Hello from Minnesota. I am a mom of a 25 year old son and a 21 year old daughter who has special needs. She requires 24/7 care we have LPN and RN care but on nights that we don't have staff on the overnights I have a crafting area across from her bedroom that I spend time in. With a TV to keep me company while I am crafting. I love your space that you have to be creative. Also your storage solutions gave me great ideas, I didn't realize Micheals had so much to offer I know I will be taking a trip there. Thank you for sharing.

I think what I like most about this video is the genuineness of your space: while we all love to have a designated room or studio .. the reality is MANY OF US DO NOT... so to see a YTuber as popular as you show a simple small but TOTALLY EFFECT work space is great! Grateful for you as I too have a Son who's 5 1/2 years old and has Autism. I am a SAHM as well and feel blessed to be able to give AJ my all. It's just the 2 of us so I am so happy to give my undivided attention! I also watercolor out of my dining room so cheers to US Moms making smaller spaces work!

It's so great seeing someone else who uses the breakfast room of their home for a craft room! I've considered moving upstairs to the rarely-used guest room, but downstairs is where life happens, and I'm pretty sure moving upstairs would mean I don't create as often. It's actually a great location. I'm downstairs with my family, I can easily make things while waiting on things in the oven or on the stove, it has a tile floor for easy clean-up, and it's mere steps from my kitchen sink. Thankfully, it's tucked away in the back of the house, so it's not an area that's on display when people come over. You know, back when we could have people over.
I dont know why I am just watching your craft room tour- but love your space! Its always fun to see how others craft in the space they have! Thanks for sharing!! Happy holidays!!!!

I kept waiting and waiting to see how you store your Copic markers, mine are the new kids in the room in my crafts space, I had wanted them for so long but never really was sure where to start so I just kept putting off taking the plunge till finally I just jumped but now I have the start of my Copic collection but have yet to come up with a good storage system for me. I had just been thinking about one of those rolling carts but was then "stuck" on what to do with them once I got the cart . . . enter Mindy Eggen and her awesome solution, THANK YOU !!! You've inspired me not only with your creativity & talent in the crafting world but also in/with storage solutions. Blessings to you, while your creativity corner might not be a massive huge room it's filled with lots of product, much creativity, lots of heart and is very functional and well sorted.
I'm so glad you found some of the storage solutions helpful! I struggled over the storage of my copics as well. They ended up always taking up so much space. This new way has been the best one by far in my little crafty corner.

My main one and when my son moved out I took over his bedroom. I call it my overflow craft room. I know, sad. I have stuff in there that I don’t use on a regular basis. I loved seeing your craft room. I share mine with my husband, so I know what a small space is like. But he built me some shelves for my markers and ink pads which I have on my desk space and go up the wall. I use a dresser for my stamps and envelopes. I have a Walmart shelving unit that I use for most of my dies and cardstock. I could go on but that's alot of it and a rolling cart next to my chair for everytime you craft items. Again thanks for sharing and giving us all some more ideas.

My son Daulton is 21 and was diagnosed at 13 months old with autism. I stayed at home because he needed consistent supervision and had in home therapy five days a week. I completely understand the need to be readily available. I am super happy that you found a way to create.

Great tour! I love the idea of you being able to be close to your family while working on your projects! To me, the kitchen is the best place in the home & you have just taken it to a new level. I love that you did that to be available to your son, what a great mom! I am the same as you...I have to clean up after every project!! I am always on the lookout for how others store their supplies and for what works well for them, hoping to be able to incorporate ideas into my own space. I kept waiting and waiting to see how you store your Copic markers, mine are the new kids in the room in my crafts space, I had wanted them for so long but never really was sure where to start so I just kept putting off taking the plunge till finally I just jumped but now I have the start of my Copic collection but have yet to come up with a good storage system for me. I had just been thinking about one of those rolling carts but was then "stuck" on what to do with them once I got the cart . . . enter Mindy Eggen and her awesome solution, THANK YOU !!! You've inspired me not only with your creativity & talent in the crafting world but also in/with storage solutions. Blessings to you, while your creativity corner might not be a massive huge room it's filled with lots of product, much creativity, lots of heart and is very functional and well sorted.
I'm so glad you found some of the storage solutions helpful! I struggled over the storage of my copics as well. They ended up always taking up so much space. This new way has been the best one by far in my little crafty corner.

I am so impressed with how much you have in such a small space. You have everything organized so well. My craft room needs to be redone so bad. I actually have two. My main one and when my son moved out I took over his bedroom. I call it my overflow craft room. I know, sad. I have stuff in there that I don’t use on a regular basis. I think your craft area in the kitchen is awesome.

I loved seeing your craft room. I share mine with my husband, so I know what a small space is like. But he built me some shelves for my markers and ink pads which I have on my desk space and go up the wall. I use a dresser for my stamps and envelopes. I have a Walmart shelving unit that I use for most of my dies and cardstock. I could go on but that's alot of it and a rolling cart next to my chair for everytime you craft items. Again thanks for sharing and giving us all some more ideas.

My son Daulton is 21 and was diagnosed at 13 months old with autism. I stayed at home because he needed consistent supervision and had in home therapy five days a week. I completely understand the need to be readily available. I am super happy that you found a way to create.
