Wow! I need to do this also! Years accumulating stuff! I am a card maker, I m Am now at the clean and simple stage. Need to get rid of things I haven’t used in years! Thank you for the inspiration.
The guilt of my craft "hoard" has just incapacitated me. I never dreamed there were so many in similar situation. Thank you for sharing your journey through. I actually feel hope for getting through mine👍🙏💕
I inherited a bunch of sewing tools/notions from both of my grandmothers, with whom I was very close, when they passed. They were both seamstresses and had some interesting tools from "back in the day". I created a couple of shadow boxes with some vintage fabric at the back and made a collage of sorts with some old pattern pieces and then placed some different tools and notions (i.e. stork scissors, needles/cases, wooden spools of thread, scalloped seam markers, etc.) in the foreground. They turned out beautiful and I get to see them every day and remember when they each took a turn at teaching me to sew through the years.
Hi Sher, I just wanted to say I identify with you on so many levels on hoarding craft supplies for various reasons. I have thousands (true) that I have from being a former store owner and besides that a life-long crafter. I am slowing sifting through things little by little, throwing, creating donate and sell bins and trying to select a very limited KEEP bin. I get very emotional too as so many things I have relate to my dad, who made everything I needed from fixtures to shelving, to workshop projects... I miss him so much. But my husband and I are now about to retire and we need to downsize from a 5 bedroom home to maybe a 2 one whete I hope to have enough room for a den or something for my hobbies.the struggle is real! But it has also made me feel extremely shameful for the amount of craft supplies I have sitting in a room not being used. No one should have this much "stuff" in their house, let alone a room or 2. I'm do glad I ran across your video and your journey to declutter and learn to let go of things with emotional attachments. THANK YOU for being real and honest with your viewers❤
Awwww thank you for your kind words! I wish you luck in your downsizing task! It sure does feel good once it’s all done and you know the things you let go of are in the hands of others that can and will enjoy them and are no longer weighing you emotionally down! ❤️
I lost my mom in April, so I know somewhat how you feel. I left all my mom's craft stuff, even things I made for a craft room setup for her. I did take her container of crocheted snowflakes she was in the process of creating. I can feel your love and sadness for your loss. I don't want to leave all my crafts for someone to have to figure out. I also hoard crafts stuff. I have tried many crafting hobbies. Some I still love, but now I am sewing a lot again, so my craft stuff sits more than not. I also watercolor and want to get better and do more. But I have so much attachment to my stamps, stickers and other paper crafting supplies, they are all in the original cases and many work together. I have tried to sell them and wind up buying them back. I am motivated very much by your tenacity and creative work to find homes for your craft items. I took all the furniture out of one of my spare bedrooms and created a lot of great storage, on the walls and in those wonderful 12 x 12 file drawers and boxes Michaels sells. That space helps me to use my crafting things without messing up my sewing room. Great job purging. I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. I certainly know how difficult parting with anything that was hers can be. Thanks for sharing.
I do love watercolor painting, I have done tole, but I not for years, I also love to make my own cards and decorate gift bags. I have become a seasoned patternmaker, and expert seamstress. I have my own bra making classes which I am closing due to lack of interest. But I love creating all things and trying new things. Time and energy are both in very short supply.
Wow! Sher, you did such a great job! I shed a few tears with you. I’m so sorry for the loss of your Mom! I’m headed in to my craft room to do a massive purge. I just keep buying more. Most of my stuff has never been used. It’s ridiculous. I have too many choices and I get up and just walk out. It’s sad. I would rather have someone enjoy the stuff I don’t use. You should be so proud of yourself. Be well. Enjoy your new space😻
Kelly Jo you just summed up exactly how I was feeling every time I looked at all my crafting stuff! There was so much of it, it overwhelmed me and I didn’t even know what to make with it anymore! So much of what I donated and gave away was brand new and still in their original packages, I kept buying more and more until one day something just clicked in my head and I finally said no more! I haven’t even had the urge to go to Dollar Tree the past few weeks, I don’t want to buy more stuff now because this was such a huge job and I feel like I have wasted so much money! At least I feel good about others getting to use a lot of it! Good luck with the purge and organization of your craft room! 😘
Kelly, l can so relate to your getting more. I have more stuff than Michael's but have stopped ordering from China. I am determined to put my craft room together before l get anything else. If l ever get started, l will not need to get anything. I have everything l will ever need to make anything, l just need to get it organized. Good luck to you.
