By the Switch Axe while in the Amp stat need to hold Triangle and Circle to get attached on the monster part and nice feature, u can aim it while in focus move for a nice 90° turn (idk if u can turn 180°)
I'm literally itchin, I only got to play Sunday for personal reasons. I usually play hunting horn but I wanted to try long sword and the wilds version is actually so cool. I'm still terrible at it though lol. I didn't get to try any other weapons either so I really want another demo like people are speculating
You're still able to do Zero Sum Discharge - To latch on, you need to hold down Triangle + Circle. To do one on the ground, just press that input. Hope this helps. (I was freaking out they took it away from us for a minute)
Hopped in beta , played an entire day of gunlance , beta ended , went back and installed MHW again , crafted a gunlance , its just not the same.....I see so many issues with the weapon that were mostly fixed with Wilds. Waiting untill Feb 28th is one of the hardest things I had to do this whole year
Nah, I'm sorry, but world/bore/rise/break IG deserves A/S tier! Wilds IG deserves its own C tier! Here's the thing with the IG as I see it. The control scheme, the way the moves no longer chain together into a dance/ flow like it used to, AND yes, the lack of bounce, all are a disservice to this weapon! Listen, I'm all for trying something different/ new, but these changes are TOO different, and not in a good way! I'll start off by just saying it, the bounce was just plain fun! DPS be dammed! No TRUE glaive user was depending on the bounce for dps anyway! It was just fun to do! It was a way to reposition and evade, and it was damn fun to do! And to make matters worse, it's not something that HAD to be removed entirely! Limit it, fine! But to remove it altogether is just lame! Why even have the ability to vault/ change directions midair at all, at that point? It's just a tease! And I'm sorry, you SHOULD NOT have to re map your buttons or have a special controller for just ONE weapon! Nor should you have to depend on focus mode to have any type of success while attacking! Not even the ranged weapons need to be used in focus mode at all times, and you'd think that's where it would be needed most, especially for aiming! It honestly seems to me, like the IG was just overall punished for being the way it was in world/borne and rise/break! I've played all the other weapons in the beta, and they've all received upgrades to the point where I was able to jump in and have HELLA fun with weapons I've rarely ever used! IG was the only one that felt like it got downgraded/punished! It's needlessly complicated now, it feels like a chore to use because your entire time is more about collecting extracts than it ever has been, in order to do anything, you still move like molasses after getting all 3, and you STILL don't even get to chain attacks together and combo like you used to (the flow/ dance I was talking about earlier)! Now, having said all this, it's not a HORRIBLE weapon now, just the least out of so many great improvements (even though, I'm not the biggest fan of how savage axe for the CB was changed)! Most of the fun has been sucked out of the IG! And for what, to essentially have to spam a charge move in order to keep collecting buffs so that you can continue to do the charge move??? No thanks! The whole point of this game is to have fun, and I feel like the fun was optimized out of it, at least for the IG! If they're insistent on keeping it like it is, I just may not be playing that weapon in this game!
@LightItUpDan Any other time, I'd wholeheartedly agree with you! (Is why I followed you and enjoy your videos so much) but in this instance, I think it's definitely a "to each his own" type thing! I played on the PS5, and found the IG to be more cumbersome to properly use than it should've been! Having to devote one of the buttons used to attack, to ALSO be responsible for charging a move that you're all but encouraged to spam (instead of leaving the areal bounce alone 😒) is just asinine! And as far as the ground combat goes, it's now clunky and non flowing because of it! And the wyvern dive now being a charge move is FRUSTRATING to try to pull off! Maybe if there were an areal bounce that would allow you time to charge it up while airborne, but no! Maybe if they figured out a better way to charge the glaive and restored the missing ground moves, AND actually sped up the movements especially after getting all 3 extracts, then MAYBE it would feel better! But as it stands right now, it's just meh, ESPECIALLY compared to the glow up of the other weapons!
It doesn't help that a lot of IG's changes have given it more things to hold down while trying to do anything else. I know there's a toggle for Focus Mode on controllers, but when you get really into the weapon, you're having to hold down L2 to keep your Kinsect assisting you, holding heavy attack to charge up DSS, and needing to hold R2, then tap R1 to send out a mark, it becomes rather awkward. The weapon feels more sluggish than World's IG, and the weapon has lost a lot of appeal not only from the lack of aerial mobility, but also in how the Kinsect has become even more simplified. Capcom has simplified the Kinsect system with every game, to the point that we don't even have Kinsect Types any longer. I'm hoping that Element will be selectable with how it was in World, and that the Kinsect's level is separate from the IG. As it is now, the SnS is more mobile than the IG - with extremely similar mounting capabilities.
For HH, the echo bubble allows you to play 3 notes and the focus strike allows for 5 notes. Also, offset melody doesn’t take up one of the 3 melody slots nor is it used during performance. But something I want to add is that you can set up melodies while moving on the sekiret, just that it’s only at walking pace (like all other weapons’ mounted attacks). Though you CAN play performance and encore while mounted! You’d be standing still during those, but regardless, pre-fight buffing is significantly easier, and you can set up melodies while on the way to the monster. Hunting Horn has become an absolute menace, and I’m excited to see if a group of HH users can place up to 12 bubbles, and if they interact!
I've been wondering about that too. I didn't run into any other HH users in the beta. I didn't play it more than maybe 5 hours. I have a feeling the bubbles only effect the person who spawned it. It could be really broken otherwise.
It dealt SO much part damage. You just knew when that thing landed on a leg, it was going to topple the monster. If it landed on a tail, that tail was coming off, and in the most satisfying way too.
My partial to it is the launch because it fills in that quick and constantly attacking feeling i get from SnS. It felt so werid to do a big move, i throw my self away from the monster. Launching into the air for more pressure felt so good.
@@demoniclousine1550 Not gonna lie, I agree with that. That's the ONE downside. You threw yourself just, SO damn far away. But I think a better solution would have been to just reduce that launch distance than change it into the jumping combo move... Or at least make it one of the options. Like, maybe if you hold triangle while doing the stab, it does the OG tear-out instead of the jump for extra part damage...
Wilds gave me the most fun with bow. When I have my tracer on target along with a well placed arc shot going to hailstorm leads to some insane damage. The best part is when your behind a pillar that blocks LOS you can aim upward left or right and they hone in the target without a wasted miss. Side stepping while shooting is an interesting new mechanic as well but hands down dodging enemy attacks RESET YOUR STAMINA is massive. Can't wait to test new builds when the game releases! **Mounting after jumping off the seikret is a little clunky i hope that gets resolved**
Definitely interesting changes, things feel fresh and exciting. Loving Hammer and Hunting Horn. I'm trying other weapons out as well. But I think HH is a lock for my main weapon when hunting with partners. It's just too good. This Beta has me too excited for the main game, I can't wait for the full release! Gonna get stronk so I can bonk and honk monsters right on the conk!
