1. Shoot HLG to HLG 3. 2. Use Leeming Luts for Sony HLG for color correction. 3. Instead of cranking detail down to -7, like everyone on TH-cam suggests, use a black mist pro filter 1/4 - 1/2 and bring Black level -2. This analog reduction of detail is so pleasing to the eye and helps with the 8-bit color banding and noise. 4. The Sigma Trio.
I love mine, but it is a tough call. I probably wouldn’t have bought it for the full price, but I ended up getting a huge discount, so it was worth it in the end.
@@lilafromyoutube Because it was $400 more than that a6400 (where I live), but only $450 cheaper than the a7iii. I agree with you, I like the flip screen and the eye auto focus better on the a6600, but if I was going to go that expensive, I was just going to go full frame. I ended up getting a $430 discount in exchange for an ad in my video, but I’m happy I didn’t go full frame because that a7iv should be out later this year, and that will be the perfect upgrade!
You mirrored all the reasons why I also have the a6600. And I use mine for my gimbal shots. I have the a7sIII rigged, with a monitor, etc. but the little a6600 is perfect for the gimbal and it’s often the first camera I’ll grab if I’m running out the door to capture a quick shot or a day hiking. I can’t believe how much I enjoy that 6600. It’s a great camera!
Couldn’t agree more! I’m currently saving up to get the a7siii but I don’t see myself grabbing it for quick shorts or vlogs. The a6600 is perfect for that and it offers all kind of advanced features so it doesn’t feel like I’m trading convenient for quality. Do you notice the greenish look in your shots?
@@lilafromyoutube , I did hear rumours that Sony may be releasing another APSC camera, so you might want to wait and see what features that camera has. If it has S-Cinetone, that would be great. If it has a flip screen, that might work better for vlogging (yet I prefer the flip up screen to be honest). And the menu system will likely be the newer version. And it might pair better with the a7SIII. Just some things to consider. :-)
Good to know, thanks for sharing that. The next camera I will get is definitely the a7siii. I’m not looking to upgrade the a6600 but I’m interested to learn about new cameras! Why do you prefer the flip up screen instead of flip out?
@@mrspeeddemon727 🤣 forgot to respond I absolutely love my A6600, I'm a complete beginner in the photography and cinematography world and decided to get this camera from a step up on my phone camera. Learned how to use the camera quite quickly and started bringing it to almost every family event I went to practice. I love it and it was definitely worth it.
@@lilafromyoutube because of the price , I'm Egyptian so the price of any camera our camera equipments are very high in Egypt So maybe I'll buy the "Sony a6000" I think it will be okay Thanks for the reply and your interest you teached me alot I love you so much , I owe you a lot❤️
What a trip. I just bought the 6600 for the same reasons you did. I got mine last week and set it up. I was also considering the a7c but since the 6600 went on sale for $1198 and offered pretty much the same features I got it and use my sigma 16mm 1.4 which I already had for my a6000. Great review lila. Your videos always make my day
I've had mine now for three weeks and I love it! Still trying to learn the menu and s-log2 (shoot straight out of camera now) but very happy with it and the Sony 16-55G f2.8. I like the way you edited this video, and your camera presence. I'm subscribing!
Hi, nice to meet you also! Talking head, Product review and How To type videos. The 16-55 f2.8 works well for typical presentation. And the versitility of the midrange telephoto allows me to diversify my shots for faster setups along with really sharp imaging. I love the choice that I made with this lens. I'm working on my camera presense by watching other TH-camrs like yourself. I shoot in 4k and upload in 1080p, works very well, upload is quick and seems to make for a sharper 1080 video.
@@lilafromyoutube The A6600 actually 😂 Wasn't the conclusion of the video that that was worth it? Hope I didn't misunderstand. I got the 50mm lens to go with it, will be my first 50mm, so I'm excited. I also already have a 16-50mm lens here from an a5100 I got a year ago, so I have that for talking head stuff if needed. Thanks again!
@@OscarUnderdog oh wait I thought this was a reply to my new a7iii video lol!!!! 😂😂😂 nevermind, the a6600 is a fantastic camera. Just know that the 50mm will be a 75mm because it has a crop factor of 1.5. And it’s totally ok if you don’t but if you decide to buy via Amazon it would mean the world if you could use my link 😄 please don’t feel pressured. Just thought I’d be bold and ask!
@@normandy2501 I agree, lenses are more important than the body. I also talk about that in this video. The Sony GM lenses are amazing. I don’t have experience with sigma yet but good to know you like them!
Do it. The new cameras have better colour science. a7c entry level, a7Siii pro video, a7r pro photo (new one might be announced soon) a7iv hybrid photo/ video should be announced soon. That’s the full frame line up. If you want apc then a6600 as it’s closer to the new colour science and it uses the same as the full frame batteries.
@@HeresMo Thank you very much for the hint! I'll take a look at the different cameras and compare them with each other. It is not easy to keep track of things 😉
Your talking points flow so nicely, and that pull away/ cut away from you talking out to the editing work flow and you talking sitting in front of the PC was dope. Well i did notice the more green ish look to sony since i got the Sony FS5, but the look of the picture straight out of camera other than that looks petty nice, and i hate the menu.. like 110% hate it lol.
Thanks for all the compliments! I’m glad you like the review. I wasn’t sure about the style I decided to go for but I think it’s a lot better to see the camera in action (aka film the video with the camera) than just sit down and talk about it 😅 the menu isn’t great, I totally agree. But I’m raaaaarely in the menu, so if you can program buttons and shortcuts, do it! 😂