Oh my, I just found you with this video. I'm crying and don't know if I can watch this one. But I can binge watch everything else!! I love paper crafting, and I crochet. I actually have a shop in which I crochet and make this beanie. I am messaging because I have some of my mom's stuff from when she passed. I'm not there yet. My mom passed in 2016. The one thing I did get was a bag of trash, her paper trash. It is not a nice story, but my sister and sister-in-law took 95% of her crafting stuff and gave it to my nieces. They don't really craft, not like I do. I got trash. I also got her cricut cartridges. I do have a cricut, so that was ok. I've kept the trash, and it shows me how the cancer progressed. Some other miscellaneous things that I have not used. Just can't bring myself to get rid of it. I really understand what it takes and CONGRATULATIONS!!! Thank you for sharing this, I do appreciate it. It will take me days to watch this one, but now I'm onto binge watching the rest while I make a beanie!!
As a fellow craft hoarder, I can tell you that purging what you don;t use every 2 years has worked for me. As a teacher, I can tell you that before/after school programs, Senior centers, nursing homes, Girl Scouts, art teachers are GREAT places to contact...along with homeless or abuse shelters where kids may be. Good luck with your process, emotional and hoarder-wise!
I needed to see this! I don't craft because I have too much as a collector and hoarder of craft items. I have been working on it this summer. I have lots to donate. I have no emotional attachment to anything. I just want to make sure things go to people who will use them because I spent lots on them. I am proud of you for giving away your mom's things. That is hard. My mom passed away 30 yrs ago. I think of her daily and miss her very much. Those feelings don't go away. So give yourself a big hug for a job well done. Thank you for sharing your hard work.
I love to organize my craft area. I cannot create in a mess. You did a wonderful job with this. Your room is very nice and that closet is so great to have. My crafting only extends to paper and fabrics with ephemera, silk flowers, beads, ribbons, and inks, embossing folders and stamps/dies for making cards and journals. I live in a one bedroom condo and half my living room is my craft area so space is at a premium. I use part of my bedroom and bedroom clothes closet as my inventory rooms! I think I have done a phenomenal job of not only getting all my supplies to fit but to make it livable and aesthetically pleasing to look at. I have been reorganizing my craft area for years but finally settled on a plan I like after doing several major purges. That is important to me that my living space doesn’t look like a warehouse but is pretty and neat. Happy crafting in your new well ordered space!
Thank you for this. I'm glad I'm not the only one holding on to my mother's craft supplies into the second decade after losing her. And I love that it's not "pinterest perfect". I've just gone through the halloween things. I'll start another bin soon.
This popped up in my TH-cam suggestions today and it was perfect timing. I can soooo relate! I’ve been buying and hoarding supplies for years and I’ve reached the point where I’m feeling so overwhelmed and weighed down by it all. I have to work in my dining room so I have stuff stored EVERYWHERE! I decide last month that I need to do some major purging in order to be able to organize. I’ve finally found my niche where I know what crafts I enjoy now so that has helped me figure out what I need and what can go. I’m very much into all kinds of paper crafts and have taken some art classes for marker and coloured pencil colouring as well as watercolours and I do that for card making. I could go on and on but in a nutshell I started purging and have donated so much stuff and trashed some other things. I still have a lot to do as I have an Etsy Shop where I sell my crafts now so I’m busy doing Fall and Christmas items right now but I schedule 1 hour everyday for purging. It’s amazing what you can accomplish in just one hour. Anyway, it seems I’m writing a book so I’ll end this by saying thank you for not having the perfect matchy matchy craft room but instead a realistic one that most of us can really relate too. I know your mom would be so happy knowing that you’re finding good homes for her things.