The Charge Blade is EASILY SSS Tier! When you play Charge Blade in Savage Axe Mode, You need to hold down the button to deal even MORE damage is more like Arise than World. In your Element Discharge, you can hold down the button again, and the Follow-up ⭕ button and hold it ( I use a PS4 controller), and the LAST follow-up Element Discharge removes all your vials. It's SUPER SATISFYING! Also while Focus you can move the Final Hit of Element Discharge to land more EASILY when they move around I wish it had a parry. It would been so much BETTER!
One thing tho, I wish they add an option to aim focus mode with L stick when I'm grinding the Savage Axe, just like GS charge. Holding the face button while aiming is almost impossible to do because I only have one right thumb, and claw grip is awkward af. Same case with IG charge attack and some other weapons.
@@heybinsuI totally get that, though I got around issues like that by getting a controller with back buttons. Yes they are usually a bit more expensive but they’re great and allow more flexibility especially if you can program those back buttons. Some will only have 2 back buttons and some have 4, it’s up to personal preference but I use a controller with 4 back buttons and simply have my face buttons on them. And I can still press the face buttons with my thumb like normal, it really allows me to be flexible with how I hold my controller. Plus being able to not have ti take my thumb off my right stick is super useful.
@@ignisgecko4565 I get that but I still don't like that kind of solution. The issue can still be resolved with a simple change on button mapping instead of buying a new controller.
I love looking back at tier lists before weapons have been nerfed or buffed and its safe to say that glaive is now top tier, i heard a beta tester recently say that its now the best insect glaive in the entire series and i couldnt be more excited to use it
Im a diehard CB main and them pivoting away from SAED is pretty sad for me 😢 also the weapon feels a little more clumsy than in world. Like attacks dont flow into eachother as well with micro pauses and stuff (and i hope they fix it but the sound design for the shield hit sounds the same as a normal sword slash i stead of the iconic *clink* sound which is a major bummer). I like that you can now aim your big attacks with focus mode but overall im a bit disappointed with it. Might switch to hunting horn or switchaxe instead.
@LightItUpDan I have played with it more and it turns out I don't hate it as much as I thought I did 🤔 I just hope they make it so you can aim with your left thumb stick while in focus mode so i dont have to claw grip my controller though 😂I think the injury exploit on the weapon looks crazy cool so I'm not too bothered anymore
I said it would be nice in WorldBorne, I said it was needed in RiseBreak, and Wilds has come to answer the call! Hunting Horn has an easy to use counter! Not to mention that you can play notes and even melodies/encores on your Sekiret, making buffing significantly easier!
Something you may have missed regarding Switch Axe is that when you cause an Offset stagger, as your hunter is charging at the staggered monster you can input a Morph input to change to Sword mode for the Offset follow up, dealing more damage.
SnS main. I dont see many people talk about this, but they gutted the skill expression of evading into backhop direction changing. There was a mastery to being able to perfectly time your inputs when rolling to completely change the direction you are facing when back hopping while fighting a monster. I was so bummed when I got my hands on the wilds version. It just feels awful to me.
I think they might have removed it due to having focus mode, which IG is fine, but it's still sad to see gone. The new additions make up for it for me, and I was using the focus mode so much that not being able to dodge into 180 backhop wasn't as needed in that case, but I'm sure other experiences vary
@@songoku6067 I don’t think you’ve understood what was being discussed, or you misread it. the direction swap pivot backstep **felt like** an exploit, and perhaps that’s why they removed it, as it was maybe unintentional
also with IG if u hold the button that launches the kinsect while aiming and it charges the kinsect. releasing it causes it to drill through the monster and can collect all 3 extracts at once.
You forgot lance circle+ triangle combo The guide itself stated: triangle combo is fast but weak, so its good if you want to block in between Circle combo is slower but stronger and has the charged blocking finisher Circle + triangle does the most damage but leaves you open for longer Combos with both super guard and dash attack are also much more fluid and viable but regular combo chains are still better dps wise
As a SnS main I totally agree. I went back and played a little GenU after the Wilds beta, and it's night and day. GenU SnS feels so satisfying compared to Wilds, which feels like a wet noodle.
I don't know if this is a power level tier list but I've come here to spread the gospel of the new Insect Glaive. I know a lot of people, including myself, were taken aback by the removal of the constant jumping.... BUT .... the amount of new abilities and skill they've integrated into the new moveset intricately blend the aerial and ground combat together making you a crazy *_literal_* whirlwind of chaos
I tried to learn Insect Glaive as a new weapon in MHWorld in order to make it my 2nd weapon, ... this weapon is sh!t. The hassle of not being useful unless to send your bug (that btw requires its own upgrades and materials) to collect different colored stuff from different body parts is just ruining the fun. If anyone wants a fast paced weapon then they be better equipping the Dual Blades.
Loving focus mode on greatsword rn but honestly I am worried about the new gs players that never played without focus mode when the next game comes out what are they gonna do because it's gonna get tuned back to the normal gs we are all used to but that's a future problem so shouldn't worry about it to much
I wouldn't quite assume that so hastily; we all thought the gimmicks from MH Generations were a one-time thing. Now we have mechanics similar to Aerial SnS, Valor GS, Adept Bow, Adept Lance, Adept Bow, and Adept Dual Blades core to the game. For all we know the devs will like the free aim so much it goes core too.
@Kojoter as of the beta no, that was one of the skills that took weapons to next level of goofy fun. I'm hoping that in the future dlc they may add in additional moves like in world.
They kept the mounting discharge attack for Switch Axe, but to use it you have to hold down the discharge command while your sword gauge is full. Once you mount, mash the attack button until you blow that beast up
With the charge blade when you have the ax mode powered up, you can double tap and hold the circle button to pizza cutter in the monster with every attack
I love sns in this game. The feeling of getting away with the big dps combo is so much better than just spamming backstep and perfect rush. Don't get me wrong that was fun but this sns feels more in line with 3u or 4u where it's about a constant stream of dps instead of relying on a big burst damage combo.
(Edit: Seems that people have found a better dps combo than this.) But the best dps rotation now is Triangle>Triangle+Circle(Hold)>Repeat. It’s way less interesting. Plus unless you were a speedrunner you were not spamming perfect rush back to back. You would get hit too often without absolutely mastering the monster. SnS in world had many useful moves for different situations. I feel like there’s way less layers with this version of the weapon. You just spam basic attacks. 😔
@Boss-lp9ce yeah honestly i feel the same didn't like sns to begin with but as I played with it more it became my favorite weapon right after CB the perfect rush was just that, perfect it didn't need that launch into the air after the combo hopefully they change it before the release but I doubt it.
