This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble th-cam.com/users/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don't get pinched...that is important!

@@LoveJessCo yes through the Grace Of God last night i was moving things in and out of my unit. And moving funiture about which does drive my Mr up the bend but it was worth it. One of the best investments is investing in ourselves or else we are not good to anybody. When we sort out the mess in and around our homes then everything else sorts out inside- very important for mental health. And keeps me busy physically.
@@LoveJessCo update- the white kallax unit has been moved to the dinning room. I have got an ikea white desk which I keep in the bedroom- where I craft sometimes

Thank you for sharing your craft space. Looks like you have some of the same old Ethan Allen furniture as I have. I'm also going to incorporate that furniture into my new craft room. They add such warmth to the space. Thanks for sharing!
It’s such sturdy furniture! They’ve been around since at least the 90s and are still going strong.
@@LoveJessCo Jess - not sure where you got your furniture from, but the furniture I have is the same ones I grew up with in the 60's. Yes, they are that "old". LOL I'm 67 and won't part with this furniture. They will be handed down to my children.

Yes, I do so much better when I can see some of those supplies for inspiration. But only if they’re stored in some pretty way lol 😂

Wow, beautiful! I am in the process of turning our spare bedroom into a craft room. It won’t be as elaborate, but at least it will be functional and I can find what I need! I totally get not being able to get into the creative process because you can’t find things!

Thank you so much! I showed them briefly in my most recent craft room tour video. I use containers (metal vase style) from Dollar Tree and my husband made some shelf sort of things for them. They’re so pretty on display 😍 it’s like walking down the aisle at Michael’s or Joann haha!

This whole unit came out so awesome. Great organization. The furniture I have in my craft room is hodgepodge and I don’t like it, but I don’t have anyone to put things together (like furniture from IKEA). So I just have to use what I have. Your lucky to have a handy hubby.
Lisa I know it’s not the same as having someone in house to put stuff together (I’m in the same spot) but you could try to hire someone through the Tackl app. I’ve used guys from there before and it’s worked out very well.
Ikea partners with TaskRabbit as well to have people help you assemble furniture. It’s worth looking in to!❤️

My son's dad/ol' man is handy like this too!!! We don't have an extra room so he built an amazing loft bed for us so that I could put my art desk/area under it in our bedroom since we have very high ceilings. It's built in to the wall studs, he's a big guy and I'm a little heavy and that thing doesn't squeak and has not wobbled or made a sound in 4 years. "The true measure of a man is his ability and willingness to build stuff to hold my girly things" - Me

I love your craft room and all the cabinets and storage shelves. I like it when a girls husband helps out to get his wife's space just right! My husband helped with my room too. ☺ My craft room is a little lighter than yours, GREAT COLOR CHOICE!
When we remodel next, I picked out a slightly light shade to bright it up a little. I love that color family! 😍 I think we picked Light Mint from Benjamin Moore for it, but I’ll have to double check!

I love the final look. streamlined and functional yet good to look at. I have been crafting for over 20 years and like you have accumilated huge supplies and tools. I could relate when you said that you had difficulty creating due to the quantity. I spend more time reorganisng than I do creating. If your husband every wants a trip to London let me know. His meticulous work methods were a joy to behold. Look forward to seeing more creative videos from you.

What a supa awesome craft room and such a handy husband wow wee.
Just a tip if you put grip mat in your Alex draws and your containers won’t slip to the back of the draw, I noticed this as you keep pulling the containers forward. May help may not
Thanks, Michelle! I really wanted to do that with the grip mats, but the height is JUST short of letting me add them. It's a tight fit for the ink pads in the drawer. I almost went with taping them down ( LOL ) but I need to be able to take them in and out of the drawers. Maybe if I put something in the back to stop them from sliding back. Hmmmm lol

Absolutely perfect. The choice of the countertop was a great idea. I believe I’ll do that for my new worktop in my craft room. I had been deciding what type of worktop I wanted ..........this I see is what would work for me too. Love the L shelves too.......you have then fitted perfectly in the wall space.
Your room is a space where you can now create happy and fun projects.

Thank you Jess. Ive only just discovered you, keep seeing your name and face pop up in groups im in onFB and thought i would check you out. You are definitely an easy watch! I super enjoyed this. We are hoping to move to a bigger house soon so seeing how you've put your office together is interesting. I also run a YT channel and my office is a total tip! I need a good purge and sort out and i have all the wrong kinds of shelving- i know that though, but when we have plans to move i really dont want to be buying new units until it's the permanent home. I thing the best thing i took from your video is the importance of a display wall. Im like you and love seeing crafty things around me. I think i will make sure to do something similar when we eventually move. Thank you :)

OMG. I was telling my husband what I wanted in my office/craft room and it's that style only using the narrow Billy bookcases instead of Kallax. Can't wait to show him. Thanks

I am too moving my craftroom to an other room and still strubling with the color. Now I see your combination with white/minty
and mayby I'm going for white/blue or woodcolor/blue 'is, because my houseband has made my L-formed crafttable from wooden planks and I like to keep that...also from my neighbour I've gotten a beautifull wooden closet with a blue 'ís door... but a white /blue'is combi with Ikea Kallax and Alex is nice too, sooooo.... I'm still struggling...

My IKEA still has the Alex drawers as well! I did hear they were making some changes, but I'm not sure what yet.

Just found you. Oh my word! I love you craft room! Wish I could get my craft room organized and decorated like your room. One of my problems is I have to many different crafts and supplies for each. It has overflowed into the attic area above the craft/family room. Someday I hope I at least get things organized. Thanks for sharing!!!!
Oh my goodness, thank you! I struggle with craft ping pong, too (that's what I call my habit of bouncing around from craft to craft lol!). Organization is always one of my top priorities - some day we'll both get there! :D
