I AM THE BRINGER OF DEATH ---------- Displate: displate.com/p... Gear: preachgaming.c... Twitter: @Preachgaming Live Stream - twitch.tv/preachlfw Website: preachgaming.com/ ---------
My "finish this week if things go well" prediction from a couple days ago still holds, because things are not going well, and there's at least three more monsters after this. This is officially the point where Iceborne expects you to have reasonably optimized gear, a good handle on the mechanics, and a feel for the flow of fights, and while Preach may be gradually gaining the last one, I can't imagine he has the first two.
Indeed, it's almost naively adorable how much he's struggling with raging brachy so much but thinks he can handle Alatreon. Especially with that terrible build he is running. The amount of people who are saying this isn't a gear issue are delusional. If he had better gear he would absolutely have beaten brachy already.
There is definetly a skill issue, the fact that multiple times he has dodged away from brachy instead of into him doesnt help as he still gets hit, or that he still hits the arms and gets blasted right after or that he wakes up from a tumble right into the monsters combo. He does need to improve the decos, not oblgatory but they would help, maybe health boost, blessing and speed eating to outlast the fight better and there is an argument for evade extender 1,2 or 3 depending on his preference but his actual armor and weapons are more than good enough. At the end him thinking about the cat using paralysis is a good idea as it could give him 1 or 2 freebies in the fight (brachy has little health so it might help a bit, but he doesnt know that) but thats about it.
@@rawrxdtonepforme9360 nah were just better at the game than you can imagine I guess? Im not tryna be smug about that, im being genuine. I neglected upgrading my armor until Fatty and I was around MR90 when I killed alatreon with no augments on any gear. I didn't even use a good ele build, I just built silver rath set a few days ago since i got the itch to return to IB from watching Mike... And I beat alatreon the day after he dropped LMFAO Gear could be better, I'm not gaslighting you, but he could be a lot better too. Superman dive alone would change his life rn
@blkhailink5963 You could literally make similar arguments for why this is a gear issue and not a skill issue. I'm including decorations when I say gear. If he had different skills equipped he would have won already. Just max anti blast and health boost would make a world of difference. He's not optimized at all for damage so 50% ehp increase for a minimal dps lose would be huge. There have been multiple runs where he would have won if he didn't get one to two by everything. On the same coin there were multiple runs where he would have won if he knew the existence of mechanics or had a better understanding of them. Which its basically an impossibility for him to learn them organically at this point.
@@rawrxdtonepforme9360 you're totally right. But I think Mike will have a lot more fun getting hit less, rather than mitigating the damage and praying. If he doesn't learn about I frames on the floor or superman dive it's only getting rougher from here. I think stream chat gotta step in before his opinion of the game begins to suffer for it
Him not picking shinies are MEGA annoying. Gives him a look of: "i'm above you, peasants. I will not scrape little things to get new piece of gear. I will crush my head against that wall until it breaks, and then cheat, when I will not have enough mats".
He thinks the difficulty spiked out of nowhere but tbf to Mike, these endgame quests were added in later title updates and somehow being accessible at MR24+ only led him to believe they're doable at his stage of personal progress. He's missing the base game progression of fighting the rest of the guiding lands monsters into tempered monsters.
@@Erikson564 alot of the stuff were gated by high MR and then they changed it because casuals were upset as well as that they wanted people to get to endgame as soon as possible for some reason
@@treebush to be fair, if they add updates to the game, expecting a new player to grind for 30 hours just to have access to the final final final monster would be kind of silly.
No way you should switch weapons at this point, that's too much learning at a hard ass fight. You have made lots of changes in the right directions, just couple things else
At this point I’m starting to believe it’s not a skill issue, Mike would have to reach speedrunning adjacent skills to beat it it seems. I’ve seen way worse (longsword) players beat bracky so I’m thinking it’s a bad matchup with a weapon that has no parries / block and low mobility
No, he just doesn't know how the blast mechanic works. There's a debuff it applies that he isn't seeing, and he needs to use his full knockdown frames to not get wombo'd. The entire first phase is just about understanding how to read his color scheme and know when to be in and out.
Plenty of good swaxe brachy kills on TH-cam. He just doesn’t know the move set or how to use it (treats it like GS almost, always walking around in sword mode). His lack of understanding around s and superman dives/staying on the ground were like 98% of carts
Not understanding your gear slots, slingshot, dodging, weapon kit and the blast blight which was explained is 100% a skill issue. I've lost count how many times he was swinging away at a primed Brachy limb, only to get a slime drop and ruin DPS phase. It's entertaining but he's just not applying knowledge and his toolkit
I think he has the skill to beat it with a better set up, but he's not good enough to make his current build work. Even just a level or 2 of Evade Extender would be a game changer. He has hit the endgame skill check though, Alatreon/Fatalis/AT Velk are going to be huge undertakings for him even if he turned on chat and optimised his build

Watching this just reiterates to me how almost mandatory evade extender is on swaxe

they rly should have been gated behinde a higher MR rank, like 70 or smthing

I think divine blessing and a couple of points in evade extender would trivialize brachy for him

Get mix nargacuga gear for evade and evade extender and I think he will be ok
An hour and a half of shitty ass WoW nonsense.

Swaxe is only low mobility if you don't use morph skills or axe mode!
