Brilliant. Richard Keys on vocals.
My first match as A United fan, 9 years old.
15:07 'That's Billy Whitehurst!" Indeed it was. See the Spurs players looked aggreived, saw who was involved, and wisely thought, 'Ah, we'll let this one go.'
That’s what you call a game of Football!...two great teams going at it with the will to win!...(on a pitch that today’s “footballers” wouldn’t cope with playing on).....and Everton went on to be CHAMPIONS! 💙UTFTOFFEES!..
Thank-you! What a fine Hammers ream!
Who’s here after the result at old Trafford tonight?
Not sure about that penalty 😂
I loved being at this game, all 4 stands were rocking. I was a the the very back middle of the south bank.
So funny hearing the Hibs fans signing “ you’re not singing anymore “ and about 5 seconds later Rangers scored and it all went quiet 😊
They showed MOTD in Australia around this time on the ABC, when tv and sport were good. Now there is fuck-all football on the ABC and sport is just full of character-less boring cunts.
The great Paul Mariner winning the game for Arsenal. 😂 Oh and I have that Arsenal away kit in retro style. Shame it wasn't the original but it's close enough. 😆
Apparently Chelsea fans invaded the pitch in the second leg 🍗 at Stamford Bridge. Oh and if only Clive Walker didn't miss that penalty at Wembley in the final. Could of been a different story. 😂 *By the way was it a Chisholm own goal 🥅 or a Asa Hartford goal that decided the Wembley final. 🤔 😂
Players wearing 1-10 ! Their playing positions making sense...what a concept! 😉
Mark Falco - so underrated - Garth Crooks was always recognised as a Tottenham legend and rightly so - but Mark Falco was one of the best natural goalscorers in the League - totally underrated and ignored by Ron Greenwood for getting deserved England caps.
Haha Tommy Langley giving the V sign to the Chelsea fans after he scored …… class sense of humour . That advert “ McVicar is out I suppose refers to the film with the Who’s Rodger Daltry starring .
Biggest crowd of the season 😂 21,000 that’s embarrassing for a team that won and retained the European Cup 4 years earlier .
Birtles & Davenport useless duds . Still baffling how Man Utd thought they were good enough for them .

My father's (born 1927) favourite player who he rated as the only player he had ever seen as good as George Best.
1:07 Steve Nicol ending Tom Sundby's career right there. Sundby would be out injured for 2 years after this, he made a very brief return but had to retire at 32 because of that injury.
it's kicking a leather case of compressed around, not the battle of Waterloo!that looked a great game.i love the old fashioned up and under days.you just forget just how much that you miss those days of the 1970s and the 80s which seemed to go on for such a long time at the time.yet these days came in and it's all been going on for decades.makes you wonder if it would have been better that the 1950s to the later mid 1980s were soulless and horrible but ever since it has been beautiful and joyous ever since and is set to continue, day after day without change!
I took most your mums up the Arsenal. Me and 20 others had a season ticket. What? Corner?? AWAY!!!!
Half empty grounds muddy pitches bad hair route one tactics ..that’s 80s football
where are all the fans
Primitive football sparse crowds
When football was football ⚽️
When you think about it, 1982/83 was the last "proper" football season before the advent of the league being sponsored, regular live coverage of gamws & shirt sponsorship allowed on TV among other things.
Lovely, thanks! (Despite my Hammers losing and Northampton's fine efforts!).
IT'S A FUNNY OLD GAME !😁
All depends what you like.Hooligans, crap pitches and ludicrous long ball sky football or the modern tippy tap.Personaly I prefer it now. These 'crazy' games seem thrilling in small doses but the excitement would soon where thin and this was one of the better games from that era.Plenty will disagree.
Thank-you!
So many yellow cards today
You should be able to buy a dvd of the episode in the 1980s. It was a golden generation. A lot of people didn't get to see because. They didn't have BBC or itv, just had the basics 3 channels. Such a waste of pure joy it would have have given of 380 episodes of motd over 10 years in a golden age for football.
Is there anywhere you can buy a video or dvd of this episode of match
Sarf london pride sufc
Southall was so very very good.
Having enjoyed all these uploads from a golden era of football (for which my thanks to all contributors!) I'm very aware that every successful side owes its succes to its goalkeepers.
Hills chin was often seen around the grounds at 3pm. Mole-like, scurrying around under the ground, popping up on the penalty spot, and then in the changing rooms at HT. It was seen at Goodison in the first half of matches and digging up Anfield in the 2nd half.
The chin on jimmy hills scone
Fantastic entertainment! Thank-you!
Great pro John Wile
1minute in, and Brian Moore tells us that the pitch is in excellent playing condition😂😂 ball already getting stuck on the puddles of surface water
Collector's item! Televised Jovanovic goal. United's first foreign signing
Thank-you!
I would to buy some dvds of this footage. It's like gold.
I wonder how the Scotland manager, Alex Ferguson did in his career.
Maybe it's just a coincidence QPR , Luton Town and Oldham all got to Wembley Cup Finals with their Plastic Pitches on route.😁😁😁
What woeful rubbish with only Peter Withe worth watching.
I was at the charity shield game v Spurs...2-2...10 years old..100.000 crowd at the old Wembley.
Foul on the Keeper