Question from a newbie: Can you power or charge the Sony A6600 with a powerbank while it is recording for very long lasting videography sessions ? Can you use a Usb-c to micro usb cord since the camera only has micro usb and not usb-c ?
Very clear, hands-on review. And beautiful mid-film switch. Exactly what's missing: actually seeing the camera in use on the review! Thanks, nice work.
I like to shoot stills using a pair of cameras with two different focal length lenses... Right now, I use the A6400 AND A6600 which is a very nice relatively light weight combination. I purchased the A6400 first because of the animal eye AF capability and used that camera along with my first mirrorless camera, the A6500 which had IBIS. The latter is important since I do a lot of work with legacy lenses. When the A6600 offered BOTH IBIS and Animal Eye AF, I snapped it up and sold the A6500. The extra money between selling the A6500 and buying the A6600 was not all that much considering the extra advantages of the A6600. I am quite happy with the A6400 and A6500 combination but was excited over the bogus information that Sony was introducing a "BABY A1" APSC camera. However, that doesn't seem likely!
BTW: A Sony APSC camera combined with the Sony 70-350mm lens makes a very efficient and quite light weight combination. I have no problems shooting with a crop sensor camera and have made some very large prints for display.
Nice review You deserve more subs! Want to know that whether you faced any overheating problem in this camera while shooting at 4k or 1080p ? How it performs in low light condition? Another thing is do you recommend to enter into Sony ecosystem for beginners? Are really Sony colours bad or it depends on person's perception?
Ok I’m gonna answer your questions one by one: 1. I didn’t have any overheating issues with this camera. 2. Good question! The a6600 has a crop sensor which means that it performs a little less good than a full frame sensor but if you get yourself a nice lens with a wide aputure, you may be able to compensate it! I wish I added a few night time shots in my videos, shit! 😅 3. I definitely recommend Sony, although every camera is good. It all comes down to personal preference but I *personally* really like Sony cameras and their trajectory. I added some raw clips in this video regarding the Sony colours so you can look at it and judge for yourself. It’s definitely a personal thing. You can always edit it in your video editing software or fix it in the camera itself by changing a few settings. Hopefully this helps!
I’m saving up to get the a7siii, but I will continue to use my a6600 for most things because it’s just small and easy to use :) the a7siii will replace my a7iii for stationary stuff and b-rolls. I still recommend the a7iii, don’t get me wrong. If it had a flippy screen I wouldn’t be switching.
Yeah I really recommend the a6600! I’m currently saving up to get the a7siii though. Like I said in the video, the main reasons why I don’t like my a7iii is because it’s not really a run and gun type of camera for me. It’s heavy, it’s big and it doesn’t have a flippy screen. However I still use it for all my tutorials! Although I’m saving up for the a7siii I don’t know if it will replace my a6600 for vlogging because the a6600 is just so convenient!
Same! I haven’t used the ZV1 so I can’t really speak from experience but I think the a6600 has sooo many more possibilities and I like that idea. I’d probably feel more limited with the ZV-1.
I was really huge fan of Sony colors... but lately that started changing... i haven't notice that green cast so much on my a7iii BUT( i might be colorblind or my monitor is... :P ) i have to say sony A6600 seems very tempting investment!!! Awesome review Lila!!!
I have to admit that I haven’t really noticed it on my a7iii but like I said I haven’t been shooting with it much lately so 🤷🏻♀️ are you looking for a new camera or still happy with the a7iii? I love the a7iii but for anything youtube related it stresses me out every time 😂
@@lilafromyoutube i am still happy with A7iii but i know its a pain in the peach for self head talking videos (especially in a small space "studio" ) and vlogs because of the not flipping screen but i think i found a small little hack to not worry about exposure so much... but if could get a camera dedicated to vlogs sure A6600 is on top of the list..
Thanks, great review. While I will not use my (soon to be mine) A6600 as you do, you touched all the right points for me to make my choice. I'm already in the Sony APSC ecosystem (lens) so I really don't want to do the hassle of selling all my lens to get what I need from my next camera. Thanks!