It’s easy to go down the rabbit hole of collecting/needing crafting material if one has a creative mind that is bursting with ideas. It’s so very kind of you to donate your Mom’s collection of supplies to a worthwhile cause, the kids will certainly love it and fun memories will be made for sure. Spreading joy…..❤️
I've volunteered with several organizations that did activities/classes for children and donated supplies are so appreciated! The programs generally have limited to no funding so to receive boxes and boxes of supplies was always amazing!
I've come upon this video at least a year after you posted it, and I want to thank you for it! I'm looking for motivation to purge excess craft supplies in a room that serves as a guest room. Listening to you talk through some of your process was so helpful. I think I'm beginning my craft supplies purge today! I love that your storage isn't "perfect". I actually consider it much better than the expensive systems I see in too many craft room tours. I want to keep my storage of supplies visually interesting (mostly out of sight), and looking just as curated as my supplies are. But purging needs to happen first. Again, your video has been so helpful.
Sher I am sorry for the loss of your mom, I know the pain after I lost my mom, for me it will always be there. I hope you have lots of love and support.
My Mom passed away the end of last November. Both of us have full craft rooms(card making ). I have been slowly bringing stuff home and going thru. I have a lot left. Thankfully I have a couple of friends that I can share with. It has been hard letting go of things but I have started with the duplicates as we had similar tastes. I also have her clothes and the rest of her stuff. Plus things she still had packed up when she remarried and moved in with my step dad. Slowly making progress. Yours turned out great! I am sure it’s a bit of a relief to have it done. ☺️
Thank you giving me a kick in the butt!! I’m going to start Tuesday!! I’ll use the rest of the week getting some containers and then after Labor Day I’ll start!!!!
Very, very nice! I have a craft booth & a few fellow dealers are doing the same thing. One woman cleared out all her yarn. 6 30 gallon garbage bags full of skeins of yarn. 95% brand new. She put it up on our dealer site & within a half hour, another fellow dealer's mom just recently retired, is bored & wants to make blankets. All went to a good home & mom isn't bored anymore. Lol. You did a great job! Have a wonderful day!
It started when I was a kid, buying craft supplies and I never quit. Doing projects with your kids who grow out of it. Now at 65 I mostly make cards, which I donate. Already gave away 5 boxes of stuff and more to go! Great job of purging. It is a relief when there is less.
I just saw this, I was looking for ways to deal with things I have as far as crafting. When I heard you talk about your mother my heart sunk in my chest. I'm so sorry for your loss and I know what it is. I lost my mom years ago and I too have had real issues with all the things I've kept of my mom's. It's so hard to let go, no one can tell you to either. The fact that you are where you are, is something you are getting help with. Your mom can see where you are now. I know my mom can as well, does it stop the hurt and tears?---no. People tell you it gets easier with time---it's all they know to say during a tough time. The truth is, it still really hurts but, you gain acceptance over what you can't change. I'm glad to see how you've done this and prayers to you and your family.
Awwww thank you for all your kind words Janice! I am so sorry for the loss of your mom as well….. life without our mom’s is so hard….. thank goodness for wonderful memories that keeps them with us! Hugs xoxo
You did a wonderful job Sher and I know your mom is proud of you. Your bedroom and your closet looks so pretty now. My wonderful mother passed away almost 11 years ago and I just gave away her jewelry making supplies to a friend. It was hard to do , but I know my friend will enjoy making jewelry. 😥I was crying at the beginning of your video along with you it is hard to let go of the things that belong to our loved ones. My mother-in-law was a China painter for 50 years she was an amazing artist, but we had to get rid of all her porcelain China that still wasn't painted on and China painting paints, brushes. My husband called up a China painting shop that teaches China painting and ask them if they wanted porcelain China and paints , they said yes. We donated thousands of dollars worth of China painting products and they're very excited to get it because they said if a person couldn't afford porcelain China or paints when taking their classes they would just give it to them. When we heard that it made us feel so good and we knew that's what his mom would have wanted🥰. My sister and I used to do craft shows and we ended up with a ton of crafts and seasonal decorations so we called up 3 YMCA's and donated it to them, they have after school arts and crafts and summer camp. What they didn't want we gave to Salvation Army. Now once again I need to tackle my own craft room and I have been staying out of the DT store for several months now😇. Thanks for sharing Sher, so Happy for You.🌴❤🌴❤🌴😘
Awwwww thanks for all you kind words Debbra and for sharing your story with me! ❤️ It sure feels good to know these treasures from our loved ones will get into the hands of people that will enjoy receiving and using them doesn’t it!
