Yesterday I was taking about Laura at the dinner table and my daughter said “who is Laura?” The rest of the table looked over at her shocked and I asked “do you even know me?” My son said that is the Garden Answer lady. My daughter then said oh you were talking like you actually know her. I said “I do, I have coffee with her every morning”Teenagers these days! Lol! Thanks for hanging out with me over coffee every day Laura!

I have been watching for years. My husband and I would watch in the mornings and become motivated. He passed away in September and I can look around my home and yard and see our Laura -inspired projects. He even built me a greenhouse from old windows. ❤️ thank you

AMAZING!!! I sent my daughter, who lives in Ontario, your IG announcement on this shipment. This is we’re she chose to come for her date with her fella!! They had a blast!! And now next weeks date is repotting the plants they got!!. I can’t wait for the outside garden shipments!!!

Watching this morning's post, I say to my husband, 'I wish I was 40 years younger and just picking what I want to do with my life - I would be in the plant business somehow!' This unboxing was beautiful and so fulfilling! Can't wait to get to my local nursery to peruse what they have!!
I did reevaluate my career earlier and found I would need a hort degree to really get serious and I had no desire to own my own company. It was still the good ole boy days back then. I am glad I kept it as a hobby. I had the best of both worlds.

I used to unbox loads of houseplants just like this when I worked at the now defunct Frank's Nursery as the houseplant specialist! Brings back great memories! It was always exciting to see what was in the boxes even though I did the ordering. And yes, the watering of everything was a neverending task!

Thank you for always inviting us in and making us part of the little things. This looks and feels like such an inspiring and inviting place to work or even walk through. Happy birthday, Stacy! I met her last month when my mom and I drove up to Andrew’s, for my bucket list trip to go Antiquing and see the garden center. She was so warm and gracious and we had a nice time chatting with her! I’m in my late 30s and purchased my first 2 houseplants from Andrew’s. Thanks to all your knowledge- they are still alive today over a month later. Win!

I loved this video and so did my husband. He laments sometimes because there are so many pretty garden accessories in the states that are unavailable where we live. For me, the beauty of seeing all these boxes opened was how you could feel the burst of life popping out of each box. And how you've got them all grouped together and lined up like little families. Thanks so much, fun indeed.

So enjoyed this peek behind the garden center curtain! Just wondering if your parents’ garden center offers a “potting up” station or service where customers can purchase containers and plants and have them ready to go? I’ve been to a couple garden centers that do this and it is so convenient!

Watching this video thinking, when I worked (I'm retired now) I loved my job, but for heaven's sake, this family LOVES theirs! So much genuine excitement! It's really amazing! Always humble, always grateful, always teaching - so refreshing! No wonder this channel sky-rocketed in popularity. I wish even half of us could be this excited about our work!

Wow, so exciting to plant lovers! I worked at a nursery for a number of summers and remember the thrill of the truck arriving with hundreds of gems. Our challenge was to take the plants from the air-conditioned truck that had come from CA to hot, dry Denver, working fast to water and shade them before they went down. No time to fawn over individual plants but that didn’t stop a bunch of beauties from going home with workers! Few people realize how hard the work is at garden centers.
Oh my! It is truly a revelation and amazing how much work goes into getting the plants ready to be sold in a nursery!
I get how exciting it is to unbox all the new plants and how exhausting it is to display them all. Kudos to all of you- just stunning!
I am so glad you will be helping down at the garden center. When I was younger I always wanted to work at a garden store. There is just something about all the plants and flowers that can turn a bad day into a great day just looking at all the beauty and possibilities. Absolutely gorgeous!!!! Anyone else trying to quickly play “name that plant” while she ran through the store? Plants are the only thing helping me deal with my fast paced and stressful job. What makes this video so touching for me is remembering Laura's anecdote from the piano video: 'Dad worked at the center but wasn't an owner when I was a kid and he would do side hustles to pay for our music lessons. Our parents made a lot of sacrifices...' (I've paraphrased, ofc) To fast-forward & see you all smiling, laughing, working together--not to mention with the next generation embodied by the ever delightful Benjamin on hand--is really heartwarming.

I found as a garden centre customer that shopping in Jan or Feb when it’s so cold outside and snowy that there’s a feeling of euphoria when I enter the greenhouses and feel the moist warm air and smell the greenery. It’s contagious amongst the shoppers.

I wish we all had a garden center like the one you run. It's so pretty and such an inviting atmosphere. The people of Ontario are so fortunate. My local garden center should be paying you a % of their profit because I spend way more money with them today than I did before I watched your channel.

I miss getting a load of plants at our garden centre. We would slug like crazy because the driver would need the racks back. Sometimes he could let us keep a few until his next delivery and pick them up then. Laura, you are like a kid in a candy store. So cute.