@Boss-lp9ce I never really thought of that. The combos I mainly us is just moving around to different hitzones white triangle and then using the circle combo > spinning reaper > charged chop. Is still see where you're coming from. I think the versatility in this game went up but having played more I do wish sns had some better burst damage.
@@goatguy2235 I’m not even asking for ir to be stronger or as strong as in world. It’s just that now you don’t have to find opportunities to use your most powerful attacks. You are constantly using them, they’re regular attacks. Also people already found the most efficient combo, and its Triangle>Charged Chop>Repeat. Not that interesting. But let’s see it on release. Maybe PR has good elemental MVs.
Hey 👋😊 LightItUpDan! Wekcome back to Monster Hunter. Would love to know which weapon you are thinking of maining and starting with??? Which one has caught your eye or is feeling satisfying/rewarding and fun to you? I find myself bouncing back and forth between Gunlance and Bow. Always appreciate your feedback and opinion, and am curious about your weapon choice for Wilds 👍😉
@LightItUpDan I hear you! Swag 😎 axe is looking very good 😊 It was my first main when I started MHW. Great choice 😁👏 Love all your videos and content! Really appreciate 👍 you and all the work you do! Keep it up and thank you!
14:40 you can still latch on but you have to hold down the two attack buttons up close, and another way to go into chainsaw mode with CB is focus strike
SnS takes near mastery of the mobility of the weapon to see peak results. Once you get used to the new sidestep slashes that were introduced in Wilds, it feels more mobile than ever before. You basically don't have to stop combo-ing. I'm very excited to return to SnS on full release.
So, I was an insect glaive main, and there are pros and cons. Seems nice. I can collect essence when attacking, and the new move looks fire. I wish bounce was still there, but I can still suffice IF...the dust from Kinsects is still the same or better. That's a big underrated thing about the Glaive I hope you would mention, and the lack of input on that is concerning. In the world, I like the buffs (which, based on gameplay, seems to still be there, yay) and the healing dust so my tm8s can survive as well as myself, but a lot like the blast dust which I also used to use. If the dust isn't there, then I'll move to another one of my mains, because both Horn and Katana look fire asf
so glad you're one of the few people that like Insect glaive, i was so confused when i saw people complain about cuz the damage is crazy and the buff gathering is so much better now, yes it lost airial, but it gained a literal nuke, i love IG (edit): i understand why people are upset now, but it was always called insect glaive, not a flying glaive, it's okay to feel bad about learning a previous iterations and falling in love with it just for it to change, i understand how y'all feel, but c'mon, weapon isn't bad, yes it does take more skill to use it and yes the controls feel a bit uncomfortable, but in my opinion they took a big step in the right direction, i hope everyone learns to enjoy Insect glaive as it is or moves on to a new weapon, in my eyes it is not a nerf or a bad change, it's just doing what it was supposed to do from the beggining.
I think a lot of the complaints comes from the control scheme on console. Holding circle all the time makes it so you often can't move the camera when you want to, and tagging the moster with R2 + R1 just feels weird for most of us who are used to only having the index finger over the buttons.
@@arielgomes7989 yeah i totally get you, i rely on the clunky lock on and hold circle with the middle of my thumb while the tip of my thumb is pressing triangle, very janky, but i hope capcom does something about the controls
Greatsword turns you into Noor from I Parry Everything. It should have its own SSS tier! Jokes aside, it has a parry, the guard is usable now, and you can turn while charging. So good! Personally, for the first time ever I think I'd take the HBG over the LBG. It had a bad showing in the demo because of not having any levels of Guard Up available and getting wombo combo'd mid-shield stagger by the dog's landslide-like move, I think it'll need at least 1-3 out of 5 points of Guard Up if that's still the scale. Other than that though the kit feels really good to use; It actually has naturally higher range for once, it has a parry if you know certain attacks are coming, perfect blocks allow a really good repositioning tool, and of course the rambo mode is a ton of fun. I see a ton of potential for it.
@@LightItUpDan LBG is fine, I was refering to the HBG. You'd think it would keep up with melee weapons at least. LBG has always been cracked and is no different in wilds. And don't forget the skills in the demo don't do much for ranged weapons.
Real hbg mains aren't scared to be the underdogs this generation 😈 (we'll get some broken combo of ammo and skills, probably cheese that'll carry our hunt times anyway I imagine)
From a Lance main, the lance ain't it. Slower basic combo pokes, slower guard from combo comparing to old counter stance, shorter distance covered by guard dash... Some of the new moves have intersting mechanics(like powerguard dmg conversion & perfectly timed charged counter) individually but all of them are self-contained and already had a place in the old moveset so I don't know why they need to fuck with the flow. New flow feels very much more loose now. There's many meaningless forward movement on the new moves that makes me out position myself which's extremely annoying and either forces me to spend time I can be poking to reposition or to use focus mode to redirection.
At the start of beta I also went to my baby and thought oh no, look what they did to my boy... then I ventured on a journey throughout the weapons to look for a new main, and although GL and SnS were really alluring, the call of the lance was too strong, so I gave it a few more hunts and man did it pay off. Once I got used to the new motions it just clicked and reignited my love for the weapon. It's different, but still has the lance soul. The only thing I would love to add was an offset attack for a wide sweep, other than that it is perfect. Hopefully you will find that love reignited as well. In thrust we trust.
I wasn't feeling the changes as a lance main either. Hated it in the beta. Maybe I'll grow to like it after release, but it's really dulled my excitement for Wilds.
For me the shield on sword and shield has always been pretty solid. Back in world I could comfortable guard Nergigante's full spike dive bomb and take only a small amount of damage.
i dont like new savage axe on charge blade the world one is better imo bc more "realistic" and make more sence to how you use it by making all the swing be in the monster
Ah yes true... because we do have charged blades in real life, therefore the world equivalent is more accurate to the real life counterpart... get out of here lmao.
Wilds is the first time I play a game in the MH, I immediately fall in love and become a Gunlance main, i was skeptical about the shield at first, because I heard that in previous entries, Perfect Guard will still allow some dmg through, however, when I found out Perfect Guard in Wilds completely block the dmg, I was over confident af. When fighting Rey Dau, I continously Perfect Guard its quick lighting shot, when it charges up the big one, I foolishly thought I could just block it. I was proven wrong, although a large amount of dmg was block, about a normal potion worth of my health was gone, combine that with the fact that the big lighting shot make the targeted area deal burn dmg and it's fair to say that I was humbled real quick.
