The latest generation BMW X5 is here and its packed with luxury and technology features! Fortunately the kidney grilles on the X5 have not reached the absurd size they have on the X7 and 7 series. This is a fully loaded xDrive50i model, and it is absolutely the best luxury SUV for under $100k. The interior, technology and driving experience of this new X5 are what the rest of the industry should view as the benchmark. I cannot wait to try out the full X5M when it comes out! I loved driving this new 2019 BMW X5!

The X5 has come a long way. Once owned the X5 4.8 sport Package in 2010 and it was a gas guzzler due to it being NA. The X5 4.8 was faster than a lot of cars on the road than and continues to be a competitor. Other than the efficiency, it was an all around performer for an SAV. One of the best I have ever driven or owned. The new X5 with its turbo charged 4.4 is 10 times better and more efficient. This was something I never thought was possible but they proved me wrong. If owning another SAV down the road is in my future, the new X5 is first consideration. Well done review.

I think it looks nice, but I think I prefer the exterior of the previous F15 generation
ThreeSidedTriangle I would say the same thing but trust me when you see it in person it’s a lot nicer looking. Looks bigger, but the F15 is the meanest looking which I love.

Good video. Love our X5 G05. Drove everything else in it's class and close to it and found this "SAV" (roll eyes) to be the best value overall. It's pricey but they all are. Did like the Velar styling but not knowing if the company can stay afloat and the over-reliance on the digital displays made that a deal killer for us. The new Mercedes ... more tech-less engine was loser proposition too. BMW did a nice job with this X5.
The interior looks amazing but for some reason the last generation X5 looks more attractive on the outside to me just my personal thought

Yeah not a fan of this generation X5, almost looks like a Korean car from the outside. I’m betting the half gen model will come quickly with an exterior facelift instead of interior facelift this time.

I had the 19 x5 50i m sport, sold it and bought a 2020 m50, sold that….currently kept my 2020 rover sport autobiography but the x5 was an amazing suv! Would deff get another one. Would be concerned about the transfercase/differential issues, my m850, m50 x5 and 2020 750 all had diff problems, 8k repairs! Everything else is amazing!
Ithere is a cool function, i don't know if the model you have driven is equipped with, the reverse assistant for the last 50 meters. It is absolutely amazing and necessary for the relatively big new x 5 ( 2 meters wide and almost 5meters long) . Also the directional rear wheels
Standard on every model I believe :) The bade spec is excellent.

Very nice car, you can get a nicly optioned one for around $70,000. No reason to pay so much more for the V8.

I think this is not the original package and you may did some extras like suspension a little bit down side. But this looks amazing and beautiful high quality car. I wonder if i can get one of this for life. 🤓😒⚙️
Oh yea forgot, rear seat does not recline! :/ it’s too straight up! Wish they added a handle to recline a bit.
I'll be in the market for a nicely optioned X5 when it's available as a CPO in 3 years for about $40K. ☺️

It's some sort of federal requirement for America. It sucks. The i8 and R8 laser lights have them too

Oh yea, cooled and heated seats with massage I tried it out in the X7 but the X5 is heavily similar

I still like the Range Rover better, wish Audi gave an optional engine on the Q8, I like its looks as well. The X5 doesn’t do it for me looks wise.

Don’t really like the exterior, it looks almost Korean in styling. I’d stick with the Range Rover/Land Rover or the Audi Q8.
22" wheels is huge on a mid-size SUV. Will definitely affect ride comfort and just looks silly.
Maybe 18-19" at the most like, on the Grand Cherokee or pretty much every other mid-size SUV's.
Nono we just got a 2019 BMW X5 and the 22 inch wheels look great compared to my 2007 x5 20 inch wheels... they are really good wheels on the new one

I think it’s practically unrivaled at the moment.
Range Rover sucks ass as far as reliability goes and X5 now has comparable off-road capabilities.
Cayenne Turbo,which is the one to get if you want a proper perfomance proposition,is expensive as hell.
GLE isn’t even properly out yet and probably won’t have a V8 until the AMG variant comes out.
Overall,only SUV’s that are worth buying right now,as far as my money is concerned,are the X5 50i if you want performance and luxury on high-90s/low 100s range
G550 if that’s your thing and straight line performance ain’t a priority.
Or G63/Cayenne Turbo if money isn’t a problem and you wanna go all ballsy.
Inside is beautiful, outside is horrendous (imo).

EddieX 100% the kidney grill. I’m all about staring at your car while walking away after parking, and last thing I’d want to see walking away is that thing 😂

doubt many people are gonna get this 50i for towing, but over 6k

well yeah but if you want a car to tow, there are better choices, or even a better engine option like the diesel when/if it comes out
Idk the Audi Q7 is pretty nice for 70k or the Subaru Ascent for 40k

The X5 has always been a great car for its money. But 100K for this you might as well consider a fully loaded base cayenne. I believe cayennes are always gonna holds its value better. It seems like all BMW premium models and AMGs are inflations soooo much in prices. What is a S63 coupe going for now? Like 160K? It’s almost a 911 turbo price range...
This has features the Cayenne doesn't even offer, like remote start..
@@AK-rx6hv Listen my friend, all these features are basically for marketing purposes. like a Huyndai, Kia or Toyota prob even offers most of the options that this X5 has as standard for like 30% of the value of this x5. but thats because no one would even consider buying these brands had they not included all these features like parking camera, cruise control etc. standard. A Porsche 911 doesnt even have to include a backup camera standard yet people would still show interest to it just because of its excellence in engineering. I had a X5 30d, the predecessor to this generation. Was a great car for around 80k USD here in Europe.
One day i had the went to the local Porsche Center and test drove a Panamera 4 which was around 100K. 20% difference in price but I can tell you now that I'll never ever go back from a Porsche to a BMW. Not saying that BMW isnt good. As I said, it was good once when it was around 80K. but when your asking me to pay 100K for x5 id rather spend it one a nicer brand that offers you a totally different experience.
Automakers please quit getting rid of buttons, it is a pain in the ass. If i want to turn up my A/C i don't want to flip through 5 pages to get to it.

EddieX I know not hating... sorry. If new I would take the LX570.
King of sting Yeah but I think a SUV should be off road capable and very luxurious and lets just say a pathfinder or even this X5 is wayyyy less capable off-road and also less luxurious than the LX570. The LX570 has a 12.3 inch screen with all the latest safety tech with a 8 speed trans. The only outdated part is the engine and fuel economy but come on... it makes almost 400 HP.
That interior looks really unattractive.
Glc63 is faster and overall better.
Glc is in the same class as the x3 not the x5. Did you even watch the review? he said 10 times this is not the M version so you cant compare it to the 63...
I rather take the bus.