🧞 Great video, really considering buying the a6600, especially after watching the sigma video - but what now that the a74 is out and it also has a flipping screen? love your channel
Funny how many times you've said camra...good and very informative. Own 6600 for over a year now, I mainly bought it for wildlife photography with 200-600mm. Subscribed, keep it up. 👍
I’m looking to grab the a6600 just waiting for a sale but curious for that nice bokeh background you mentioned 1.2f - 1.8f but curious if it needs to be something like a 34mm lens? I’m still learning lenses so I just wanna grab the right one for that really nice blur backdrop
Hi first time checking this channel from India. First of all thanks for the video. Could you please suggest me this camera would be good for indoor shooting ? I am a full time drummer and I already use sony nX100. Recently I noticed there are lot of grains in my video when I shoot indoor with low light is it because of the camcorder property. All walls in room are black carpet . Kindly share your thoughts should I get this ? Considering the covid situation here in India am going to take a big step of getting this. Here in India is little costly. I forgot to mention I also use gvm video slider . So would it be perfect if I attach this to the slider and for the auto focus purpose as the slider moves. Kindly give a reply. Thanks
if you shoot in low light I highly recommend using a full frame camera or an APS-C camera with a lens with a wide aperture (such as the a6600 + sigma 16mm 1.4). I think your best bet is a full frame camera though
Great review! I changed from 6000-6300-6500-6600 . But I changed to A7C pretty quick. If u can live with the 90 degrees flip screen than the 6500 is a solid performer
@@lilafromyoutube cause what kind of upgrade do I(most people) want from A6500? first the ISO performance . second f2.8 wide&telephoto zoom lens. Whats the main upgrade from 6500-6600? first larger battery(a bonus but doesnt bother me)second flip up screen(a bonus but more and more sony camera will have flip "out" screen)third real time tracking its a step up but not enough to justify the price difference. What do I gain from A7C ? first I still have the same(almost) form factor(which I love) from A6600 second lens selection is more than enough and it doesnt get bigger(tamron 1728 2875 70180) and the price is almost the same ! third the ISO sensitivity is insane ! (But theres still new awesome lens for apsc users like the long waited tamron 1120 f2.8)
Hi Lila, thanks so much for the amazing content! What are your thoughts in regards to the Sony ZV-1? My use would be talking heads, product demonstration and b-roll. Love to hear from you about the ZV-1
I haven’t used the ZV1 so I can only speak from what I’ve heard and read. I personally would recommend to get a camera with interchangeable lenses and a bigger sensor (better video quality especially in low light conditions). The ZV1 could fit your needs depending on what you need and the look you’re going for, but having the option to change lenses is really useful. Maybe not now, but down the road when your needs change you won’t have to buy a new camera. But of course it all depends on what your needs are as a creator and your budget.
I just don’t want to tell you what to do with your money 😅 I’ve heard good things about the ZV1 but I’m not sure what your filmmaking goals are in the long run. If you wanna film b roll like the big guys, they all shoot on different lenses with a very wide (low) aperture and you won’t be able to create that same look with the ZV1. Always happy to talk about it so if there’s anything else just let me know :)
I just got the a6600, and while the IBIS is helpful, the rolling shutter is atrocious! It is easy enough to fix the green color thing, even in camera you can tweak the colors in the picture profile settings. That battery life and the endless record time makes it perfect for my needs! Great camera and thorough review, good job!
Thanks Aaron! I forgot to touch on the rolling shutter. I agree, it’s bad. But since I don’t whip my camera around too often I don’t really see it that often. That’s probably why I forgot to mention it. Oops! Which lens did you get with your a6600?
@@lilafromyoutube I have the 18-135, I think it is a great value lens! Sharp and with an incredibly useful range. I didn't care for the 16-55 when I had my a6000, but it is a great size. It's on the long end of the 135mm that the rolling shutter is terrible and micro jitters turn the footage to jello. Just a limitation to be aware of. I love the camera though.
@@TheAaronalden I’ve never tried a long lens like that on the a6600, it sounds like an incredible lens because of the variety! 135 on an a6600 is a really nice tele lens I think!

