Asics Trabuco Max 2 review

This is my full review of the Asics Trabuco Max 2, a very solid trail running shoe for longer distances. I used this shoe a bit more since I shot this video and I really like it.

This is a game changer for me, by now i've got 225 km in to this shoe and it's been treating me really well. I have usually has some stability issues with trail shoes, but this helps my ankles to not roll to either side, despite it being a big stack shoe. Got this one out on one of the hotter days in the summer here i Oslo, Norway and well, the upper was hot, but in temperatures under 20 C i can't notice it running hot. Hope to enjoy it more on the trails now in the fall. And the Asics grip is wonderful. Love the colourway Black/Gris Blue. A nice, comfy and protective trailshoe.

Merci Alex! I run mostly 10-15km on fairly easy trails… so this shoe is overkill for me, but ASICS’s new Fujispeed 2 looks very good on paper for my needs. I hope you can test it soon!

I think it’s great. The tongue does slide around on me on the left one. Not enough to ruin the shoe, but can be annoying sometimes. They are also only $150 at launch. Not 180

It's a big ol'shoe. I've worn it for a couple of 50k races and I'm confident I could take it to the end of the world and it would still look brand new. It's just so big and it gets heavy and in turn very slow. Very roomy toe box so go true to size. Dont go half a size up like most people do for trail shoes. Just wear your normal size

Is the midsole as cushioned as Hoka? Like the speedgoat or tecton X....my long run is 50km to 75km....looking for a shoe that is cushioned and will last.....as cushioned as speedgoat 5 but an outsole that last

I'm between buying this one .. the max 3 in fact or the New Balance Fresh Foam More Trail V3 ... i am heavy, i have flat feet & for the moment i enjoy my HOKA SPEEDGOAT 5 but i feel that i need more cushioning so which one should i use ???... i run usually in the forest on trails and hill side trails. I aspect some suggestions ... thank you in advance !