OMG! I screamed when you panned around the room and there on the bed is BEAR BEAR. That bear became my daughter’s favorite stuffy 20 years ago. This is the first time I’ve ever seen him anywhere else.
My mom passed away 9 years ago and my grandmother did in '95. I still live in her house which is a generational homestead so I've inherited everything from everyone as an only child. This is so hopeful and although I have donated or thrown away a lot it seems like more accumulates. How does that happen? But I have been crafting and collecting all my life and realized a few years ago I was at saturation point and don't have room to make all the ideas I have. So something has to go. I've never sold on marketplace so I'm going to check into that for sure. Thanks for sharing this. I know it's helped me get going again with what I need to do to start living my own life. I don't want my kids to have to go through everything either. Thanks again.
I can relate! I have so much of my mom’s and gram’s stuff, and my great aunts. I basically inherited a house full of their lives. Most of it is still in my basement. You did an amazing job and I’m sure your mom is proud of you and smiling knowing her collection will be enjoyed again. I’m definitely inspired! ♥️🍁
We retired and moved to a smaller house with no basement. I got rid of so much and gave away all my totes. I have come to think of basements as the devil.....it's just a big hole of deferred decisions. I spent too much of my life cleaning and organizing basements. Now I play in my garden instead.
I noticed that it took me several rounds going through my things to more fully declutter. The first time, I just took out the really obvious stuff and left a lot of stuff I wanted to think longer on. Later, I’d go through the things again and a bunch of items I wanted more time to think about, made their way into the discard pile. It looks like you did a lot, but may have a few more rounds to go, if you sit a bit on those items you kept and think about how much use they will really get. It took me years to declutter items I got from my grandma. I finally decided that objects are not to be worshipped and have no value. Having made several moves in which previous items were broken, helped me get to that realization.
You have the right idea to donate! I’ve found that while yes, my things may be new or even cost me more than a few $, just giving it away frees my space and gives me more time to enjoy what I keep rather than it would to sell it. And for what? So I could buy more stuff I won’t use🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️👍🏻☺️
I’m so glad that I’m not the only one that just needed to get busy with my crafting area so I could control of my work area. You have made me feel better about getting ready to clean out what my mother left behind for me to enjoy. Like you it’s been ten years since her passing and I just need to make room for my life to get back to doing more for myself. Thank you for showing me that’s it’s ok to let go! I can’t wait to really make a dent in my room. I’ll let you know how much I will be doing and report on my progress.
Thank you for sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly of converting craft room hoarding into craft room curating. The vast sewing/quilting stuff inherited from my late mother and gifted to me by more experienced quilters often feels more of a weight than a blessing. I know all those gals would rather the stuff be used and enjoyed by someone f not myself, and it’s beyond time. I look forward not to the process you’ve undertaken here, but to the result. Happy crafting, and thanks again.
We’re all in the same boat. We buy so much craft stuff but don’t make anything with it. I’m purging too and not buying craft items unless I know what I’ll use it for. Great job!
I had to pause it and collect myself when I heard the tears in your voice about your mom. I'm dealing with this same issue; except my craft hoarding started out without inheriting my mom's quilting supplies. Dad and Mom passed two years apart 11 and 9 years ago, and I just started shopping for the endorphin rush. I appreciate you for sharing your story. I will start my "cathartic purge" this summer when I'm off from teaching school.
