Fifty years ago, as an archaeology student, I encountered a scholarly, but very readable book about the Peloponnesian War. The author was Victor D. Hanson. Even then the rot afflicting American academia was noticeable, and to escape it I transferred to engineering school and had a career as a Navy ship designer ever since. I'm now old and infirm so unlikely to participate in the renaissance of American arms I'm hoping will come to us with Mr. Trump in charge. But my vote was not wasted.

My wife a physician of 30 years gets so stressed out when she tries to listen to the new that I listen to but with you she is able to calm down and focus and understand. I voted against trump in 2016. In 2019, Victor Davis Hanson recorded an interview titled "The Case for Trump" and it rearranged my entire world view. I had been slowly waking up already but Victor's wisdom was like a cold splash of water. Of course he’d never tell because of loyalty, respect and security issue’s. Another thing about President-Elect Trump he doesn’t believe in wasting greatness and why wouldn’t you want to hear from Victor D. Hanson regarding his thoughts on certain matter’s. The poll is absolutely true that Americans still have the most respect and what I’d call being both common sense folks that aren’t afraid of hard work. This is obviously American 🇺🇸 people’s thought’s on the Australian 🇦🇺 people, not your government or most of our government. So that’s why we learned to not listen to most liberal new because now they’re just leftists activists spreading propaganda or like state run TV. The Ivy League’s or any University won’t tell you that half of their scholarships are homeschooled children because they’re grades plus their test score’s are off the chart’s. Then they were taught to think critically so indoctrination and propaganda means nothing to them. That’s why 18-27 year olds registered and voted conservatives because most are moderates. Liberal isn’t even considered cool anymore and they’re just more respectful to everyone, even those who do have the same views but of course once the other’s feel like they’ve lost the debate, that’s when all the cursing and vulgar language begins to being yelled at you or anyone around. The Ground News app is helpful when vetting if a story is biased, which way it may lean or if it’s not true at all. It’s a great app and it gives many right, center right, center, center left, leftists and independent new source’s as well. I find that the only way to truly understand what’s going on regarding any matter without any political spin, as I remember but it was long ago and some may not even could imagine a time like that. I know I’ve gone on and on but I do like what was discussed and I do want the Australian 🇦🇺 people to understand we as Americans 🇺🇸 stand with you as friends. I understand that persons point. Terminology is important. For example …a threat to democracy… we r a constitutional republic not a democracy. Or illegal migrant/ immigrant is an oxymoron it is illegal alien. So when we keep saying America when it is United states the implication is wrong. This North American continent is more than the United States. So when u use the wrong term like democracy rather than constitutional republic then citizens forget what they really function under and slowly creeping up is we become a democracy with all its threats to inalienable rights. When Obama handed over to Trump in 2016, the inflation rate was 0.7%. In trumps first year it went to 2.1% and by the time he was voted out it stood at 2.3%. During Biden's time-including Covid disruption-it went from 7% (2021) to 2.4% in this present year. Unemployment rate currently stands at 3.64%. The lowest since the 1950's. So, let's see how the figures 2.4% and 3.64% match up four years from now...
@@johnfarrell9116 Nobody cares about that. It's too much nuance, the average voter has no interest in nuance. All they remember is Trump=low inflation, Biden=high inflation. Then Trump comes along and promises to fix inflation on day one by waiving a magic wand. The average voter thinks: "I'm voting for the inflation fixing wizard!!". If it's any consolation, if Trump really builds tje 20-100% toll barriers on all imported goods he promised us, inflation and interest rates are going to surge again and this time there is nobody in his administration to stop him. Thus, with a bit of luck, people will remember that Trump=inflation when he campaigns for J.D. Vance in 2028 (assuming Vance's backers can afford Trump's fee).

Fifty years ago, as an archaeology student, I encountered a scholarly, but very readable book about the Peloponnesian War. The author was Victor D. Hanson. Even then the rot afflicting American academia was noticeable, and to escape it I transferred to engineering school and had a career as a Navy ship designer ever since. I'm now old and infirm so unlikely to participate in the renaissance of American arms I'm hoping will come to us with Mr. Trump in charge. But my vote was not wasted.

My wife a physician of 30 years gets so stressed out when she tries to listen to the new that I listen to but with you she is able to calm down and focus and understand. The fear of losing the country is real but right now we have someone who can make the best of a bad situation. I told her that the democrats are not going to let up on him but not to let anything they do worry her because he expects it and is going to move forward inspite of them. I voted against trump in 2016. In 2019, Victor Davis Hanson recorded an interview titled "The Case for Trump" and it rearranged my entire world view. I had been slowly waking up already but Victor's wisdom was like a cold splash of water. The Ground News app is helpful when vetting if a story is biased, which way it may lean or if it’s not true at all. I find that the only way to truly understand what’s going on regarding any matter without any political spin, as I remember but it was long ago and some may not even could imagine a time like that. I understand that persons point. Terminology is important. For example …a threat to democracy… we r a constitutional republic not a democracy. Or illegal migrant/ immigrant is an oxymoron it is illegal alien. So when we keep saying America when it is United states the implication is wrong. This North American continent is more than the United States. So when u use the wrong term like democracy rather than constitutional republic then citizens forget what they really function under and slowly creeping up is we become a democracy with all its threats to inalienable rights. If we use illegal immigrant instead if illegal alien we become complicit in putting on that politically correct straight jacket on ourselves and so say bye bye to freedom of speech and thought. So terminology is important to truth and the functionality of the government for the citizen .

During Biden's time-including Covid disruption-it went from 7% (2021) to 2.4% in this present year.
Unemployment rate currently stands at 3.64%. The lowest since the 1950's.
So, let's see how the figures 2.4% and 3.64% match up four years from now...

Then Trump comes along and promises to fix inflation on day one by waiving a magic wand. The average voter thinks: "I'm voting for the inflation fixing wizard!!". If it's any consolation, if Trump really builds tje 20-100% toll barriers on all imported goods he promised us, inflation and interest rates are going to surge again and this time there is nobody in his administration to stop him. Thus, with a bit of luck, people will remember that Trump=inflation when he campaigns for J.D. Vance in 2028 (assuming Vance's backers can afford Trump's fee).