I honestly like this SnS more then the worlds one. After playing Rise who had imho the best itteration of SnS from these 3 games, Going back in to world with the SnS it just felt flat to me empty. Rise still peak i love the jumping after the rush. I loved the ability to remove the shieldbash. Never liked the shieldbash of the SnS always felt clunky. Tho in Wilds shieldbash feels better, love the meaty chargechop the jump attacks in to a shieldbash or the helmbreakerlike move from worlds that you could ONLY Get from the mushroomwalls. But honestly i dont think any of the weapons is B tier. both B's i would put in A And as a lance fan im maybe a bit biased but she deserves a tripple S for me xD
I'm jealous of how fast you adjusted to the new weapon moves. I didn't like the focus attack it felt a little distracting to me. Wished I had more time all the same, maybe there is a chance they do another beta. Hammer felt weird for me, it was my worst transition yet.
@@LightItUpDan Yea that's a totally fair opinion to have even If I disagree. I personally think it might be up there with the MHGU SnS as my favorite iteration of the weapon but I'll have to wait for the full release to know for sure though.
I noticed something playing the bow. Now sometimes when I go to do thousand dragons, rather than having one massive piercing arrow, my hunter would pull out like, a big handful of arrows and it was more like a shotgun burst. I played with it a little but couldn't get it to do it on command. Seemed to be mostly random when I activated thousand dragons, sometimes I'd get the massive pierce arrow, sometimes I'd get the handful of arrows that did big burst. Does anyone know something I don't regarding this?
@funnyPafee oh! So thousand dragons is used as part of a combo and can't be used independently? Thanks! Edit: sorry I just realized you said hold and then fire, so not a combo, just an extra input, thank you.
Seeing a lot of people that say they're confused with why so many hate the glaive changes, in short: Clunky, gotta fight teammates for DPS, shafted movement which is why lots fell in love with it
This exactly, there are bugs with the kingsect, you need tripple buff to get into your better moveset (which is slower than worlds), awkward control scheme, the move doesn't relly feel as flowing as they used to, the charge mechanic its completely unnecesary dor the rising tornado combo, there is a bug when you destroy a wound where it does more damage than it is supposed to, if your teammate breaks it you lost 50% or so of your combo dmg and extract insta gathering. Oh yeah and you are more grounded, no new evasion, , counter, other weapons new moves do more damage I hope they listen and rework it to be honest
@@kozako2253 I was playing with a friend and found that we were able to both focus strike the same wound at the same time, and I was still able to get my extracts from the attack even though my friend got the wound break, so I think it will come down to a bit more coordination instead of competing for damage
Say what you will about the sword and shield, you gotta admit it has the best clash. Holding the monster back with the shield and shanking it with the sword is just so raw!
As a SnS main i think this version of the weapon is very strong and just because its not like worlds doesn't mean people should be so hard on it and its only the beta the whole point is for capcom to get feed back on the game. Plus, when i used it against rey du and the other monsters in the beta, i was doing big damage, so it isn't lacking in that department either
Heres a hint with sword and shield Ending perfect rush with spinning reaper instead of the vault allows you to cleanly transition into charged chop Meaning its an infinite combo now
Thanks for the tier list. I'm new to the game, so some dots are not connecting with me. What is the criteria for this tier list? Is it weapon damage, new player friendliness, improvements to the weapons, or something else?
My tripple S for wild's beta are going to be: Bow, LS, GL, SA, LBG, and IG just because of the armor we have access to. But my list will change on the full release for sure when we can get access to other armors.
and the fact you can bring two weapons really diversify your playstyle, every new moves make all the weapons feel new and the combos are almost infinite. We'll gradually see what the game will centralise on, having only melee weapons, only range or mixed sets, and the "meta" builds
Charge blade is easily SSS and it's because of focus mode. During the wind up of aed, saed and even condensed elemental slash you can use focus mode to turn nearly 180°. Gone are the days of missing an entire saed because the monster took a step to the left. If it's in range it's getting hit.
You forgot LBG follow up shots with circle after firing Leaves you very vulnerable and its debatable if its worth on regular mode But on rapid fire mode it can be chained with sidestep shooting and the final shot hits much harder (in addition to rapid firing) In normal mode its supposed to charge your gauge faster but again not sure if its worth
I really liked the switch axe but i had trouble figuring out the combos. So far my main GS since the first MH just feels really good might end up just using that
@LightItUpDan It looks cool, but I don't want to land after. Or ever be on the ground in the first place. I literally ONLY played Insect Glaive to spam aerial mode, refusing to even slash on the ground. It was the only thing I ever liked about the weapon, so this one's off my list, but hunting horn is only rising on my priorities.
@@felixramirez4402 So we're gatekeeping what people are allowed to consider fun now are we? There's no wrong way to play a game, unless you're some insane elitist meta chaser.
So in the weapon notes it says when your sword is fully in amped mode you can still ZSD and climb on the monster. It says it right in the weapon guide in game. Not sure how no one has figured it out yet.
Lots have figured it out, look at the comments haha. What I didn’t see was weapon notes in game at all, didn’t realise they’d added them in for the beta!
@ the hilarious part is that I couldn’t get it to work either lol. I’m hoping there is a way to get the IG to bounce again too and that we haven’t figured it out like you have to hit a button to launch again or something
As an insect glaive main for so many years I feel really sad. I loved the weapon's aerial insanity, reminded me of ff dragoon. Honest to god this weapon was the reason I loved the last two mh games, now it just isn't the same.
Sns feels it can compete with dual blades better and will be good overall due to more multi hits Due to focus strikes and breaking wounds being limited to part breaks, I feel element will be super good again and SNS having a lot of mulit hit options now feels like it could be super strong again
The main problem with the Gunlance from MH:World was that the shots had a weak damage ramp-up compared to physical damage, making it one of the weakest weapons in the game. I don't know if the Gunlance will be able to deal good damage in the mid and late game here.
Yall sleeping in the sns, we can infinite attack form a combo string perfect guard, charged chop into everything and PR I’d still good with many mounting options. Apart from that can’t switch axe is my main weapon.
@@LightItUpDan Tier list without any other disclaimer means "best" not "most fun". Would be best to make that distinction quite clear in the video if that is what you are going for.