What a BEAUTIFUL TRANSFORMATION! I really believe that thru the last year that you have kept your crafting supplies in check. You KNEW how much to declutter....and went at it like a CHAMP!😃 I too, have been decluttering my crafting and the garage which is where my crafting space is. So far, we have done some major decluttering in that area. Bought one shelving unit to make things more efficient and accessible....so worth the time and money. Then, got rid of a piece of furniture, 2 shelving units, and a deep freeze.. that needed to be let go. I'm not done yet, but the space that has opened up has been incredible! Sick right now, but should be back at it on Tuesday....so ANXIOUS to finish. I can already tell that next year....my goal will probably be to let go of another crafting shelving unit. That is SO INCREDIBLE that you were able to donate and sell so much.....isn't it a GREAT FEELING? AGAIN, AMAZING JOB!! TRULY, TFS ❤
Awwwww thanks for all your kind words! 😘 Good for you for letting go of some of your belongings and organizing your space as well! It really is such a freeing feeling and once you start you just want to keep going with other areas! Good luck with the rest of your journey, I hope you feel better soon! ❤️
I need to go through boxes of craft items that I built up so my aging mother and I could sit and do crafts together. Now, at nearly 96, she isn't really able to do crafts anymore. I need to plow through. Thanks for your video. I'll think of you as I go forward.
You did a great job, super idea of donating the stamps. We need to think of collecting craft supplies and actual crafting as two different hobbies. That is where the hoarding takes over, if you don't use it why keep it? I have found getting rid of packaging helps. All of my ribbons and laces were taken off the spools and wound around cards; they filed nicely in a small drawer instead of a big tote full.
You did a great job of getting it all sorted. I imagine that you will find yourself to be much more creative now that you are working with supplies you like and can find them with ease.
I have been procrastinating for doing my craft space for a looong time. I have decided that I am starting this weekend! You have given me the extra boost that I needed to get started. I can barely open the door. Thanks so much for sharing this. When I get stuck I will watch again for inspiration!! Have a great weekend!!
My Mom passed away last October, going thru her craft room was the hardest thing. I cried thru the whole thing. I chose what things I wanted to keep, but now I'm in the middle of moving my craft room upstairs and there is just so much I am overwhelmed trying to organize my stuff with my Moms. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for giving me the push!! I have so much Christmas and dollar tree items that I need to organize! Your comment about knowing what you have and where they are, really hit home! Thanks
I also have a bunch of craft supplies, especially sewing, from my mom after she passed. It was 6 years before I could even try to get rid of some. Thank you for being open & telling how hard it is.
I am so touched after watching you go through your journey. I feel inspired to clean and declutter. I'm a special education teacher and I am always bringing my own stuff in for the kids. They love it so I'm glad you are giving your stuff to children. It makes it easier for me to rid of my things when I know someone will use it and create something better than even I can make. Thanks for sharing.
I remember your gnome making videos and I got into that for a bit. Now I have supplies I need to clean out! I love my gnomes but I'm going to clean out my craft room too. I need at least five days too! Nice job on your video, you've given me a goal! Good job! Your space is so inviting now!
I definitely can relate, throughout the years you just collect stuff. Then one day you look up and it’s too much. Then you find yourself asking yourself are you a hoarder. Your room looks great, your video did inspire me.
I just did the same thing and finished last week. I am lucky because my daughter is an art teacher with our local school system so I gave it all to her. She is going to keep a few things and use some in her class and share the rest with other art teachers she works with. They sometimes have to spend their own money for supplies so I am sure they are happy to use them. The things that were just stored in my closet will get some good use now.
wow, I'm feeling overwhelmed and its not even my stuff, I started card making about 2 years ago and have a lot of craft stamps and die-cuts and paper already but I do not want to let it get out of control so watching videos like this help me to see what I don't want to end up accumulating, its a great lesson in self-discipline, so thank you for sharing.