Gosh I wouldn’t know! I’ve heard that the GH5 is a beast but I haven’t used the camera or know much about it so I can’t really answer that for you sorry
Hi Lila, this is the first video I've watched of yours and I hit subscribe. Great review. Love the energy and fast pace of your delivery. You and covered all the points I was looking for since I'm on a Canon 80D and looking to switch to the a6600. I think for the talking head shots, the Sigma 16mm f1.4 is popular.
Oh wow, thanks Lin! So nice to meet you 😊 are you interested in more a6600 content? I’ve heard good things about the sigma but I haven’t had the chance to test it out might. Might rent it to see what all the fuss is about. If you have any more questions about the a6600 that will help you make your decision, im happy to chat!
@@lilafromyoutube Cheers, Lila. I've mainly been just watching reviews of it to get familiar with the camera features and the lens selection. I have the Sigma 30mm 1.4 EF for my 80D and I love it. It's my go-to talking head lens. The bokeh is great and I don't have to be too far from it to be framed well. But in a smaller space like my closet studio, the 16mm is what I need. I like the idea of the 10-18mm for vlogging too. If only it had a wider aperture, then it'd be the only lens I'd need for a while. But I guess they need to make their money somehow. 🤣
@@linnyunt I totally agree, I would love to see a 10-18 f2.8 or something! We all love a creamy blurry background don’t we? I think the sigma 16 would really work well in that case, based on the focal length not my experience 😅 I just really like the versatility of a zoom lens when it comes to vlogging. I wonder if there’s any good adapters out there so you can use your sigma on Sony. The worst thing about getting a new brand is having to switch an entire eco system 😅 thankfully if you choose to go for the a6600 now and later decide you want to go full frame - those lens mounts are the same.
@@lilafromyoutube I have looked into adaptors and it looks like the AF doesn't work in video mode which is a deal-breaker for me. But it's great that the Sony E-mount lenses work on full frame as well. I might just have to bite the bullet. I'll let you know if I do. 😁
Honestly the a6600 eye AF looks incredible. I did found out with the FX3 that eye AF does not work well in crowded situations with like events and such, but for vlogging it's perfect!
@@lilafromyoutube Hahaha! LISTEN UP EVERYONE! Everyone who isn't the bride and groom I need you to close your eyes! Camera: doesn't know to focus on bride or groom 😂
No idea you had the 6600! We have one and LOVE this camera! It was our first camera that we invest in for TH-cam besides our point and shoot. Definitely a great camera to learn on in my personal opinion!
The deal breaker for me when it came out was the lack of a pop-up flash. I know who uses a flash? Well they sometimes come in handy especially for fills and extreme low light. I ended up with a discounted 6500 which has served me well until they come out with something that includes stabilization and doesn't leave out useful features included in lower cost models.
Thank you so much for your video. Ive been debating so much whether I should go for full frame or just getting the a6400 because I didnt know if its worth it with the price. I think I got more reasons to go for 6600 now.
That’s something a lot of people seem to wonder when it comes to getting a new camera. Full frame is great (I made a video about the a7iii if you’re interested) but it really depends on your needs as a videographer. What will you be using the camera for? Do you really need a full frame or is a crop camera like the a6600 good enough? It also depends on your budget. I think the a6600 is great bang for your buck.

