Lenses are cheaper overall for aps-c. Also with the smaller sensor you get much more range and from telephoto lenses, and you can generally get much a much more zoomed in shot.

It’s funny, I have the a7III and the a6600 (and just got the a7SIII) but just last night I needed to film something super quick and I always seem to grab that a6600 first. If I was to run out the door and needed a camera, I’d grab the a6600. I don’t know what it is, but I love that little camera and it kicks ass.
Ask me in a few weeks once I get into the SIII more. It might be a different story!

I am a A7C and A7IV full frame owner, but just haaaad to bite the apple on the A6600 for that tiny light body, the flip/tilt up screen, remarkable battery life, the ergonomic grip, the customizable buttons, and the 1.5x crop in reach the APSC sensor gives my full frame lenses while still maintaining the full 24MP.
After getting it I really appreciated the hands on shooting experience, which speaks to the "feeling" it elicits. The auto focus is remarkably quick. No lag between shots. The sound of the mechanical shutter screams quick and snappy. It weights nothing, and the grip makes me want to pick it up.
      This is a great camera!

Hi! 3 out of 5 reasons such as weight, size and price are not particularly lucky, especially if the camera is a professional tool for work. And now let's consider what it is necessary to overpay a little money for to buy full frame A7III instead of a krop of A6600. So, there are 7 reasons why it is worth paying attention to A7III: 1) Of course, this is the backlit matrix BSI, which is used in A7III. In 6600, the usual already quite old matrix is used, which when changed in A6300/A6500, and from here we go to the reason number 2. So, the reason number 2- Video quality on A7III is better than on A6600, especially this is noticeable on Full HD. Reason number 3 - both cameras have a matrix resolution of 24 megapixel, but in A6600 the physical size of the matrix is smaller, respectively, less than the pixel size and in conditions of insufficient light, the picture of A6600 will be noisier. The reason number 4 - A7III is a universal tool for photo and video shooting, while the A6600 is sharpened more for video shooting and loses a lot in photos. A7III Reason number 5- in A7III 2 slots of memory cards and there is support for UHS II, while A6600 only have 1 slot for SD cards, which in my opinion in 2021 is a very outdated and non-functional solution. Reason number 6 - A7III this is a full-frame camera, and A6600- crop. The following consequences arise from this: the sides are softer, deeper and "creamier" in A7III, which gives the picture charm and volume, the focal length does not need to be multiplied by 1.5 and the depth of the sharply depicted space is less, this is especially noticeable at focal lengths up to 50. Well, the reason number 7 is that the Sony camera crop has a very scarce park of native light-sonic optics, last year at least 16-55 on 2.8 released, therefore, If you want to buy your own light-sonic optics, then you will have to look at the optics from the full frame and then A6600 will no longer seem so light and compact, and it makes sense to cling to the crop with a full-frame lens if the crop matrix cannot reveal its potential.

@@dunnadidit Pros and Cons for sure. SO I was using an adapted 18-35 on both the xt4 and 6600 and the xt4 stab was significantly better. I ran tests between the 6600, xt4, and the 6400 for control. I tested doing B-roll type moves in 60fps where I hold the camera near my stomach with both arms trying to make gimbal-looking footage around an object. 6600 looked handheld but not shaky. xt4 looked almost convincing that it was gimbled. I wasn't doing vlogging tests, because I don't think IBIS is really supposed to handle that given the sensor movements. But for slow panning and smooth operation the xt4 stab was miles better. Maybe a firmware thing, but it was a no brainer for me.