I feel the same way. I'm going to do my hallway closet next week 🤪 I want to be able to see my craft supplies and use them. You did a great job. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Wow wow 👌 you have done it!!! You should be very proud of yourself. Sorting is bad enough but you have climbed the mountain and crossed the valley, to get where you are...I get why it has taken time for you to do this....I think your mum would be extremely proud of you xxxx
Oh Sher I just wanted to comment and say what a lovely thing to donate all your lovely craft stuff. I teach crafts over here in the UK and know how excited the children would be to have all those wonderful supplies. I bet you Mum would be looking down and be delighted too. Huge hugs ... May perpetual light shine upon her forevermore x Fay from UK x
I can identify with you. I lost my husband on 2017. I have had a hard letting go, but like you I am ready. I have donated a lot of his tools etc. Fortunately, I have a son to pass things to. It has been hard on him but he has his garage set up for them. A lot of tears, but I have to do it.
Getting started is the hardest part!!! Once you get going it becomes almost an obsession to purge and organize and it does INDEED feel so good. Blessings on you, Sher, and thanks for sharing this with us!❤️
Great video Thank you :) I lost mum 7 years ago and I now have been able to let go of some of the sewing supplies I inherited. It is hard, but it feels good at the end 😉
November 2023. I like to watch decluttering videos without music. I like explanations. I've given to senior's programs and children's programs. Most of my craft supplies were second-hand. Tina, Al's wife
A job well done. This is something I, too, need to do. It's odd the attachment we have to "things". You took huge steps towards purging. I think it's lovely that you carefully chose recipients for things. I love that you bagged up a sampling of stamps and supplies to give to people who will enjoy using them. I agree that your mom would be delighted knowing her things are being enjoyed rather than just "kept". This was inspiring. Thank you for sharing your purging journey!
Thanks for the inspiration. I have a beautiful craft space with all the cube organizers from Ikea. I have the desks and Alex drawers too. My room is a mess with what I have collected lately and I need to sort it all out. When I finish the 17 t-shirts for our family Christmas I will get it started. I already did all 9 of the adults. I have the kids vinyl all cut and ready to press so only an hour or so to finish.
What an accomplishment!!! Feels so good to be organized. I recently was blessed to get a craft cottage. I organized it as I moved into it. It took me a month to decide, because I dreaded the “daunting task”. Lol What a great space to create in!
Thanks for sharing yeah my significant other died and it's hard to process everything and then to get rid of things is even harder but I think it's nice what you're doing because I work at places that have people that have memory problems that some of that stuff will probably help and then I work with people that have all of their memory and they just want things to do so great job and I just want you to know that your testimony has helped me.
Love this so much!!!! Decluttering and organizing my craft room has been on my mind for several months. Like you it has kept me away from doing what I love. Thank you for the inspiration!! Can't wait to see your creations in the future!!
Thank you, today I decided I needed to sort my craft room, like you I bought things that I thought I would use and never have. I mainly do embroidery, slow stitching, cards, patchwork, quilting, stamping and journaling. In thought I "needed" every new craft item that came on the market including the rabbit hole they call die cutting, I have had tears over how much I have spent, it was so good to hear that so many of us crafters are like that, you have given me the strength to go and really sort through what I need and donate what I don't so someone else gets the benefit.x
Awesome😊 Looks amazing. Sher, I wanted to share with you my experience of organization & declutter process. 12 years ago I remarried. My husband & I began to get our home ready as to begin our new life together. He traveled a lot with his job throughout the state's & 15 yrs in the military. So, he had a garage, a guest house that use to be a Beauty Salon that was full & home loll. Wheww talk about overwhelmed. So, we begin the process of sorting, organizing, give away & throw away. Not to mention all my collection of 40 years. Lol😂 I suffered panic attacks for about 27 yrs total & got worse when my Step Dad passed away because he was my Dad since I was 14 yrs old. My go to, my rock, etc. I loved him so much. Well as going through my things after not using them for like 10 years, it was very emotional. I had all these things he had bought me for Christmas, birthdays etc. along with my grandmother's gifts, antiques etc. As I was going through those boxes I would break completely down & run outside. I knew I wasn't going to be able to keep all those things & as I was separating them, broken items as well, putting them in each box to let go of, I felt like I was throwing them out along with the gifts. It got to much & I quit. We have all this love bottled inside of us for our loved ones & no way to express that love to them in person & that hit home & broke my heart all over again. So, during this I became a crafter & started another collection lolll I was a Dollar Tree & Hobby Lobby cheerleader & hoarder Lolll. So, the guest house/craft house had to get decluttered again because We decided to build a home. 4 years later I'm glad to say I am organized, only buy what I'm using & finishing up the remaining of my craft stash. It feels so great & the hard work diffiently paid off. Like you I won't ever let it get like that again.😊
My moment came 3.5 yrs ago. I didn’t inherit stuff but I had enough to keep me crafting. What I did is stop buying and it has dwindled down to where it’s more manageable to organize and craft over time. Great job you did awesome
What a beautiful way to remember your Mom... bringing others joy with her supplies. 🥰
I so relate to you being a collector of craft supplies and then being to overwhelmed to actually craft.