They are both in great condition literally like new they looks fresh out the box I also have the accessories and the boxes they came in . I can sell you the body for 750 ! Lmk if you’d also be interested in the lenses. I can send you videos as well. Lmk!
That's the only one I could afford 😜 So far completely in love with it. My only complain is the moving stutter. The IBIS is a disappointment 🤣 but overall the camera is definitely an all rounder and THAT BATTERY LIFE..WOWOWOWOWOWOW😛
The rolling shutter is definitely an issue! I totally forgot to mention that. For me it’s not a dealbreaker though because I often don’t really shoot anything that shows the rolling shooter too much. I’m glad you’re love the camera overall!!
@@lilafromyoutube It was.. i bought it one and a half years ago. Mint condition open box unit w/ less than 200 shutter count.. and 2 extra sony batteries.
Thanks! The 90D seems to be a pretty popular camera! Are you interested in getting a Sony camera if your wallet would allow it or would you like to stick to canon?
Yes! The camera is beautiful, I got the 18-135 mm kit lense and a 1.8/50mm lens. I'm actually about to go back to your video to double check some of the settings you suggested for taking video! Thanks again
With the right lens, I think so! If you’re looking for a camera just for photography you might want to take a look at the “r” line, such as the a7r3. Those cameras are specifically designed for photography. But if you also want to film with it or you’re on a budget I think the a6600 will be good too.

