Gentleman and Smitha ji, It is not so easy to make a decision of retirement from your profession. You can do it only if you have a strong mind. I made the decision to quit my profession when i just reached the peak of my profession(am 1st batch software postgraduate in engineering) at the age of 52. It has been 18 years since. I am very happy all the way. But had a tough 6 months to make the decision.
As an armed forces officer I can tell that these "senior fellows" have a very shallow understanding about the structure and organization of our services. I could spot atleast two glaring factual errors in mere 5 minutes span. So take the discussion with a pinch of salt.
1:29:00 Can I just say that I was very proud of myself to know that Tehseem was talking about Fatima Bhutto, when he gave this description "A country's ex- PM's assassinated brother's daughter" even before he mentioned the country or anything. Hadn't read her tweet or anything, but that's how I remember her. Read her book "The Songs of Blood & Sword" like a decade ago when I was in 9th standard on the recommendation of my Pol Sci teacher.
I do not understand UBER signing a contract with IAF and Indian Navy . It is extremely dangerous for Indian Security. What is Rajnath Singh our Defense Minister is doing? Such incompetence ... these people are in Defense? Scary,.....
People outside of defence believe every propaganda these podcasts share…… request you to yourself go through the whole deal and get the perspective. I’m not buying a bunch of blabbers on national security when a lot of things the set of 4 present say turn out to be straight out lies. Also criticism is good but should not be at the cost of using derogatory language about the forces ever. It is not open mindedness it is outright disrespectful. Criticism should be there and any veteran would tell there are problems but eventually a lot is being looked upon. Good luck listening to non veterans on operational tactics as well.
The 120kmph drive which Abhijit mentioned around 2:42 was on the Nehru Outer Ring Road (ORR). And yes, it's a 8 lane ring road. However, that's not the centre of the city. It still takes time within the city from point A to B. However, it is much more simpler as compared to a Bombay, Pune, Bangalore or Gurugram
When i used to say 4 years ago that we needed data hygiene and our systems (Indian interest oriented & pragmatic implementative solution driven approach) i got argument like kya hi hojayega. I mean i used to feel very disgusting yet here we are and now we are realising that we need it. I am not writing this to praise myself but I just want to let people know that there are very very big problems our country will face if we do not encounter this issue.
I have new found respect for Anand Ranganathan. He veered the topic back to Yadav & many times in the podcast back to the actual topic which was being discussed, something which smita as a FREAKINNGGG HOST ought to be responsible. And for the love of GOD, everytime their bickering intensifies I have to skip 30 seconds ahead, its worse than a FISH MARKET! I wish Smita reads this & takes this a positive criticism!
On migration, Sushant ji is point of view is correct..he is so true. I love how Abhijit ji 's point of view is custructively different...when others are thinking a certain direction..he is simply hookum ka ikka.
You dont interrupt guests to steer the conversation to the right direction but to brek their chain of thoughts at a time when they are making a pertinent point. Hope you will reflect on this.
Smita, great session! Call the session as Salad session as each item in salad keeps it's identity whereas in Samosa all ingredients mixed up and cannot be saperated.
I agree 1000% with Sushant Sareen that have we heard Chinese say it, its always us saying things. What a brilliant argument and this is the criticism our country needs to learn to address, because it is fundamental to the understanding of reality.
Have we forgetton Kulbhushan Jadhav ? How more he and his family will suffer . The same applies to Nikhil Gupta . Mr Vikas Yadav should not suffer any humiliation .
This is great stuff. Wish prime time debates were as informative and less noisy. Mutual respect without compromise on your stand with an ability to listen to the other side. Slightly elite / ivory towerish, Yet they do touch key points that should be covered even for the less informed.
This gatherings is one the best ever you can found in the net. Though don't like poonawala at all. Waiting for the next. Subh deepawali to all of you❤❤❤
41:00 Wanted to know if this "Yadav" character was fall guy or what, instead it devolved into NOTHING, with all the bickering & what not! JEEZZZ!! And then Smita shouting over the top instead of controlling & veering the debate & coming back to the FREAKING TOPIC!!!!
