Thank you for this comparison Leo - really great video! I had my mind made up in the features section... then had it changed in the sound comparison section... and finally decided that any of these units can do very well. They all have their strengths. Thats never happened to me before :-) I think you are right that if the GE250 had stereo send/return it would be perfect for me personally but I really am an fx geek and like the idea of the Pod Go :-) Thank you again for an excellent comparison. I got a Pod Go shortly after they came out. I've had various units including a sans Amp RK5 1st version, zoom g5, and lots of Amps etc. Your videos helped me make the right choice for me The Pod Go can get a very close quality sound (at least 95%) to the other units as I AB each unit using a radial mic/line switcher while running them through a PA. Playing live after a few songs any of these sounds and I would be happy. For the price and what it can do it is simply the best option for me as my band is quite diverse so I need to be able to call up country, modern rock, classic rock, pop and metal. Just amazing what is possible for the price these days. I haven't even scratched the surface regarding using all of the models effects etc. I get about 6 basic sounds and that's it. I pretty much started to sell stuff on reverb etc so I can just concentrate on pod go. It's all there 99% of what you will ever need if you play live and or do basic recording. One box no more headaches with 4 or5 different pedals 🙏👍🏽👌🏽

    I bought a second hand Mooer GE 300 for only € 365. What a great unit !
My setup is now Fishman aura spectrum into keeley looper pedal, into TC Polytune, into Wampler tumnus overdrive v2, into the Mooer ge300, with a Strymon Dig in the stereo effectloop of the mooer.
    Sounds absolutely great !

Another great video, Leo. Thank you so much. I own the GE250 and the more I use it, the happier I am with it. Yesterday, I played my first big gig, and it sounded amazing through the PA. The XLR outputs straight into the PA made setting things up really easy. I also found the simple but very bright screen to be great in a live setting. For practice sessions, the rhythm machine sounds surprisingly good, and much, much nicer than the rhythm sounds on my old Zoom G5 (although I haven't heard the G6). The one really annoying feature of the GE250 is that you can't disable the tuner or the looper, so you have to be careful in a live setting that you don't hit two foot switches at the same time by accident, killing the sound (with the tuner), or even worse, accidentally triggering the looper!

I got my Pod Go a while ago and I've never felt any regret. It really depends on taste. For me, this was the perfect decision and with my favorite IR, everything sounds great. Since I'm in need of a unit, that works in live situations, the amount auf footswitches made it for me. The last update included an acoustic simulation, which I hoped for. It's not perfect, but still decent. At this point, I don't think you can go wrong with either the Pod Go or one of the other units. They all sound good enough for live music. Thank you for another great video! Cheers :)

Another great video Leo! You got great tones out of all the modellers. Much like this commenter, I have never regretted my POD Go purchase. I actually got to show and demonstrate it to my neighbor across the street yesterday who is a modern metal player using a 7 string. He loved the way it sounded and how easy it was to get usable tones immediately without much tweaking. He's a Boss GT100 owner and might switch to the POD Go. The reverbs and delays are just magnificent. God bless and rock on 😎👍🎸

The availability of the Pod Go Wireless @ 539 Euro swayed my decision, after finally finding one. Its still en route...
Without wireless, it would have still won for me, because with a different Mooer unit I tried, I did not like the way it sounded on the types of patches I prefer.
Also, the stereo FX loop is really critical, when you want to put an Eventide H9 on it. Things like "Shimmer" or the many delays just have to be stereo...
The bummers on the Pod Go are lack of Midi, lack of touch screen and from what I read, lack of processing power to use all slots in the chain, depending on your FX choices.
If I insisted on that, I'd have to go to 800 Euro for a huge and heavy Helix LT.
Its funny that you just made a new comparison with the Pod Go just after I ordered it :) :)

I think the choice is hard between the GE250 and the Pod Go, but since it is possible to pick up an HX Stomp for around $400-500 second hand, I bought one of those instead .... it doesn't have many footswitches, but I'm handling that with a MIDI footcontroller as the HX Stomp has MIDI in, out, and thru. Of course it doesn't have a built in expression pedal, so unless you already own one, you might have to add an extra $50-$100 to add one.

Pitch shifter is bad in the GE250, except this point I am really happy of my choice.
It's small, 3 footswitches are enough for a song so I have a standard 3-set I use for 80% of songs and some other set.
So easy to use, exp pedal is too small but you can't have everything.

I read a lot of different opinions here. I've been sifting through all the various videos of different modeling units and the consensus seems to be there's very little difference between them. Some, like the Ampero, have more connection options. My biggest question is which one is the most intuitive? I have a Helix floor and the Ampero. The Ampero sounds better. It's also easier to dial in a good sound and it's small. The Marshall in the Ampero is great! I will have to figure out if I can get all of the sounds I need live with the Ampero and that could be a challenge because it only has 4 foot switches but it definitely sounds better than my Helix. I can't seem to get delay trails to work between foot switches and that could be a deal breaker. I thinks they only work with the control switch. If anyone knows, please comment otherwise the Ampero is the best sounding modeler I've ever tried.

Hi, I'm not an effect geek, and I'm fine with just few of them....so this is not a limitation for me...but it depends from your needs. As regards the freq, I typically record at 48khz, 24 bits...and (unless you go through many ADA conversion stages) the difference with 44.1 is negligible.

Leo, I see you have two guitars that are very much like Steinberger ZT3 guitars, or previous models... Did you ever try the Steinberger with the tuning tremolo called "trans trem"...?
You can bend chords up and down with the whammy bar and they'll stay perfectly in tune...

Hi, I never tried the Steinberger ZT3 actually...interesting guitar for sure...thank you for pointing it out!

@@LeoGibsonGtr Its a little hard to get your hands on one these days, since Steinberger is defunct, sadly. You can still get parts, but the ZT3 is pretty much only available by way of Japanese Re-Imports on Ebay around 3k Euro, which is more than they originally cost in the stores...

      I didn't know it...well 3k is a pretty premium price...

It's sad to see where Zoom has landed with regards to their multi effects units. I bought their original 9001 back in '91 and that was considered state of the art all those years ago for something in that category but today, their ME units are identified as second-tier products even when compared to Chinese upstarts. As others have noted, its processing power is nearly tapped out after only three or four pedals...this is ridiculous. That's what you expect from a toy, not something any professional would use. Someone at Zoom needs to get their shit together; otherwise, the name will continue to be synonymous with cheap, plastic units that look like they were designed by a bored high school metalhead scribbling on a notepad during detention...and the Pep Boys fake carbon fiber...need I say more?