Wow! I need to do this also! Years accumulating stuff! I am a card maker, I m
Am now at the clean and simple stage.

Hi Sher,
I just wanted to say I identify with you on so many levels on hoarding craft supplies for various reasons. I have thousands (true) that I have from being a former store owner and besides that a life-long crafter.

Time and energy are both in very short supply.
and of course there is always my struggle with wording when commenting. I should have said craft supplies. Hope that clears it up.
I agree with both of you. It's like a switch flips and you realize what's been happening. Good luck to both of you.
I have not started watching this video yet, but according to your introduction, THIS VIDEO IS FOR ME!
Looks great! Congratulations
Well done ! 🍁🤗🍁🤗
Congratulations. Wish I could accomplish what you have done.
I can so relate being a craft supply hoarder and not crafting, just collecting.
I’m happy I saw your video . I really know how you feel . But believe when the things are gone you will be happy
So happy to hear my video was helpful to you! 😘 How did you make out?
Congratulations!! Huge way to lift your heart! Thank you for your heartfelt sharing.
A great success!! Proud of you!! I lost my Mom when I was 24. I’m 72 now. Know your pain. Hugs. Enjoy all your hard work!!
I totally understand it feels awesome
Thank you giving me a kick in the butt!! I’m going to start Tuesday!! I’ll use the rest of the week getting some containers and then after Labor Day I’ll start!!!!
Talk about get her done! Simply amazing Sunshine!
I just happened to come across your Channel, and I congratulate you on a job well done!
So nice and realistic! Thanks!
Hugs xoxo
Congratulations!!! Job well done.
I am in the process of sorting my craft room and getting rid of what I know I won't use.
Sher it looks AMAZING! I can guess how good it feels! I did the same before out move last year! ❤
Way to go girl👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💕
I understand how you feel..I am also in the process of reorganizing and decluttering my craft room which is also my spare bedroom
Awwww I’m so happy I could help in some small way! 😘 Yes, please let me know how you make out! Good luck! ❤️
You KNEW how much to declutter....and went at it like a CHAMP!😃
I too, have been decluttering my crafting and the garage which is where my crafting space is.
Sick right now, but
should be back at it on Tuesday....so ANXIOUS to finish.
Me too! I am in the middle of purging and reorganizing my little craft corner.
It looks great, good job!! You have inspired me
I need to go through boxes of craft items that I built up so my aging mother and I could sit and do crafts together.
Thanks for the inspiration!
I am now going to tackle my room!!! Thank you for being so open and honest! I’m facing my hoarding demons because of you!
Atta girl, you’ve got this! 😉
I cannot tell you how much you have motivated me! Thank you for sharing your journey! Kudos to you! You are an inspiration.
I just finished getting rid of 75 percent of everything I own and I love it. Live simple live free. 💕 Tfs great job.
You did a great job of getting it all sorted. I imagine that you will find yourself to be much more creative now that you are working with supplies you like and can find them with ease.
WOW - good for you! I am utterly and completely impressed with your progress!