Actually I traded my A6400 to Full Frame A7C, and it’s truth that Sony upgrade the color science that it’s no more greenish tinge ever since I change to the new A7C
This was very helpful, thank you! I have an "ancient" Sony A7S and looking to upgrade and while I'd love to get a full frame camera the price matters a lot and the Sony A6600 seems to be a really good option. Plus auto focus! My Sony A7S does have auto focus but I'm sure compared to the A6600 it's absolute crap haha
It is pretty good. I loved the autofocus and cine2/4 or HLG were easy to work with. If you want to use S-log I would point you to other cameras though. 8 bit video just can't support log footage. Maybe wait for the A7iv to be released? It might drive 2nd hand prices of the A7iii/A7C down.
But from other honest reviews I see that .. Eye detection and tracking does not work while in 4K mode, which is super disappointing. Also you only get 8-bit 4:2:0 colour internal recording, or 8-bit 4:2:2 on an external recorder which is a real downer considering the competition is all going with 10-bit colour now. Also the Ibis is terrible.
I have this camera A6600 FROM 2020 with Sigma lens and sony is a great camera I don't plan to sale for upgrade to A7c for me better grip than a7C and view found is better too.
Hi Orlando! I am confused between Sony kit lens 18-135mm and sigma 30 f1.4 lens. I want nice blurry background for my makeup videos. Could you please help me. I sometimes like to vlog too so should I buy both of them or sigma alone can do both vlogging and makeup videos stuff.
@@thebrowngirlammu hey! I’m not Orlando but I wanna give it a shot either way. If you want a nice blurry background I actually recommend the sigma 16 F1.4. You shouldn’t forget that the a6600 has a crop factor of 1.5 which means that when you get the 30mm, you actually get an equivalent to 45mm. This is okay if you put the camera farther from you, but if you want to vlog with it too it’s not a great lens. That’s why I would recommend the 16mm (24mm equivalent) because it’s just wide enough to vlog with and the 1.4 gives you a nice blurry background. Here’s a link if you want to check it out: amzn.to/2VJOrUg
Don’t blame the A7III for exposure. It’s not like you’re going to do anything about it during recording. Especially in head shots, set the exposure to a fixed level. Basic videography.
I don’t think you paid attention to what I said. The problem with the a7iii is that you can’t monitor the FIXED exposure when you shoot in daylight, unless you have an external monitor. Edit bc of a typo ;)
@@lilafromyoutube I know, but does it actually change anything in your workflow? Sit in front of the camera > check the exposure > get behind the camera > change the exposure > get in front of the camera again. Versus: sit in front of the camera while recording a sample > get behind the camera > check exposure in playback > change exposure anyway > get in front of the camera again. A fixed exposure is fixed, so you need to do another take anyway if the exposure isn't right. You can also use the mobile app from Sony to check the exposure (and the frame). A flip screen is a little more convenient, I agree, especially for vloggers. For me it doesn't make a lot of difference. The best videos are usually shot with someone behind the camera.
So this is what I do: I position the camera, record a sample, check the composition and the exposure, fix it, record another sample. Usually I get the exposure right in one or two takes, the framing takes longer. But when the light changes, e.g. a cloud in front of the sun, I can’t monitor that. I usually try to take a break when I notice the lighting in the room changed until it’s back “to normal” again but it’s 1. A lot of effort and unnecessary frustration and 2. Easy to miss if it’s a more subtle, but still noticeable change in lighting/exposure. So yea the lighting of the camera is fixed, but when the lighting changes in the room, it just doesn’t look good. Unfortunately when I use the app, I lose face auto focus. I tried it before but my camera wouldn’t focus on my face anymore. But it is a bummer 😅 Edit: I agree that the best videos are shot with a camera man but I don’t have a person like that and I think a lot of youtubers don’t, unless we’re talking about the really big ones.
Hey Lila I currently shoot on my iPhone 12pro and Canon 70d. Im looking to move into the Sony World. Im looking to get a 4k Camera that's great for video that will be perfect for creating skits, vlogs, etc for filmmaking. Which is the ideal camera budget wise and the recommend one (Pricy wise) as a solo content creator.
@@lilafromyoutube yes, I should have rephrased it, should I get the Sony a7iii or wait for the Sony a7iv. The Sony a6600 is a good point and shoot but to get something now without upgrading for a long time which would you recommend?
@@twistedjourney if you're a one man band looking to be in front of the camera I don't recommend getting the a7iii. The a7siii is a great option but way more expensive. Trust me, you're going to want a flippy screen. 😅 I think that the a6600 is a great camera and not a camera you'd have to upgrade for the next few years. 4k will suffice for a very long time, the battery is fantastic, and I'm very happy with that camera. Just get a really good lens to go with it!
@@twistedjourney you’re so welcome!! I think a lot of people (I’ve been there myself) get stuck on which camera to get, while a camera lens is going to make the biggest difference! Ayyy nice .the most thing I like about your personality that you always check comments unlike other youtubers. quick note: I don't mean that other youtubers are bad or something especially the once who gets like 5k comments or more ! I mean this is gives really a warm smile and this is a feeling I get every time I you reply . I just love it. (next time bring like 5 cups of coffee when you're 100k subscriberes;)
Great review. One thing I would like to point out though is that S-log2 should be avoided as much as possible. 8 Bit video just cannot handle log profiles. In the half year I had using the a6600, a7iii, and a7sii for work, S-log2 was just tooooooooo finicky. Lots of artifacts, and it was impossible to fix the colours even when matching to an X-rite card after perfect white balance. The magenta is also never right according to vectorscopes, but if you tried to fix the magenta, you will break the other colours. I found much more success with cine2/4 or hlg2. If anyone wants to use S-log2, Mark10 has a special S-log2 profile where Canon-like colours are baked in, so you can skip the colour grading step in post production. I wasn't able to test it enough (cos I lost my job shortly after :
Hi, I LOVE your username! Professional potato, that's brilliant. I'm waiting to get my hands on a sony a7siii so I can use 10-bit! Why don't you switch to the a7siii? It sounds like it fits your needs perfectly.
@@lilafromyoutube Hahah thank you :) Oh I would love to really. But for now I don't have the money to make a switch to full frame. My main glass was the Sigma 18-35 ef and my other lenses were EF too, so I ended up getting a Fuji XT4 with an adapter that gives near native AF performance. The 10 bit on Fuji is pretty good, and the rolling shutter is better compared to the Sony APS-C line. But it has some shortcomings too. Fuji's AF is pretty meh. Above a Panasonic but below a Nikon I'd say. One day, I'll get one. My dream camera
@@lilafromyoutube my budget is $900 😎 what's your suggestions? Is it worthy? After watching your review and many others I can confirm this camera is great for my needs.
@@mayaventuraelsalvador You might want to check out the Sony ZV1 amzn.to/2RVg9vK. It's currently $650 and it might be what you need. It's not as elaborate as the a6600 (hence the price) but the quality is really good. Scientifically as humans we see more shades of green nearly all the animal kingdom. Sony is great is nature for this reason. It’s natural to see more greens in your everyday shoot because it is accurate.
@@lilafromyoutube Yep. Exactly. The dollar cost to start on Sony doesn't make sense. Plus my wife would shoot me if I showed up with a bunch of new gear.

