstanding and access roads, replacement weighbridge and office, new wheelwash and acoustic barrier for the importation of material by train for export from the site by road. '
I wonder if the 'importation of material' will be rubbish to goto the incenerator? A new wheel wash, a weigh bridge.... all points toward waste disposal.
@@ProjectUniversalUK Yes all very vague about where it will go, the environment agency application I found makes it clear it will only be inert waste. One of the news articles seems to think it will be used to fill in an old quarry pit
I'm sure people ask you all the time but what make and model is your drone? Amazing shots. Watching what the farmers will do with the crops.
This drone is a DJI air2s.
They say they haven't made a final decision but I think the chance of this not happening is about the same as the London Resort happening.

I love these updates every week on universal studios I think it's a good thing and we're hoping it goes ahead now and it won't be a flock another France company want to be built in this country too
Out of interest. Done know if they would be allowed to use the lake as apart of the park? As in throw fountains/shows projections type of thing in there?
They do not own it so hard to tell.
I've not been keeping up with all the news about Universal UK, but if I remember correctly, the theme park itself is earmarked for 175 acres of the almost 500 bought?
Isn't Chessington as a whole (theme park, zoo and hotel(s)) somewhere like 130 acres? So in comparsion it's going to be quite massive and just look at what kind of rides they've managed to fit into their park
I don't know the detail off the top of my head but you are correct, they have brought a whole lot more land than they will be using to start with. The North site is earmarked as multi use which I guess means no real plan as yet.

I'm trying to stay away from making those type of videos as there are enough people doing it already on TH-cam. I'm lucky enough to live right next door to site and have decided to concentrate on the day to day story. Although admittedly right now it's a struggle to find content but once ( 🤞) construction starts I should have enough content to keep everyone occupied for years.
Universal studios dipping buying the properties at the houses at the front gate and they've already bought two houses already I don't know they bought another to that but they are trying to buy another two houses
its like the camera when building on park beyond on ps5,shame you cant start building that way lol.

Essential studios is come to to be announced this project everything parking UK needs a lot of investment now to catch up with intellectual studios like Blackpool Thorpe park open towers Brighton manor all the theme parks all the investments no it looks like it's going ahead since international studios is put a nail in the coffin said they're going to come and build in the UK we haven't seen any new theme park new projects getting built as roller coasters in the UK for since 1991
What is the point in these updates. Not being funny but this Universal theme park could be a flop. Yes they have brought land but that means nothing it;s so easy to sell it back.
But what if it's a great success?
I think universal will have more off an idea if a uk park will be more successful than you.
It's recording history. I love playing with the time slider on google earth and google street view. Imagine you could look back at how things used to be at any time and any place you wanted. I'd love it. Footage like this is fairly boring right now but becomes fascinating to look back on if the area gets transformed.

What's the point of a knees updates Sony questions on your they can't sell the land back they're already bought two houses they're already festered in a lot of money into this piece of land they're not going to sell this back and the District council six council's won't this piece of land and the project to go ahead is just as election couple of weeks ago and their person who was in charge of a reflection she's been throwing down lost the seats and basically it's a better communication difference now they've got to go through a new person and a and I hope you keep keep bringing this new updates me I appreciate I was talking to the last person who is coming to Daniel post it's not they can't sell the slime back it's more competition is another studio called France wanna build in the UK to they had never been park it's already been posted since 2022 and they want to come and build on another piece of land in the UK somewhere I don't know where that

I think what you're saying is they've put a lot of money into the project to pull out now, and the fact they've purchased 2 houses shows favour that this will go ahead, the council that universal had been talking to has now gone and been replaced with the opposition therefore universal are back to square one on that part (don't see this being a problem as any local politician would love to take credit for this park going ahead)
