That’s what I liked about the old match of the day, they would show league football other than the 1st division. And I still haven’t forgiven Peter Willis for sending off Kevin Moran !!
Although I'm not a Millwall fan I went to this game with a Millwall mate of mine,was in open end with the other 40 or so,I remember the day well loads of trains cancelled from London that day which was obviously the reason only a few Millwall went.I live and do still live in the North so we has no problem getting there.Allways remember the old bill giving us all a lift back to the train station in a police van to obviously avoid The big Hudders mob they has out that day...

I THOUGHT THAT THAT WAS IN THE SECOND DIVISION IN 1985-6.WELL MILLWALL WENT UP WITH HULL CITY AND BRADFORD.SO HUDDERSFIELD MUST HAVE GONE UP FROM THE THIRD DIVISION IN 1983 OR 1984.THAT RINGS A VERY VAGUE BELL.
How shit was Allardyce? I remember him being poor back in the 70s but he'd lost everything by this stage. He'd never have been a pro in any other era. Ironicall George Graham,Millwall boss at the time,would go on to win the First Division title with Arsenal (twice) just a few years later.
LOL 49:30 in the post game recap of a foul on Garth Crooks. That would be a yellow minimum today and the player would be rolling all the way to Millwall! There was a lot less dramatics back then. Good old no nonsense footy.
