I've been telling people since the day R&C trailers dropped, that it should come to PC. Guess what I was told. "It can only run on PS5" lol People really do let themselves get brainwashed.
Coming from the PS2 era of my childhood (and back when R&C was more BASED and EPIC) I'm all more than welcome for these news.

Love how people are now coping over the Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart PC bs when just 2 years ago they were hyping it up and then all went silent two years until now.
These people are just hyping it up, then going silent and then coping when it comes to PC...these PS fanboys are really stupid.

We had games released in the mid 2000's that had the the no loading screen transitions that Rift Apart has Sony fanboys are acting like it's something new that requires a special SSD when it really doesn't lol
Seems that Sony's SSD kraken compression system was just a large fluffy squid at the end of the day.
It was all big and good but the ultimate truth is that PC has more powerful processors and direct storage now.
Ratchet & Clank were added to the PS Studios intro animation on PC when Spider-Man came out last year, so I knew this was coming. Every other game in the intro had already been announced, so in my mind it was only a matter of time.
Except Ratchet and Clank were always in that intro. It used a clip from Into the Nexus
@@hwanniggles187 They were not in that intro with HZD or GoW. And which game clip was shown was irrelevant. The fact that it showed R&C when no R&C games had been announced told me that one of those games was coming. Rift Apart made the most sense given what we had seen with other PC ports from Sony
No, No, No....Sony and the Ponies said the Game was Only Possible on the PS5, so it can't come to PC....Sony would never outright Lie.. LOL

Since this is just a rumour for now, I'll hold in my excitement. I want to wait for Sony or Nixxes themselves to confirm Rift Apart is coming to PC first.

I think the PS5 fanboys (I have one btw) are more upset over the fact that they likely paid hundreds of dollars on a PS5 to play this game, while PC players have likely had their PCs for years.

@@orlandofurioso7329 I played it and honesty was a little disappointed with the gameplay. Technically didn't buy it so at least there's that.
The first console I ever had that was my own was the ps2. I will always have an opinion on which console is better but I want everyone to have the option to play my favorite games on a console/ pc of their choosing. I was happy when GOW and Spiderman got ported to pc.
Rift Apart is a good balance of being standalone while also rewarding long time fans with its overarching story (even though that fumbles a lot too)
Not to mention it feels like it's the start of a new story, having a lot of set up for a sequel
The more exclusives they lose the better it is gor gamers and hilarity for PC gamers. Next exlusives should be Nintendo.
We are going to get a PS4 emulator running bloodborne before Sony pulls their head out of their asses and port it at this point.

The thing with Bloodborne is that it was a collab between Sony's Japanese division (JapanStudio) which was disbanded and FromSoft and all that legal mumbo jumbo they would have to go through. Could explain why GRAVITY RUSH 2 NEVER GOT A 60FPS UPDATE BUT A SHITHOLE LIKE DAYS GONE DID. WHAT THE FUCK SONY

Gamers who grew up with PC may not be so inclined to play a platformer. But more games on the PC is a good thing.
2016 wasn't a hard reset. It was a tie in to a dogwater reimagining of the origin story.
1:10 the main thing is that your console won't use an nvme under 7000 in speed. That's what sony was boasting about. Most nvme used in pc nowadays are at best 3500 because you don't need faster ones due to games STILL need to work on hard drive.
They created a tech around those kind of nvme models to optimise everything (and that game IS well optimised).
Finished the game on ps5 years ago. But man I hope it comes out on steam. We don't want to the licence to get stuck on ps3 to never come back (all R&C future games sadly).

Dude I've been saying it for years, I'd kill for a functional Halo game on Switch, I'm all for the phasing out of exclusivity. If Gamepass comes to Switch I will absolutely be playing Halo on my Switch.

Probably about the same with longer load times, as far as i know hard drives don't really impact performance aside from load times.

minimum spec on lots of modern games call for an SSD. I imagine Ratchet & clank will too

Games shouldn't be locked at that seen as system sellers or a identity of a console. I get it Tekken and such are remembered for being only on the PS2 and etc but screw that and let's preserve these rad games right!?
People still forget halo was also on the PC and almost a damn mac exclusive too from some crying and mentioning those who are "reps" of said box of plastic.
Honestly.. The good thing about the PS5 is that it's almost entirely off the rack hardware so in theory should be easy to port to PC which is what surprised me with TLOU. still baffling.

Rachet and clank is a great game series that i still need to complete. I most likely will try to beat all of them and then beat rift apart when it releases on the pc.

Consoles never launched with an SSD let alone an NVME SSD. Sony marketed with extra magical fluff adjectives for what PC took for granted.
Modern day equivalent of "Blast Processing".
PS5 did have the fastest drive on the market for all of two months before Samsung 980's hit shelves.

Yeah, I personally would buy a ratcher and clank 3 port, but I'm generally not interested in buying these sony games, the main attraction here is the salt.
But there are people who will be interested in buying them, so it's only good to release them on PC.

I hope this is true because I won't need to buy a PS5 just for this game. There's hope we get PC releases for ghosts of tsushima, Demon Souls remake and Bloodborne. It might be weird to want Knack and Gravity Rush on PC, but I'm not sure about those two. As I've said before, having more exclusive games going to other platforms is always a great thing. More people get to play them.

@@liamflan9553 Bloodborne getting a PC port would be great, but I can't see it happening. It's going to be trapped on PS4 forever even though it's also playable on PS5. The only way you can play it on PC officially is through the PS Plus streaming.
I don't think Knack will be ported because it was not successful, shame really, i liked how cruel that game was, very high risk high reward

You're wrong about Sony's SSD, their file compressions system was unmatched but PC's have caught up to it at this point. This happens every generation, consoles release with some decent gimmick that PC's eventually copy, it's literally how consoles are competitive in the market, they have to meet mic range specs for ~$600. A similar thing has happened with their VR headsets, everyone is classifying the PSVR2 as the best headset out right now due to their eye tracked upscaling, but of course PC headsets will come out with something better.

The game is trash on pc anyway, constant stuttering even on low with a fucking rtx 2080s. Can play many other games maxed out but this port is shit. Yes I have the game installed in a nvme drive and jumping through portals is very quick almost like the ps5 but the constant frame drops is super annoying or was annoying until I beat it. Final boss Dr douchebag it dropped frames alot even on medium settings like wtf and the dumbass shot gun or whatever it's called would make the game lag really bad too but on the ps5 this isn't an issue. I know people say the ps5 isn't as fast an rtx 2080s but judging from this port it really feels that way, games always tend to look and perform better on a ps5 compared to my pc.
Well tbh Sonys SSD talks were 100% true . At the time of those talks it was faster than any SSD out on market.. Time advances so ofcourse its not true anymore. Anyways i hope all PS exclusives come to pc 💪