If we discuss opposing viewpoint without being personal like all democracies, we will strengthen our nation. We that way don't waste our energy. Not liking someone's viewpoint doesn't mean not liking the person, it doesn't behove of our deep education based civilisation that thrived on debates to not allow full freedom to give an opposing viewpoint. I appreciate this healthy discussion, it makes people feel at home while listening to disagreeing argument, sometimes cutting through my disagreement.

As always, this session did keep upto its characteristics of "Nirbhejaal Aaddaa". Thank you Smitajee for another gem of a podcast.🙏 I would just like to say for a common Indian like me, it becomes imperative to boycott a product endorsed by a certain celebrity when the concerned celebrity gives mindless opinion without understanding or knowledge on a subject on any media platform and it can have seriuos repercussions on our country's official stand on any geopolitical issues. After all, we consumers buy the products and thereby the said celebrity earns a handsome amount from our spending.
I have always liked Mr Ranganathan, but he was wrong when he said migrants will not be allowed to go to Andra or the South, for that matter. People who are coming from outside don't generally give 2 cents about the culture of the land. This is a major issue with cities. Bengaluru now has more than 55% of its population from outside, people who were not born there, and clearly, the monuments are buried, and no one is bothered about them. Until and unless people feel it's their land, they will not make the effort to retain it, forget about making it better. We are already losing a lot to Western culture.
same case can be made for all metropolitan cities, including Delhi. If you wanna do business with other states, you gotta allow migrants from outside. Being a part of this country you'll have to allow intermingling of cultures although rampant demographic change within the state could be restricted
Don't be a crybaby. Metropolitan cities generally don't have their unique cultures. In Mumbai everyone speaks hindi not marathi. In cities only money matters
@@Rakeshsharma32q Thats the point it's cultural assassination of mumbai. Even after all that the remaining population of marathi people tries to keep the culture alive. The usual cabal in action... keep rocking people
Happy Deepawali
Finally finished watching in 4 sittings. But I'm deeply offended that you haven't discussed one thing about the US elections, considering the fact that the US is the birth place of your time "Samosa Caucus"😢
- A humble Texan!
What to discuss in US elections, Indian Americans lose their brain after getting green cards. They'll mistake on Kamal vs Kamala
Already here .. happy deepawali to ani family and all of you!!
Smita, you missed batenge to katenge was targeted towards Rahul Gandhi, who is dividing Hindus on caste lines.
The first time Tahseen appeared in balance and sensible spokesperson here as a contrast to the TV debate. 👍👍
Anyday I prefer his brother who is politically more sensible
but the rest didnt. theyre still biased.
@@harveyspecter1855 yea that's why Tehseen blatantly lied about Tanzania
yes , i liked how he talked , 1 of the five sensible people from congress
Beautiful Smita ji for the Samosa caucus. Entertaining yet informative. Though I didn’t understand in full yet I listen n watch. It gives me knowledge in many aspect. A treat to watch your podcast always. Cheers
Nehru thought Chou En Lai as brother till he kicked on Nehru's behind. Poonawala has no right to speak since Nehru has already acceded 34,000 sq km of Aksai Chin in 1957.
Anand Ranganathan is always a pleasure to watch❤❤rather listen
Gentleman and Smitha ji,
It is not so easy to make a decision of retirement from your profession. You can do it only if you have a strong mind. I made the decision to quit my profession when i just reached the peak of my profession(am 1st batch software postgraduate in engineering) at the age of 52. It has been 18 years since. I am very happy all the way. But had a tough 6 months to make the decision.
I'm a little surprised nobody came up with a new name for the Congress spokesperson formerly known as Supriya Srinate.
I'm proposing "Sandasi Jalebi".
She is being called Jalebi bai by many people but no one from the other party took this opportunity.
That Jab from Sushant to Tehseen was brutal 😂
Plz mention the time
As an armed forces officer I can tell that these "senior fellows" have a very shallow understanding about the structure and organization of our services. I could spot atleast two glaring factual errors in mere 5 minutes span. So take the discussion with a pinch of salt.
jai hind sir and can you point out for younger audience with less knowledge about those factual errors
We sure hope these guys are wrong 🤞 We would like to continue to believe theres no compromise to the invincibility of our safekeepers.