Why would you not have bought it at full price? I’d love to hear your thoughts :)
Why is that? Curious to learn more about your opinion. @m tech
Just ordered mine yesterday and will be expecting it to arrive on Friday. Can't wait to get my hands on it to see if it's worth the hype.

Good job! Very informative and hit good points. This video definitely helped me decide.
Happy to hear that! Did you order the a6600?
I've had mine now for three weeks and I love it! Still trying to learn the menu and s-log2 (shoot straight out of camera now) but very happy with it and the Sony 16-55G f2.8. I like the way you edited this video, and your camera presence. I'm subscribing!
Hiii, nice to meet you! The 16-55 f2.8 sounds like a great lens. What are you using your camera for? What kind of videos do you make?
Hi, nice to meet you also! Talking head, Product review and How To type videos. The 16-55 f2.8 works well for typical presentation. And the versitility of the midrange telephoto allows me to diversify my shots for faster setups along with really sharp imaging. I love the choice that I made with this lens. I'm working on my camera presense by watching other TH-camrs like yourself. I shoot in 4k and upload in 1080p, works very well, upload is quick and seems to make for a sharper 1080 video.
This just sold me on it, thank you so much for this, you're so clear and thorough 🙏
Happy to hear that!! What lens are you going to pair the a7iii with??
@@lilafromyoutube The A6600 actually 😂 Wasn't the conclusion of the video that that was worth it? Hope I didn't misunderstand. Awesome!!
I've been using Canon cameras for over 10 years and am now considering switching to Sony.

I’m glad I could help!!

Excelente video Lila!! Muchas gracias! New sub 😄
so nice to meet you!
Nice review
You deserve more subs!
Want to know that whether you faced any overheating problem in this camera while shooting at 4k or 1080p ?
How it performs in low light condition?
Another thing is do you recommend to enter into Sony ecosystem for beginners? Are really Sony colours bad or it depends on person's perception?
Ok I’m gonna answer your questions one by one:
Would you change to the A7C now ? or do you prefer the smaller lens set up w/ the A6600 ?
I’m saving up to get the a7siii, but I will continue to use my a6600 for most things because it’s just small and easy to use :) the a7siii will replace my a7iii for stationary stuff and b-rolls. I still recommend the a7iii, don’t get me wrong. If it had a flippy screen I wouldn’t be switching.
Going crop over full frame is interesting- I’m new to Sony but the 6000 series cameras seem pretty awesome.
I have an a7III and a7SIII - But you make a great case for the a6600. I think I would get the a6600 rather than the ZV1 for vlogging.