I have been procrastinating for doing my craft space for a looong time. I have decided that I am starting this weekend! You have given me the extra boost that I needed to get started. I can barely open the door. Thanks so much for sharing this. When I get stuck I will watch again for inspiration!! Have a great weekend!!
Great job on this! I get so excited to see empty drawers, few things bring that much joy. Enjoy your new space.
You should make tons of items for a craft fair
Thank you for your kind words! Happy cleaning and decluttering, it sure feels amazing when it’s all done! 😉
Yes love paper crafting and decorative planning mostly.
Looks great, quite inspiring, something I'm spite allot of us need to do - thanks for sharing 😀
That’s awesome! 😘
I've been cleaning out too. A lot of special things I have of my dad and mom they passed away I'm giving to my nephews they would love them
wow, I'm feeling overwhelmed and its not even my stuff, I started card making about 2 years ago and have a lot of craft stamps and die-cuts and paper already but I do not want to let it get out of control so watching videos like this help me to see what I don't want to end up accumulating, its a great lesson in self-discipline, so thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your video. I can identify with your process very much! You did an excellent job, well done! Now I also feel inspired💐
I feel the same way. I'm going to do my hallway closet next week 🤪 I want to be able to see my craft supplies and use them. You did a great job. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
You did an amazing job in just one week! Enjoy!
Wow wow 👌 you have done it!!! You should be very proud of yourself. Sorting is bad enough but you have climbed the mountain and crossed the valley, to get where you are...I get why it has taken time for you to do this....I think your mum would be extremely proud of you xxxx
Awwww thanks Sarah!😘
Oh Sher I just wanted to comment and say what a lovely thing to donate all your lovely craft stuff. I teach crafts over here in the UK and know how excited the children would be to have all those wonderful supplies. I bet you Mum would be looking down and be delighted too. Huge hugs ... May perpetual light shine upon her forevermore x Fay from UK x
Awwwwww thank you for your kind words Fay, I think she would be happy as well! 😘
I can identify with you. I lost my husband on 2017. I have had a hard letting go, but like you I am ready. I have donated a lot of his tools etc. Fortunately, I have a son to pass things to. It has been hard on him but he has his garage set up for them. A lot of tears, but I have to do it.
Quite the transformation. So happy you have creative juices flowing again.
Thank you! 😊
Ur a beautiful person for donating stuff esp to kiddos. Sending you love 💕 so sorry for loss of ur momma
Awwwww thank you for your kind words!😘
Getting started is the hardest part!!! Once you get going it becomes almost an obsession to purge and organize and it does INDEED feel so good. Blessings on you, Sher, and thanks for sharing this with us!❤️
Great video Thank you :) I lost mum 7 years ago and I now have been able to let go of some of the sewing supplies I inherited. It is hard, but it feels good at the end 😉
November 2023. I like to watch decluttering videos without music. I like explanations. I've given to senior's programs and children's programs. Most of my craft
supplies were second-hand.
Thank you for sharing your purging journey!
bless you for donating to a spot that will use it!!
Cher, that is great that you can donate those stamps! I can see how that will help these children. 👍👌
Great job. Its nice to see someone use what they have. I'm tieed of seeing these perfect expensive craft rooms.
What an accomplishment!!! Feels so good to be organized. I recently was blessed to get a craft cottage. I organized it as I moved into it. It took me a month to decide, because I dreaded the “daunting task”. Lol
What a great space to create in!
Sorry for your loss, I’m happy to hear this video has helped a bit with the process of letting things go……..
Love this so much!!!! Decluttering and organizing my craft room has been on my mind for several months. Like you it has kept me away from doing what I love. Thank you for the inspiration!! Can't wait to see your creations in the future!!
I'm so glad you shared this. I need to do the same thing.
Amazing !!! TFS !!
Wow I’m new in card making . If I would close I d be over in no time lolll love to buy your ribbon washy
Well done!! What a huge job, but a blessing to have everything neat and tidy in your craft room and healing in your heart.
Lol😂
I suffered panic attacks for about 27 yrs total & got worse when my Step Dad passed away because he was my Dad since I was 14 yrs old.