As a hbg main, I would have to agree with this list. I love the hbg but the changes they have made seem to have passed over the heavy bow gun. They claimed heavy bowgun, hunting horn, and bow were weapons everyone considered support weapons and they wanted to change that. Hunter horn and bow both look busted as hell, but the heavy bowgun just doesn't feel any different from world. I'm an evasive hbg player not a blocker so I'm not gonna use its new blocking stuff anyway and the focus fire feels way slower than the lbg. Light bowgun feels so much better of a bowgun in comparison. I know we didn't have access to do anything with the bowguns really as far as modifying them (which is a must for the hbg) but with what they gave us in the beta, I would have to agree, the hbg just didn't feel as good to play.
5:34 I noticed the SnS heavy block animation is slightly changed too... so rather than the World where the character lifts the shield and looks visibly knocked back heavily then puts the shield in front of the char, here the character drops (or more like pull?) down the shield, which actually looks really cool
Yes, it slipped my mind when recording the dialogue, which happens with long videos containing lots of info. It’s a trivial detail, as it’s very obvious a focus strike on a wound activates power axe. Certainly not a “huge miss” by any stretch
Judging from the footage you completely disregarded the SnS biggest improvement. The addition of Sliding Slash into the moveset. I too was dissppointed with SnS as a main of the weapon. Until I really used all the tools available and Sliding Slash is the Star of the show and ties the whole weapon together, elevating it to new heights. It deals about the same damage as a Spinning Reaper can be used whenever in your combo and repositions you with a 360° aimable Slash. It really is that good
@LightItUpDan Except Advancing Slash, which I assume you meant, can only be done out of neutral. You use Sliding Slash in place of a roll to avoid an attack mid combo and stay on the offensive
@@VileDullahan Sliding Swipe, which I assume you meant ☝🤓 (jk) does seem great, I didn't implement it much during my time on the beta admittedly! It does hit **really** hard, you're right
So I'm coming in a bit late but I don't agree with the statement at 11:46 : "Like with all of the weapons in Wilds it got that fantastic fluidity to it. Everything feels so connected and so dynamic." With all my respect, that's the entirely opposite I kept feeling so far in the beta... It's not fluid at all, you got input conflicts in a lot of areas and some usually bufferable moves are just gone which makes no sense unless your goal as a dev is to nerf mobility. Which they did in case of Lance where this as been said. In my opinion, when talking about Lance, it's one of the clunkiest (not weak) weapons so far. It's just not as fun as it should be or used to be.
I disagree on the IG. It seems nice after a short while but charging attack will not be fun for long. The automated attacks where no skill is needed and the way to short, simple and slow combos will render it a noob weapon. The only good thing about it is wound popping. But that is required and you can't do much else with it. Buff collection is easier now but you'll have to do it all the time and it will become even more annoying. Those times during a fight where you see an opening to attack but you can't use it because you'll need to collect buffs will make the weapon a pain. But it was a beta. Let's see how it ends up at launch. ✌

By the Switch Axe while in the Amp stat need to hold Triangle and Circle to get attached on the monster part and nice feature, u can aim it while in focus move for a nice 90° turn (idk if u can turn 180°)
You get a like for putting Swag Axe in SSS.
How was the Rey Dau fight for you? It was 50/50 for me mainly because of the aggro felt off.
@@joncallando3285 I loved it!
SA: Zero Sum is still in the game.. but you need to hold Y and B to latch onto the monster.
The year of the Gunlance has come! Rejoice boomstick mains!
Between gunlance and bow ill be eating good in full release
And I thought Rise was the era of the Gunlance. Wilds Gunlance is just a crazed lunatic shooting anything that moves and I'm HERE FOR IT
time for freedom!
Gl going crazy

You can still perform the zero sum discharge by holding the inputs for elemental discharge
awesome, thanks for letting me know
I miss the beta so much already.. Feb 28th can’t get here any sooner!
hoping for another demo before release!
(I was freaking out they took it away from us for a minute)
oh nice! I'll have to give it a try, cheers for that
Hopped in beta , played an entire day of gunlance , beta ended , went back and installed MHW again , crafted a gunlance , its just not the same.....I see so many issues with the weapon that were mostly fixed with Wilds. Waiting untill Feb 28th is one of the hardest things I had to do this whole year
I'm huffing copium for another demo haha
Played both dual blade and long sword when i started worlds. But the weapon that got me through the game was the hammer.
very cool, all dope ass weapons
I love it!
But as it stands right now, it's just meh, ESPECIALLY compared to the glow up of the other weapons!
greatsword having offset attack and power clash automatically makes it my favorite
totally get why, it's kitted out nicely here
I'm actually having the most fun with IG. It's slow now because the kinsect is trash but I like the concept they are going for.
It'll definitely improve once we get faster kindects, but i do agree it felt a bit slow for some kinsect based attacks
I love the new loop for it with the finisher, SO dope
IG is always weak in early game till you get the better insects imo
I never tested the moves you can do ON Seikret with HH, that’s absolutely wild haha
I'm glad I'm not the only one who liked World's version of Perfect Rush better. It just felt so much more vicious with that tear-out move.
Didn’t it just?! 🤝
Sns was better in world overall looks really bad in wilds
Wilds gave me the most fun with bow. When I have my tracer on target along with a well placed arc shot going to hailstorm leads to some insane damage. The best part is when your behind a pillar that blocks LOS you can aim upward left or right and they hone in the target without a wasted miss. Side stepping while shooting is an interesting new mechanic as well but hands down dodging enemy attacks RESET YOUR STAMINA is massive. Can't wait to test new builds when the game releases! **Mounting after jumping off the seikret is a little clunky i hope that gets resolved**
Bow is NUTS in Wilds haha
As a dragons dogma fan, it was clear to me they got some of the people who made that to give input to the bow in wilds, it looks great fun
Hunting Horn is absolutely UNREAL in Wilds!
Also while Focus you can move the Final Hit of Element Discharge to land more EASILY when they move around
I wish it had a parry. It would been so much BETTER!
Nice!
@@heybinsuCan hold r2 or w/e is guard button also 👍
I love looking back at tier lists before weapons have been nerfed or buffed and its safe to say that glaive is now top tier, i heard a beta tester recently say that its now the best insect glaive in the entire series and i couldnt be more excited to use it
Im a diehard CB main and them pivoting away from SAED is pretty sad for me 😢 also the weapon feels a little more clumsy than in world.
I feel you, I really like the switch up to elemental discharge combos personally!
Charge blade beak was in 4U my man, absolute devastating strength
@@miguelcarneiro8074 oooo I haven't played the older monhun games myself, this could be the perfect opportunity. Thanks for the shout!
I switched to bow, had more fun. It's a shame because I absolutely loved the CHB on release of World, but they've slowly gutted what I loved about it.