Kindly share your thoughts should I get this ?

if you shoot in low light I highly recommend using a full frame camera or an APS-C camera with a lens with a wide aperture (such as the a6600 + sigma 16mm 1.4). I think your best bet is a full frame camera though
Great review! I changed from 6000-6300-6500-6600 . But I changed to A7C pretty quick. If u can live with the 90 degrees flip screen than the 6500 is a solid performer

@@lilafromyoutube thanks Lila. I completely understand where you coming from. Thanks again for your reply and amazing content.

I ended up with a discounted 6500 which has served me well until they come out with something that includes stabilization and doesn't leave out useful features included in lower cost models.
It's really personal so I get it. I'm glad the a6500 is what fits your needs. Which camera are you waiting or hoping for?
Lol I use the pop up flash alot on my a6400
Thank you so much for your video.
Hi !I have a Sony a6400 with a Sony 16-50mm lense and a sigma 16mm fixed lense . They are both in great condition literally like new they looks fresh out the box I also have the accessories and the boxes they came in . I can sell you the body for 750 ! Lmk if you’d also be interested in the lenses. I can send you videos as well. Lmk!
That's the only one I could afford 😜
So far completely in love with it.
I’d love to get an A6600. Feels nicer in the hands compared to my A6400. But I got my A6400 for less than USD600.. can’t complaint about that.
Oh wow that’s a great deal!!

Thanks! The 90D seems to be a pretty popular camera! Are you interested in getting a Sony camera if your wallet would allow it or would you like to stick to canon?

Is it worth it for photography?
With the right lens, I think so! If you’re looking for a camera just for photography you might want to take a look at the “r” line, such as the a7r3. Those cameras are specifically designed for photography. But if you also want to film with it or you’re on a budget I think the a6600 will be good too.

I’d say they are all worth it
Actually I traded my A6400 to Full Frame A7C, and it’s truth that Sony upgrade the color science that it’s no more greenish tinge ever since I change to the new A7C
That’s awesome! The a7c looks amazing. The only reason why I didn’t go for that one is because it wasn’t out when I got the a6600 😅
I just love your videos 😻
Oh thank you!
How the eye auto focus works if you wear a sunglasses?
Never tried it but I don't think so? Now I wanna give it a try haha
Have you made your purchasing decision yet?? :)

That’s weird, eye tracking in 4k works fine on my camera.
I have this camera A6600 FROM 2020 with Sigma lens and sony is a great camera I don't plan to sale for upgrade to A7c for me better grip than a7C and view found is better too.
The a6600 is fantastic
@@lilafromyoutube thank you so much ❤. This really cleared up my doubt.
Does the 6600 have a 30 minute record limit?
Nop! Limitlessssss
why not a7c full frame in 2021 rather crop sensor 6600?
I bought this camera before the a7c was released :) it seems like a solid option! Haven’t tried it myself though

If you get a good lens, it’s a good option. I recommend this lens: th-cam.com/video/tp5YkAYBjAc/w-d-xo.html
But it is a bummer 😅
Edit: I agree that the best videos are shot with a camera man but I don’t have a person like that and I think a lot of youtubers don’t, unless we’re talking about the really big ones.
Did you watch the video at all? 😜
You might want to take a look at the a7c (don't have personal experience with it but i've heard good things) or wait for the a7iv if it has a flippy screen.
@@lilafromyoutube Thats true, thank you so much. Continue the journey 🙌🏽
@@twistedjourney you’re so welcome!! I think a lot of people (I’ve been there myself) get stuck on which camera to get, while a camera lens is going to make the biggest difference! I think the a6600 will be great value for money for the next few years. The only difference you *may* want to consider is that the a6600 is a aps-c camera and the a7iii is a full frame camera. Hi lila.... Nice video
Thank you!
A very good APSC camera with one deadly drawback, the ROLLING SHUTTER. If you start panning with the a6600 the video becomes a jello mess. Cheers
Haha agreed, the rolling shutter is shitty. I should’ve mentioned it, totally forgot. I don’t really notice it much because I don’t pan to a point where it shows, only when I do a transition but in that case I don’t really care about the distortion
