Mr. Systems, why would I ever work on my weaknesses when only focusing on my strengths is so much fun? Jk, been trying to work on static OHP power but been hitting plateaus, trying some pin presses at the same height as my sticking point, and increasing volume for my shoulders and triceps instead of only increasing intensity
Something interesting that goes to your point about balancing strength and physical integrity. Mitch Hooper, who probably was the closest guy on the day to pulling 505 at the last Deadlift World champs, only pulled ~420 in training just to get a feel of the suit and heavy weight. However, he did build up a bunch of raw strength in the lead-up to SMOE.
This is great, thanks for sharing so much interesting info! I had to watch the Andy Bolton section again, was mesmerised by so many 400+kg deadlifts.
Shane, thanks for the video. When are you re-stocking the t-shirts on your site?
@@benjaminwoods51 I have had a whole new website built and full new merch line! It is going live in a few weeks just finalising it all so it’s perfect
Great video

Do you think any of Luke's relatives could benefit from such an approach?
Koa is too young to train yet. 😂
100%!

@@williamb4601 yeah, very true! Didn’t notice that but you’re right and Mitch has the best gpp in the game, hence why he’s always winning shows haha
