    Neo- liberal economic policies have already laid waste to jobs in many parts of the UK. They are employment deserts. And those people that are made redundant from formerly well paid jobs, at 50+ either never work again. Or are forced to work in Zero-Hours contract, minimum wage employment. Further education in this country is sclerotic, and patchy at best. The idea that people made redundant by, AI dominated by Big tech, will simply retrain and everything will be tickety-boo is for the birds. Lets get real...

      @@jimmysjobs Margaret Thatcher's Neo-Liberal experiment, was only possible because of the Gold rush of North Sea Oil & Gas and it's massive windfall. It's no surprise that after it was squandered, on Tax cuts and selling it to the highest bidder on the world market.
      That experiment has since turned to ashes. With Energy prices, quadrupling and growth languishing in the doldrums. We failed to fix the roof, while the sun was shining. We are now paying the piper. The solutions are varied & complex. But it doesn't involve, Business as usual...
