I am creating my own HDRIs with my entry level 360 camera Ricoh Theta SC2 at the field while recording videos for customers. It helps so much for lighting and reflections (it is exactly the same environment at the end :D) and my photorealism level dramatically levelled up! Totally worth investing a little money for professionals around.
Yeah ofc! On some shoots I actually rent 360 camera for the same thing and it works wonders. This video is just for those that don't have those options and want to try to match lighting as much as they can
Jacob, can you kindly share the CGI plane render, so I can practice compositing using it and follow your previous live steps in Nuke?, Thanks for everything as usual
Jacob hi, I want to make large pronects myself, for example minute-long videos completely in 3D, how long do you think this will take and what exactly do I need to learn, look for information or lessons myself?
okay am I losing my mind why is your HDRI different "Hamburg_hbf" I have the Poly Haven addon paid version, And I downloaded the hdri off the site and still it is not the same HDRI that you are using why would you make us think that it is? In addition why wouldn't you think that somebody would follow you and feel confused?, Like I know this is a free video but this actually makes me nervous to join your Patreon.
Hello! I'm a little confused on what you're accusing me of? I just checked the HDRI off of polyhaven again and for me Hamburg_hbf is the same one I used in the video. I am not trying to mislead my audience and I don't want to give the false impression that my video isn't what is shown on the screen. I've linked to the exact HDRI I used in the description to avoid confusion even though this tutorial isn't meant to be followed exactly.
@@Jacob_Zirkle Sorry I can admit when I'm wrong, you're using an image and it is not the HDRI that is the in the viewport, I got confused and seems I didn't pay attention to when you switched over to the image That is projecting a different texture floor and background from the HDRI