I said it would be nice in WorldBorne, I said it was needed in RiseBreak, and Wilds has come to answer the call!
Hunting Horn has an easy to use counter!
Not to mention that you can play notes and even melodies/encores on your Sekiret, making buffing significantly easier!
Oh wow I didn’t even try to play it on Seikret, that’s insane haha
Something you may have missed regarding Switch Axe is that when you cause an Offset stagger, as your hunter is charging at the staggered monster you can input a Morph input to change to Sword mode for the Offset follow up, dealing more damage.
nice nice
Does the list change based on solo or group? What would you say the top 3 weapons are for solo?
Nah doesn’t change
There was, but it also felt like an exploit to me honestly. I think moving all pivoting into sidesteps and focus mode aiming makes a lot more sense
I think they might have removed it due to having focus mode, which IG is fine, but it's still sad to see gone.
The new additions make up for it for me, and I was using the focus mode so much that not being able to dodge into 180 backhop wasn't as needed in that case, but I'm sure other experiences vary
@@LightItUpDannowhere close to an exploit.. an exploit is usually smth that gives u an unfair advantage over other weapons which the backhop did not
@@songoku6067 I don’t think you’ve understood what was being discussed, or you misread it. the direction swap pivot backstep **felt like** an exploit, and perhaps that’s why they removed it, as it was maybe unintentional
@@LightItUpDan i did understand, i spent several hours practicing that technique and i stil stand by that it was not an exploit
also with IG if u hold the button that launches the kinsect while aiming and it charges the kinsect. releasing it causes it to drill through the monster and can collect all 3 extracts at once.
you're kidding?! that sounds amazing haha 🤯
When it does not bug out and your kingsect goes upwards and doesn't grab anything :( (this is a well known beta bug)
You forgot lance circle+ triangle combo
The guide itself stated: triangle combo is fast but weak, so its good if you want to block in between
Circle combo is slower but stronger and has the charged blocking finisher
Circle + triangle does the most damage but leaves you open for longer
Combos with both super guard and dash attack are also much more fluid and viable but regular combo chains are still better dps wise
As a SnS main I totally agree. I went back and played a little GenU after the Wilds beta, and it's night and day. GenU SnS feels so satisfying compared to Wilds, which feels like a wet noodle.
just feels a bit bland to me here! it might grow on me on release
I don't know if this is a power level tier list but I've come here to spread the gospel of the new Insect Glaive.
I know a lot of people, including myself, were taken aback by the removal of the constant jumping.... BUT .... the amount of new abilities and skill they've integrated into the new moveset intricately blend the aerial and ground combat together making you a crazy *_literal_* whirlwind of chaos
mixture of power, utility, ease of use, and fun! the rankings truly are arbitrary, I wouldn't take it seriously haha
Always gotta ride for you main
I've been a glaive main until now so no hate, but the weapon just feels clunky rn
I'm joining the Insect Glaive gospel
I tried to learn Insect Glaive as a new weapon in MHWorld in order to make it my 2nd weapon, ... this weapon is sh!t.
The hassle of not being useful unless to send your bug (that btw requires its own upgrades and materials) to collect different colored stuff from different body parts is just ruining the fun.
If anyone wants a fast paced weapon then they be better equipping the Dual Blades.
Yeaaah baby Bow, loved it, had daggers as 2nd but never gonna use them, just a place holder. Bow Only and Main!
nice! did you try LS or HH?
I cant wait to play with HH on release. I had a blast during the test with the new rift things.
so much honking was done
@battlecarrier valid
one game at a time, bud haha
We don't even have wilds released and you are worried about the next monster hunter game that won't be even announced after 6 years from now 😂
If that happens then I stop using GS again.
I hope the Gunlance can still use the Rocket Dash like it could in Rise
@Kojoter as of the beta no, that was one of the skills that took weapons to next level of goofy fun. I'm hoping that in the future dlc they may add in additional moves like in world.
nah it can’t
As a Hunting Horn main, I’m very satisfied by Wild’s Hunting Horn, DOOT DOOT
you and me both!
I ALREADY HAVE 11 HOURS IN THE BETA-
IM IN TOO DEEP!!!
TRY 14. DONT ASK WHY

@@LightItUpDan AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BUT I STILL NEED ALL GOLD CROWNS IN WORLD
They kept the mounting discharge attack for Switch Axe, but to use it you have to hold down the discharge command while your sword gauge is full. Once you mount, mash the attack button until you blow that beast up
Yeah I tried it after others suggested it!
With the charge blade when you have the ax mode powered up, you can double tap and hold the circle button to pizza cutter in the monster with every attack
Just hold the button, no need to double tap.
yeah! I had loads of PC footage for it, but sadly it seems like it's all unusable 😭
I love sns in this game. The feeling of getting away with the big dps combo is so much better than just spamming backstep and perfect rush. Don't get me wrong that was fun but this sns feels more in line with 3u or 4u where it's about a constant stream of dps instead of relying on a big burst damage combo.
(Edit: Seems that people have found a better dps combo than this.)
But the best dps rotation now is Triangle>Triangle+Circle(Hold)>Repeat.
fair enough, it feels pretty stale to me
@Boss-lp9ce yeah honestly i feel the same didn't like sns to begin with but as I played with it more it became my favorite weapon right after CB the perfect rush was just that, perfect it didn't need that launch into the air after the combo hopefully they change it before the release but I doubt it.
Always appreciate your feedback and opinion, and am curious about your weapon choice for Wilds 👍😉
everything's looking and feeling wonderful, but Hunting Horn and Switch Axe are certainly standing out for me!
@LightItUpDan I hear you! Swag 😎 axe is looking very good 😊 It was my first main when I started MHW. Great choice 😁👏 Love all your videos and content! Really appreciate 👍 you and all the work you do! Keep it up and thank you!
The charge blade also lets you go into savage axe mode by using the focus mode attack, but it has to hit one of the glowing red weak points.
that's right yeah!
14:40 you can still latch on but you have to hold down the two attack buttons up close, and another way to go into chainsaw mode with CB is focus strike
Cheers bud
SnS takes near mastery of the mobility of the weapon to see peak results. Once you get used to the new sidestep slashes that were introduced in Wilds, it feels more mobile than ever before. You basically don't have to stop combo-ing. I'm very excited to return to SnS on full release.
I’m looking forward to playing and hopefully enjoying it more
So, I was an insect glaive main, and there are pros and cons.
