- Hi friends! Thanks for joining me on this low budget DIY kitchen makeover! I did NO RENOVATION on this dated late 80s kitchen. Thanks to Daich Coatings for sending me their LuxRock countertop kit in platinum white! It's so beautiful! I redid the countertops and the cabinets, and finished with some thrifty accents for a whole new look in my kitchen for very little money.

I did not have a lot of confidence in that counter top kit. I can't believe how well it turned out. Looks amazing.

Hi Tasha OMG is there anything you can not do. I am amazed at your talent, but also your energy. Our kitchen has old white cabinets. Some people told they thought I should do grey and black. I like light and bright. I am so tired of our counter tops though. You did the perfect job. We paint our floor, and it needs done , but our cat woukd have to stay out of the kitchen for a day and night. I really wish I had Tasha know how and amazing energy. Now, you deserve a break. Thanks for showing us we can change up our house without demolition. ❤❤❤❤

I want you to know I was screaming at my iPad screen accessible beige…. please pick accessible beige, such a beautiful color. This transformation took your kitchen into the current decade you did an amazing job, and props to your brother for painting the cabins🥰.

Second …you gave me the confidence to tackle our ugly headboard..I know it is not the kitchen but I got chalk paint and painted the headboard and because our house is a 1940s old cottagey house I distressed it with a big nail file.
Third I thrifted at an estate sale last week a linen and silk shirt, a poets blouse in all cotton, a Tommy Hilfiger pair of jeans cropped…ankle length on me, joggers, a denim white jacket and a cotton maxi dress for twelve dollars and fifty cents. Everything fit…no trying on at estate sales usually. Thrifting clothes that I up and would have been over four hundred dollars…all brands I can not afford. The estate sale guy said the people moved into a condo and left everything. Have a great rest of the week and rest. ❤❤❤❤

We paint our kitchen floor..I want to redo because it's time but since then we have a big spoiled kitty who would be very upset if it interfered with his schedule. Lol 😆

So beautiful you’re very clever.
I was using “antiquing” gel way back in the late 1960s. I still own the four items I used it on, and it lasted. I also painted my “fruitwood” cabinets in the 70s and it looked sooo good. I used oil paint that spread nicely, with no brush marks.

How cool the The Lacy B Pottery is right here in my front door I live in Gore Springs,Mississippi she lives in Grenada,Ms or in Holcomb,Ms not really sure but it’s all gorgeous.
The other big thing here is all made in Mississippi and so is the Peter’s pottery all made here from Mississippi..

The kitchen turned out beautifully! I have so many projects that I’d like to do but time (and a stubborn husband who wants to leave well enough alone), they will get done eventually! I do plan to do a board and batten wall in my livingroom over the 4th of July weekend. Wish me luck!
