Hello everyone! Andressa Maia here!
I've made this video to help you with the pronunciation of the letter R in brazilian portuguese!
I hope you like it!
;)
This video is very helpful to learn the pronunciation of letter R ..... finally I learnt
+Sumit Srivastava Oh, it's really good to hear that!! I feel happy that it helped you!!! Thanks for your comment!
It must be very difficult for you to pronounce the R ... I'm Brazilian
Fantastic video! Thank you for all your hard work making these videos and sharing with us. I was familiar with the letter R from the Gracie family from Brazil. You probably know about Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Most of their names start with R. Royce, Rickson, Rener, Rorian... So I learned that the letter R was pronounced like the letter H in English. But with this video, I'm learning how the letter R is pronounced in other situations. Obrigado Andressa.
I'm so glad you like it! Pronunciation can be confusing sometimes, I recommend you the video about how to pronounce the letter S, it's very useful! :)
Falando Nisso - Yes, it does get confusing. I did check out your video with the letter S. That video is very helpful too. You have a great way of teaching the language. Keep up the great work. You're awesome!
Yes I understand Thanks a lot for teaching this
Obrigado pela ajuda

Muito obrigado. Eu gostei.
I really like the way you teach and express yourself!!! Great Job❤

hi, i am from India, and just i started the Portuguese, your this video is very helpful for learners.
I have been pronouncing it wrong the whole time. Thanks a lot for clearing things up. I was used to Spanish and this is quite different :)
muito obrigada!!!! 😊
De nada! :)
OBRIGADA!!! Finally I understand!
yaaaay!!! I'm glad it helped you!
Muito obrigado recién eu estoy aprendiendo 😊😊🐒
Thanks madam
Thank you so much! I wonder how “r”before a final vowel sounds in Bahia?
thanks dude. you are freaking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
A BIG THANK YOU! !!!! 😊
The rolled r is sooo hard for me. The other is easy for me (native hebrew)
😂
This helped me understand why my bro-in laws family calls me (H)euben instead of (RRRR)euben. I’m Puerto Rican so I can understand the throat R we kinda do the same on some words. Obrigado 🙏🏼👍🏼
Hahahaha yeah, "R" in the beginning sounds like the english "H" for us! :)
I'm glad you like it!
Awesome! Thank you! At 6:55 you said " po - sa - be - lets". You're missing the last syllable (very common mistake) po - sa - be - le - tiiiiis
Thank you!!!! You know, I've improved a lot my English since I've started this channel! It's amazing to have the chance to be corrected by native speakers, very helpful! :)
You're English is exxcellent
My Grandson’s name is “Rickson”
We now call Him
“HICKSON “
How about names.? Like Ryron Gracie.?
Depends on who is pronouncing the name! haha
What about the R in Rio De Janeiro? Why isn't that an "h" sound?
Actually it is an "H" sound! Rio is pronounced as "heeo".
I do not understand why Brazilian teachers say R in Portugese is like the H in house. In house the H is more open and soft at the back of the throat. In the Brazilian R the throat is more closed and aspirated (very slightly gutteral)
You may have a point. Probably all Brazilians have been learning English wrongly then, because I pronounce house exactly the same way I pronounce rato, rua, rio and so on, that's why I use this comparison.
Would you please teach me how to speak English? That would solve all my problems.... LOL
It won't work, you just wrote in another video that my English is not fluent and I need elocution lessons... but I hope I can help with Portuguese though.
hahahahahaha
brasileiro assistindo para aprender a falar o "R'. JAJAJAJA
Gostamos de ver isso não sei porquê kkkkkkkkk
Aprender inglês é muito pior. Bem mais difícil.
Nunca
Inglês é muito mais fácil que português