This is the only show which I like first and then watch, love the team, love the discussion and love the environment.
1:34:00 I understood full Tamil even though being a Marathi man🎉🎉
4.0 -Bahut mja aane wala hi 😂😂😂😂
Thank you Smita for bringing this irreverent bunch of ppl together! Love it the way they call a spade a spade
Irrelevant? How?
@SamikshaGoyal-g4k please read carefully
@@shobhanavijaykumar8420 Ohhh sorry. My bad 😅
It can be so easily mistaken as irrelevant haha.. I read it as irrelevant in the beginning as well. Funny how our brain works sometimes
BJP has to come on "Jiska saath uska vikaas" track as soon as possible and believe in their own cadre.
Happy Deepavali to all 💐
Keep rocking ANI team 🙏
Scary,.....
Very true
Rajnath singh is being Ninda turtle...
Rajnath singh did kadi ninda and slept
People outside of defence believe every propaganda these podcasts share…… request you to yourself go through the whole deal and get the perspective. I’m not buying a bunch of blabbers on national security when a lot of things the set of 4 present say turn out to be straight out lies. Also criticism is good but should not be at the cost of using derogatory language about the forces ever. It is not open mindedness it is outright disrespectful. Criticism should be there and any veteran would tell there are problems but eventually a lot is being looked upon. Good luck listening to non veterans on operational tactics as well.
So you’re a defence expert now?!
Happy Deepavali everyone~♥
*WHO LOVES ABHIJIT* 😂😂✌✌✌🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳❤❤❤
These people just increase my vocabulary in the best way possible! Thanks Smita for this podcast..❤❤
Please guys keep doing this more often.
I was eagerly awaiting for you people coming together and doing this.
Thank you !
On migration, Sushant ji is point of view is correct..he is so true.
I love how Abhijit ji 's point of view is custructively different...when others are thinking a certain direction..he is simply hookum ka ikka.
Forget horror movies on Netflix on Halloween. It can't beat watching Mrs Prakash ,Mitra, and Ranganathan together on a platform!😂
I just can’t believe I spent 3 hrs; the time flew and I can watch them for another 3 more hours! Thank you, Smitaji! ❤
'ഴ' (zha) is there in Malayalam as well. As in മഴ(Rain), പുഴ(river),പഴം(Fruit/Banana).... 1:36:00
AR is just beautiful, thoughtful & graceful.🙏
Karna was born with kavach kundals, Kejri was born with muffler and Anad Rangnathan with coat and tie. 😂😀😀
My god Smita is unbearable, the moment when we were getting good banter she interrupts with the worst points ever
But sadly, He will suffer.
This is great stuff. Wish prime time debates were as informative and less noisy. Mutual respect without compromise on your stand with an ability to listen to the other side. Slightly elite / ivory towerish, Yet they do touch key points that should be covered even for the less informed.
Please dont interrupt each other. It makes it difficult to listen.
Samosa caucus has become the most awaited podcast for me.
This gatherings is one the best ever you can found in the net. Though don't like poonawala at all.
Waiting for the next.
Subh deepawali to all of you❤❤❤
I love to listen Mr. Ranganathan as I find him standing by the truth, real facts but now I am in hurry but keeping it to watch later.
Most awaited episode 😂
Always look forward to these guys grouping again! ❤
You have to thank Chandrababu Naidu for the Hyderabad development and civic infra.
Smita ma’am can’t stop smiling…….❤
41:00 Wanted to know if this "Yadav" character was fall guy or what, instead it devolved into NOTHING, with all the bickering & what not! JEEZZZ!! And then Smita shouting over the top instead of controlling & veering the debate & coming back to the FREAKING TOPIC!!!!
Wonderful, love this caucus!!!
The problem with Andhra & Telangana villages all the young are moving to US, EU, UK, CAN & to Indian cities of Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi & the villages are empty and locked houses. Its going to be a big problem in India.
