Wow great job on the ECU flash! Props to the owner putting on his own touch to the CBR1000. Bike sounds sick with the Brocks!
Alot less power than others but look how flat the power is towards the top.
I love how the comment section is so fixated on the final number. Those are solid respectable numbers and I can only imagine it is a very user friendly powerband. Applicable power is key!
Noone considering power to weight ratio. Which is why I been shittin on alot bikes

Honda never did have the most HP bikes but they sure are silky smooth machines to ride.

Chris hall did mine.same bike.got me 172 hp.except I did not buy aftermarket headers,I simply drilled and knocked out cat internals.saved a $1000 and as for slip on,hot bodies or a knock off I believe.
Can you give more details on how you did this? I notice the header has a slight bend as it comes towards where the muffler slips on.
I have removed the baffle from my M4, removed the inserts in my intake ducts, and performed pair valve delete. I want to remove the cat before I sent it to dyne before spring
I removed headers from bike,took a corded drill with long paddle but and chewed the honey comb.turning it upside down from time to time to hang out what I broke up.i left the exhaust servo cable intact,just wrapped it up under seat and left servo motor and plug aswell,so no servo buddy needed. Removed 30 percent air ram block.i put what I think was a knock off of a hot bodies slip on,got it used so idk.i had it flashed and tuned.but I'm looking to get an Austin racing slip on and see what it does.i don't see getting much over 175 hp on these but they are super light comparably.maybe shorter velocity stacks will add a lil.

All I did was yoshi slip hollow cat air filter n block off plates I got 171
Does the ecu compensate for the ram air intake cuz dyno air intake pressure will be lower than high speed air ramming into the airbox.

Why is the CBR so down on power when compared to the rest of the liter bikes? I don’t think velocity stacks will gain you an extra 15hp, right?
Velocity stacks will gain you 3 to 5 but the big thing about velocity stacks is you get the power a bit earlier and it holds power longer up at the top so it’s a must in my opinion.
I just did one last week and I have the DYNO JET run file front of me, 174 @12.200 full toce. 2017. I love this bike, quick shifter.

Have an 04 CBR 1000rr, 33,000 miles. All stock with a yoshi slip on. I commute to work and weekend warrior ride, should i leave as is or get the ecu flashed? Power command? Recommendations please?

Any idea why cbr horsepower so low? Compare to gixxer, R1 and zx10r.. cbr is really low.
That’s just how Honda does it
because honda is not into horse power war, they're all about controllability, power to weight ratio and balance, but if you really want a honda with 200hp go with the 2020 fireblade RR-R SP.

If I mailed you my ecu, how would you get the #s right without having my bike there physically? Cause I don’t believe you’ve flashed/ tuned a bike with my mods (2bros slip on + BMC air filter) 2015 HONDA CBR1000RR.

Chris, you just flashed my ecu for a full exhaust and I'm wondering if the flash would get rid of the check engine light bc of the o2 sensor removal. I haven't got it put together yet and was wanting to know before I installed it incase I need to take the ecu somewhere to get the light fixed
Yes, the flash should get rid of the light for the o2 sensor. The check engine light will still work for any other issues that may arise.

You can do that yourself with Tune ECU. Guaranteed there's a map out there for the Daytona cams

What purpose does the gold foil serve?
To keep the fuel tank/air box from over heating. Boiling fuel is not good! Sitting in traffic at 90+ ambient temps may do this.

yeah they don't make big numbers on the top end , the power from 0-150 ish is killer , that's where most of us street race anyways

Low and mid range is ugly, thats what most people don't get street racing most of the time os from 40-140ish not 200mph
