    I love how Emppu just sits around in the background, also trying to lighten the mood. Sad but great behind the scenes.

    • @killer92173

      M. I think Marcello ruined everything for them. if you read the open letter that ultimately dismisses Tarja, they shift the blame on Marcello, and that her behavior towards the band was becoming unacceptable. Marcello said that Tuomas was a bit jealous when he and Tarja got married, and Marcello and Tuomas really didn't get along very well. Tarja was victim of Marcello's manipulation, and the blame is on him.

    They really edited this to make Tuomas look like he was such a tortured soul and had no other choice.
    It's not like they didn't decide to fire her 6 months before this same damn concert, and were lying to her face every day. Thank God for Marcelo to take her away from that rat's nest. Grown up men, talk face to face and part ways maturely.
    Makes me think they were jealous and mad that Tarja wanted to leave, and needed to ruin her reputation any way possible.
    I am not even going into all the disgusting jokes they make behind her back. Timo their beloved technician left with her too, and he still works for her. It seems like she was not the Diva they wanted her to be. Just like all these musicians that she worked with... How sad, after all these years and there's still so many falling for that cowardly written plot.

    • @timomastosalo
      @timomastosalo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Please - don't open old wounds. Besides there are always two parties in relationships that break. It's not good to chose one side as an outsider not knowing nearly enough. I've seen so many corresponding comments that blame on the opposite end of this rope the fans pull, and then this your end of it. Will it never end? Always somebody coming who has the final wisdom over it, right, eh?
      I won't say the guys were innocnet, nor can I say she and her husband were. Of course they should have settled their differences - but since they failed, it involves both parties. Outsiders usually mix it up even more, not knowing all the details.
      Nowadays they are in talking terms. Why don't we leave it at that? It happened more than a decade ago.

    • @Rosannasfriend
      @Rosannasfriend 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      There is some hypocrisy on the bands part, that much I can see. And this whole idea of casting the blame in an open letter it really doesn't make them look good to me at all.

    • @LigeiaNoire
      @LigeiaNoire 4 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      @@timomastosalo No, they are not in talking terms, she shared the stage with Marco once and that was it.
      I am definitely taking sides because there are facts here to back this very well crafted plot. SHE wanted to leave, she told them that a year in advance, face to face!
      From the moment that they did not take that into account, and decided to wait 6 months and then fire her with a very biased open letter, that almost ruined her reputation, tells a lot of what their morals are.
      The whole scandal made them rich, and it was what launched them into the popularity they have now.
      It was a very, very, very low blow. This is all in their bio and subsequent interviews.
      She told them she wanted to leave, and they agreed with her terms of another album and tour, and then booom, they fired her anyway.
      They preferred to film this DVD, which THEY edited, of course. It makes her look like she is never there or is cold, and Tuomas like Mother Theresa, all suffering and tortured.
      However, he was strong enough to fire her via a smear campaign to profit from her departure.
      Instead of just letting her go when she told them she wanted to leave, or at least sit down and fire her right there.
      Anette said it herself in a talk show that they did not talk to her, they gave her written complaints.
      She said it herself, that she did not want to be on the Made in Hong Kong DVD, because she was afraid they would paint her like the bad guy, just like they did with Tarja. These are very important words from someone that was there for years, that lived and toured with them. Not from a random fan on TH-cam.
      As you can see, these are knows facts, not fabrications. Therefore, pardon me, if I am taking Tarja's side because, for as much of a diva she could have been, she behaved like the mature and honest person in the bunch by being upfront.
      You don't like her and her manager? You think they only care about money?
      Arrange a meeting, and tell them to be gone. Don't hide under your fucking letters and let your singer and friend clueless for half a year!
      Don't just go onto the last show like all was agreed with her before the tour commenced, to then pull the rug from under her feet.
      Tarja put her sweat and tears on that stage, with the flu, to then be handed a letter and told to open it on the next day. A letter that everyone online was reading already.
      No wonder, EOAE and DPP sold like hot cakes.
      So fucking disgusting.

      @@LigeiaNoire OK seems like you've find more details about it. good thing I don't have more invested in Nightwish, neither in Tarja. assuming what you say os true - which I don't go denying, it would sadly not surprise me. I'm careful with the Metal scene - not saying they all do it, but for those who do this, well, it's like a law of nature: courting with the darkness might actually give you what you are courting: gifts from the dark side. Like lying, cheating, hypocricy, greed etc. Pride is usually the first very evident emotion.
      Well, I won't say other music industry doesn't give these lures, nor other walks of life - pop culture often seems to mix all the fluids in the same cup - 'No Limits'. And it's not strange or new if money starts all that evil.
      Thanks for the heads up, and better future for you, more lively surprises.