True
OMG !!! The acting is a hit.
Tehseen is the most polite of this energetic bunch. I enjoy hearing everyone's views. I think it would be super fun if you could include someone from a different socioeconomic segment. Everyone in this room lives in a privileged bubble.😊
It was kind of cool that you didn't even get into the US elections.
I can't wait for the next salaahd caucus.
Your viewers wish for 2024:
1. Bi-monthly salaahd caucus
2. Add one new / interesting guest speaker/ character each time from lower middle class upwardly mobile or poor segment.
3. Have a money box, everytime anyone interrupts they've to drop inr 1000 into this box.
Mam you don't need to explain to the trolls
Love the food, love people talking over each other, love your anchoring when you interrupt people.
This is exactly the content I oay my internet bill for to see! Have been a fan of the Samosa Caucus since it started! Please keep continuing it Smita ji!
Tahseen just being like his co-religionist. Lets hope that Hindus remember that there few snakes and a lot more grass to hide those snakes.
You can find skilled workers from U.P or Bihar in tier 2 or tier 3 cities in Telangana atleast mainly as carpenters and construction workers, not much but they are definitely there. Though there is not much impact they have on the culture in tier2 or tier3 cities.
I have added this as just for information purpose with no other extra meaning
The intelligentsia..... This group is awesome.
Anand Ranganathan so on points ❤ Abhijeet Ayer is just trying to camouflaged where conversation is tilted!
2:12:18 Handing out their locations to Uber is equivalent to handing out their locations to CIA. What’re they even thinking?
Watching the episode as I eagerly awaited for it. Almost through half of it, as always enjoyed the free flowing conversations, what I am not liking is the host speaking the most.. want to hear Dr Anand and others more
Please do not change the format. It should be with samosa and deserts, we all love when Abhijit munches on it and that's the only time others get to talk 😂.
Superb intro! IYM is the best! Kudos to Smita Ji and all the other panellists. Super informative and truly valuable podcast to listen to.
This was a banger!!!! Pls never stop thiss series°❤
As always, this session did keep upto its characteristics of "Nirbhejaal Aaddaa". Thank you Smitajee for another gem of a podcast.🙏
I would just like to say for a common Indian like me, it becomes imperative to boycott a product endorsed by a certain celebrity when the concerned celebrity gives mindless opinion without understanding or knowledge on a subject on any media platform and it can have seriuos repercussions on our country's official stand on any geopolitical issues. After all, we consumers buy the products and thereby the said celebrity earns a handsome amount from our spending.
Diwali gift for us viewers ❤
I really like listening to Sushant Sir, relate most with his views. Thanks for this pod, ANI
And now it's happening to Pune which is called as cultural capital of maharashtra due to it's history.
People don't hate immigrants, people hate immigrants who don't even try to keep the local culture alive.
@@prathameshkamble3349 😂🤣 you expect immigrants to keep local culture alive? Bruh seriously? Immigrants come to earn money. They don't give a &hit about your culture.
It feels good to see that the left centre and right are together having fun and not just shouting at each other the actual Indian or Hindu way our cultural way ❤ .
3:00:35 This is why i love AIM 😂
He is a cheeky sweetheart
Intellectually stimulating discussion, free expression of perspectives, respectful of each other and having fun whilst doing it. It happens only in India!
Must appreciate Tehseen's courage ...how does his bit mix in this salad
Last 30 min were fantastic.
Very informal and friendly conversation.
❤
Love the podcast
The best show in the internet right now for me. Thankyou for your logical conversations with a nationalistic approach without any bias. I'm an 27M from tier 2 city from Karnataka you guys don't even know how much you are helping me to form a personality of my own who has no experiences of any first hand conversations like you guys do in this show. It's inspiring just to see you guys speak.
Blockbuster intro, best till date for any Indian podcast
😂
Happy Diwali
This is getting really good...😂
Smita ji, great concept in presenting current affairs. I wish Samosa caucus all the best. This is truly a benchmark in Indian journalism. Well done 🎉🎉
