I had a long day going to the Dr out of town. Laura's enthusiasm with this unboxing was full of positive energy I needed right now. Excellent camera work Aaron always. I was thrilled about the variety of cactus but Laura's enthusiasm was worth watching also.
What an awesome video. Your enthusiasm for the new succulents is CONTAGIOUS! MCG has always been my 'Go-To' for really healthy succulents and they always arrive both timely and in excellent shape. Since I started growing/propagating/enjoying succulents over the last 2 year, I've now got my grand-children growing their own and give LOTS to friends and neighbors. Thank you for sharing the un-boxing... was just FUN!!!
I don't look at house plants very often so it is nice to be able to sit and enjoy you going through all these plants i otherwise wouldn't see. Very nice of them to send you so many.☺

Anyone else's dog perk their head up when Laura started using the squeezy tool to dust off the echevarias?? Mine looked up at me like "WHAT IS THAT!?" Reminded me of the toys with the silent squeakers that apparently only dogs can hear! Too cute!

So interesting to see all the varieties. I never knew much about succulents before watching some of your videos. Love it when you incorporate them into a fairy garden you have created. I love all the little practical gadgets you have for your plants. The little handheld air blower and the little cosmetic brush to clean leaves are clever uses of everyday products! 😆
I had to laugh at the "air blower". When my kids were babies, the hospital gave me one, aka the snot-sucker!🤧

We just received 40cm of snow here in Southern Ontario, Canada. I’m sitting here with a coffee by the fireplace watching my favourite gal bring me some plant Joy. I’m new to succulents with not that much success. Some of mine will grow tall and get leggy, why does that happen? Thank you, love your channel - Lori
Searching for light!
Hello neighbour, I’m in southern Ontario as well and I’m just learning how to better care for my succulents. I have a great sunroom addition with south facing floor-to-ceiling wraparound windows that bring in way brighter light than any home I’ve ever lived in (to the point where it burns the leaves of many tropicals, I’ve had to move them all back) and I STILL get leggy echeveria. They still reach for even more sun.
I think without a grow light set up, it’s tough in our neck of the woods, unfortunately. Although I’m sure there are better succulent parents than me who can offer advice.
@@persephonespomegranate as far as I understood the succulents from watching Laura (I'm not an expert) it's the way they are and you just have to cut them back to get the tight plant. You can use the cuttings to root them. I guess they require the maintenance in that way.

OK--I have to admit...I've never really though much about succulents until I started watching your channel. This has made me want to learn and try it out. It is a great way to focus on the inside during winter months. (Especially like the ric-rac plant!) 😬But these names--it's like pronouncing bible names in Sunday school class! Thanks for opening up this world to us!

Fyi: if u order from mountain crest and live in the midwest wheres its cold u have to buy heat packs separately they are not included. I ordered some plants which sadly were dead when i received them. Other places like bloomscape include heat packs with their orders no extra charge.

Looking forward to watching more succulent projects, and I’d also love to watch a video of Laura organizing all those individual succulents into trays/pots for care in the meantime. I receive a lot of small succulents in the mail and would love some inspiration for potting them up to “store” until it’s project time.

Hey Laura! I just love your videos and recently I’ve been taking cuttings of some of my succulents. I was just wondering with all your new plants will you revamp the bunny topiary? I always thought it looked so great in your garden, and brought interesting structure. Might be something you could have and leave inside with the Hartley or the new studio. Erin is right it was a year ago. I have always been afraid of succulents cause they look so delicate but I think I will purchase some. The ones at the retail store don't are not taken care off.
I only grow a few succulents, but Mountain Crest is a great source. Their packaging is excellent and the plants are really nice.

While I didn’t go out and order all the pretty succulents after seeing this video. I did, due to living in Australia, remember to place my bulb order for this seasons planting. Here’s hoping the 800 bulbs I order is enough 😅.

I was so impressed by there packaging that I felt safe to order my own... sadly they were not nearly as well packed in my package. Most of the small square pots were packaged rolled up in paper bags which meant dirt everywhere. The box had packing peanuts instead of the shredded paper so I think a lot more dirt fell out of those not in paper bags.

Last year was my first time actually caring about gardens and my front yard. I MUST SAY LAURA YOU CHANGE MY LIFE COMPLETELY . i went from a empty, dry and death front yard to a full landscape design created by me. i have sooo many plants,bulbs, perennials, etc. and now this video got my new succulents order. ALL THIS WITHIN A YEAR . i literary wake up every morning grab my coffee watch your morning video and start my day with great inspiration and motivation..
What beautiful succulents. String of hearts and string of turtles are on my plant wish list. My whale tale got shipped just as the temps took a major drop. I think it's just slowly dying 😕. So another one of those may soon be on my wish list as well.

Maybe it's time to try...lol I live in Northeastern California and it's hard to order online because lots of companies are not allowed to ship here. Awesome haul! Can you talk about air plant care? Mine always get brown leaves at the bottom, big or small. I let them sit in water occasionally, but doesn't matter if I do it less or more, they still decline. Thank you!

Really great unboxing! I have always enjoyed succulents but this gave me a lot that I wasn’t familiar with. Just wondering how do you root the zigzag cuttings? I am just starting to do some cuttings from some of my leggy succulents . Will be watching to see your projects. I have been watching almost from the very beginning when we retired to Florida and didn’t know anyone Even though the climate is so different I have learned so much. Thank you oth for being such a blessing to us.

Hi Laura! I've never had much luck with keeping succulents alive (what does that say about my plant growing abilities?!?) ... But I wondered if you have any tips for succulents... Particularly when you put them in group s together...like are there types that go/grow better together?
Every time I see you do a succulent project, I buy them and they die.🥺☹️ No idea what I’m doing wrong. Live in the South, so l’m thinking too much water. I think I’ll try it as a houseplant. Ha!

I never knew there were so many different succulents! Goodness, those are some pretty ones! I have a very narrow window sill above my kitchen sink that faces south, I think I might try some…just have to find the right container for them. Thank you Laura for inspiring me to try something new!