Dust is there still
so glad you're one of the few people that like Insect glaive, i was so confused when i saw people complain about cuz the damage is crazy and the buff gathering is so much better now, yes it lost airial, but it gained a literal nuke, i love IG
(edit): i understand why people are upset now, but it was always called insect glaive, not a flying glaive, it's okay to feel bad about learning a previous iterations and falling in love with it just for it to change, i understand how y'all feel, but c'mon, weapon isn't bad, yes it does take more skill to use it and yes the controls feel a bit uncomfortable, but in my opinion they took a big step in the right direction, i hope everyone learns to enjoy Insect glaive as it is or moves on to a new weapon, in my eyes it is not a nerf or a bad change, it's just doing what it was supposed to do from the beggining.
it’s so much fun and insanely strong haha
Is that really the reason why people don't like it? Cause it's not in the air as much?
@@ExSoldier101 yeah 😅
I think a lot of the complaints comes from the control scheme on console. Holding circle all the time makes it so you often can't move the camera when you want to, and tagging the moster with R2 + R1 just feels weird for most of us who are used to only having the index finger over the buttons.
@@arielgomes7989 yeah i totally get you, i rely on the clunky lock on and hold circle with the middle of my thumb while the tip of my thumb is pressing triangle, very janky, but i hope capcom does something about the controls
As a flying Insect Glaive main, I don't like how they force the weapon to be grounded like the rest. No more aerial freedom.
it still has strong aerial functionality, just not the bouncing
Damage isn't there though.
oh really? I thought LBG was kinda cracked here
@@LightItUpDan LBG is fine, I was refering to the HBG.
I think you convinced me to try this Switch Axe this game
I'm enjoying it so much!
There's many meaningless forward movement on the new moves that makes me out position myself which's extremely annoying and either forces me to spend time I can be poking to reposition or to use focus mode to redirection.
that's fair enough, it's one of my core weapons and I absolutely love the changes!
@TinkyTheCat try other weapon too my brother. Greatsword have a better offset counter than Lance 😂
Use focus mode like you should be at all times and the lance movement will work better for you.
For me the shield on sword and shield has always been pretty solid. Back in world I could comfortable guard Nergigante's full spike dive bomb and take only a small amount of damage.
Getting into it was very clunky unless you premeditated the block in advance, you know?
Never played MH before but I’ll be picking this game up for sure!! Bow looks so freaking fun.. can’t wait to play 🔥
you're in for a treat! lots of time to pick up World+Iceborne before hand and dive into that!
So happy that my 3 favorite weapons are doing so good. (Swaxe, horn, and funlance)
Yeah they're eating good!
For the switch axe you have to press the button again to latch on it’s fun
hold it down I believe!
ZSD you need to hold both attack buttons (Y and B or triangle and circle) to attach on the monster.
gotcha, cheers!
i dont like new savage axe on charge blade the world one is better imo bc more "realistic" and make more sence to how you use it by making all the swing be in the monster
Fair enough
Ah yes true... because we do have charged blades in real life, therefore the world equivalent is more accurate to the real life counterpart... get out of here lmao.
Is there gonna be the impact echo waves from iceborne on the hunting horn?
For switchaxe, it's still there, you have to hold the buttons now to latch on
Cheers yeah, others have let me know already
Awesome, welcome to MH!
HBG in B tier!? You bad bad man😂
Love the content though👍
Appreciate you! 😆
But honestly i dont think any of the weapons is B tier. both B's i would put in A
And as a lance fan im maybe a bit biased but she deserves a tripple S for me xD
very cool! yeah honestly, the ratings are totally arbitrary haha, everything should be SSS or S, but that'd be a bit of boring list lol
I'm jealous of how fast you adjusted to the new weapon moves. I didn't like the focus attack it felt a little distracting to me. Wished I had more time all the same, maybe there is a chance they do another beta. Hammer felt weird for me, it was my worst transition yet.
I'm always happy for fresh and new approaches, change between game entries is something I welcome!
HH is so fun to play now, i only miss the spin attack 😢 they should bring it back
yeah it's the best! do miss my spin haha
I'm surprised at how many people seem to be relatively down on how SnS felt during the beta. Was one of the most fun weapons in the beta for me.
I did enjoy it, but compared to the others AND compared to World SnS, it felt bland to me unfortunately
@@LightItUpDan Yea that's a totally fair opinion to have even If I disagree. I personally think it might be up there with the MHGU SnS as my favorite iteration of the weapon but I'll have to wait for the full release to know for sure though.
@@ZeroHayabusa nice nice! we also have to remember that we've barely scratched the surface with skill loadouts and stuff too
I’ve only ever used GS and HBG, and Gunlance looks pretty fire so I’ll probably go with that
Everything’s awesome, try them all out and see what you like
Im so excited about the lbg changes! Lbg mains are gunna be eating!
it absolutely wrecks haha
Thanks I had no clue how i was triggering sometimes the really powerfull lance charge attacks.
Tyvm for this information!
you're welcome!
As a Switch Axe main, my time has come to achieve greatness!
Let’s go!
Dragonpiercer is used as usual triangle + circle
1000 Dragons hold your Shoot button first and then do dragonpiercer
@funnyPafee oh! So thousand dragons is used as part of a combo and can't be used independently? Thanks!
Edit: sorry I just realized you said hold and then fire, so not a combo, just an extra input, thank you.
Seeing a lot of people that say they're confused with why so many hate the glaive changes, in short:
Clunky, gotta fight teammates for DPS, shafted movement which is why lots fell in love with it
I love the changes personally
Fight teammates for DPS?
@@anphoneron wounds are quite important for the insect glaives gameplay loop
Truuue although GL clash is pretty dope haha
As a SnS main i think this version of the weapon is very strong and just because its not like worlds doesn't mean people should be so hard on it and its only the beta the whole point is for capcom to get feed back on the game. Plus, when i used it against rey du and the other monsters in the beta, i was doing big damage, so it isn't lacking in that department either
I just didn't enjoy it as much!
Heres a hint with sword and shield
Ending perfect rush with spinning reaper instead of the vault allows you to cleanly transition into charged chop
Meaning its an infinite combo now
I just find it incredibly boring that every combo ends with charged chop now.
Yeah I started doing that myself
3:48 Min.: I wasnt realy hyped for Wilds... TY... Now i be and now im Kinda think i preorder it at steam xD
13:54 Min.: My 3 Favorit Weapons are Longsword, Gunlance and Hunting Horn.
Looks like a great time is coming at the horizon :3
haha let's goooo!
Thanks for the tier list. I'm new to the game, so some dots are not connecting with me. What is the criteria for this tier list? Is it weapon damage, new player friendliness, improvements to the weapons, or something else?
all of the above and fun!
My tripple S for wild's beta are going to be: Bow, LS, GL, SA, LBG, and IG just because of the armor we have access to. But my list will change on the full release for sure when we can get access to other armors.
ooooh nice!
14:35 Zero Sum Discharge is still there, you just have to hold the /\ & O buttons.
Cheers yeah, others have answered this in the comments already
and the fact you can bring two weapons really diversify your playstyle, every new moves make all the weapons feel new and the combos are almost infinite. We'll gradually see what the game will centralise on, having only melee weapons, only range or mixed sets, and the "meta" builds
definitely! will be really cool to bring a higher risk and better survivability combo along
Charge blade is easily SSS and it's because of focus mode.
During the wind up of aed, saed and even condensed elemental slash you can use focus mode to turn nearly 180°. Gone are the days of missing an entire saed because the monster took a step to the left. If it's in range it's getting hit.
Focus Mode does change it up drastically!
You forgot LBG follow up shots with circle after firing
Leaves you very vulnerable and its debatable if its worth on regular mode
But on rapid fire mode it can be chained with sidestep shooting and the final shot hits much harder (in addition to rapid firing)
In normal mode its supposed to charge your gauge faster but again not sure if its worth
I really liked the switch axe but i had trouble figuring out the combos. So far my main GS since the first MH just feels really good might end up just using that
GS feels really nicely balanced yeah!
Insect glaive just looks like a lamer version of longsword. Aerial glaive was the only reason I even touched the weapon before.
the new rising slash finisher loop is insanely fun
@LightItUpDan It looks cool, but I don't want to land after. Or ever be on the ground in the first place. I literally ONLY played Insect Glaive to spam aerial mode, refusing to even slash on the ground. It was the only thing I ever liked about the weapon, so this one's off my list, but hunting horn is only rising on my priorities.
@@felixramirez4402 So we're gatekeeping what people are allowed to consider fun now are we? There's no wrong way to play a game, unless you're some insane elitist meta chaser.
I'm a CB main, but man the switch axe looks badass
it's sick, I had a blast with it
Im an Insect Glaive main from World and Rise. I do miss the aerial bounce on it. I tried bow though in the beta and enjoying it
I hear you. Oh nice!
Your vid made me buy the game
Nice!
As an insect glaive main for so many years I feel really sad. I loved the weapon's aerial insanity, reminded me of ff dragoon. Honest to god this weapon was the reason I loved the last two mh games, now it just isn't the same.
that's a shame! it still has a strong aerial component
POGGERS DUDE just what i wanted, a level 1 no gear tier list
Couldn’t have said it better myself
Mad heavy bow gun player located.... calm down little guy it's a personal opinion piece on which move sets he likes best.
can't tell if this is a jab or not, but Imma assume you're being authentic haha
@@ryvan3870 its low effort slop
@@MattylightED So is your life man
Sns feels it can compete with dual blades better and will be good overall due to more multi hits
Due to focus strikes and breaking wounds being limited to part breaks, I feel element will be super good again and SNS having a lot of mulit hit options now feels like it could be super strong again
elemental is going to be really interesting to explore further!
One of the goats 🐐
who, me? 😳
The main problem with the Gunlance from MH:World was that the shots had a weak damage ramp-up compared to physical damage, making it one of the weakest weapons in the game. I don't know if the Gunlance will be able to deal good damage in the mid and late game here.
We’ll have to see!
@@LightItUpDan Yes, I hope Gunlance will become one of the best weapons.
I used most weapons to solo Rey Dau. But GS which is my main and CB is looking pretty solid.
nice, I didn't really have the time for that myself, just the couple I recorded and put on the channel
The Bonk is stronk. Fellow Bonkers assemble!
bonking hours
hated the new charge blade discharge changes, the new combo adding an extra attack before the discharge feels bad
fair enough, I really dig the changes
Yall sleeping in the sns, we can infinite attack form a combo string perfect guard, charged chop into everything and PR I’d still good with many mounting options.
Apart from that can’t switch axe is my main weapon.
it’s strong and the sustained damage is really nice, I think I just need to play it some more
Why u place hbg at B tier when current fastest rey dau solo clear is a ps5 user using hbg at 4:21?
because I didn't enjoy as much as the others? that's how tier lists work lol
@@LightItUpDan Tier list without any other disclaimer means "best" not "most fun". Would be best to make that distinction quite clear in the video if that is what you are going for.
@@PowerSenpai Nah I'm good with it as is! The commentary is very clear to those with even a little bit of critical thinking
@@PowerSenpai Nah, a personal Tier List always means "i like this more than that"
As a hbg main, I would have to agree with this list.
5:34 I noticed the SnS heavy block animation is slightly changed too... so rather than the World where the character lifts the shield and looks visibly knocked back heavily then puts the shield in front of the char, here the character drops (or more like pull?) down the shield, which actually looks really cool
very dope!
Cb power axe also activated with focus strikes. Huge miss there dan
Yes, it slipped my mind when recording the dialogue, which happens with long videos containing lots of info. It’s a trivial detail, as it’s very obvious a focus strike on a wound activates power axe. Certainly not a “huge miss” by any stretch
@LightItUpDan fair point
It really is that good
I’ve used sliding slash plenty, it’s slow and time consuming, and I’d rather use rising slash 99% of instances in its place
It does hit **really** hard, you're right
SnS being so mobile and perfect block make it so great though
HBG is an absolute monster
you ain't wrong
So I'm coming in a bit late but I don't agree with the statement at 11:46 :
"Like with all of the weapons in Wilds it got that fantastic fluidity to it. Everything feels so connected and so dynamic."
With all my respect, that's the entirely opposite I kept feeling so far in the beta...
We'll have to agree to disagree!
@@LightItUpDan Of course ! Makes sense. :3
10:09 sounds like a good smoke 👌
Bro if you hold down the button on charge blade then in savage axs Mode all attacks will do chain saw damage
yeah!
Pretty accurate tier list, I wouldn't change a single thing.
oh wow, we're super aligned!
I'd near flip it entirely around 😅
@@frenchbloo oh yeah?
I disagree on the IG. It seems nice after a short while but charging attack will not be fun for long. The automated attacks where no skill is needed and the way to short, simple and slow combos will render it a noob weapon. The only good thing about it is wound popping. But that is required and you can't do much else with it.
Buff collection is easier now but you'll have to do it all the time and it will become even more annoying. Those times during a fight where you see an opening to attack but you can't use it because you'll need to collect buffs will make the weapon a pain.
But it was a beta. Let's see how it ends up at launch. ✌
Valid and fair criticisms of it, let’s see if they rebalance it at all
Never used hammer before but big bonky boy is my new favorite thing ever
hammer is MAD fun haha
