Samsung is clearly the winner. I've talked from the beginning about Apple's 'hype machine' and how huge it is. They were successful in selling 'unquestionable' people their name brand, and people obeyed.

Camera is better i have done the test myself and im not bias i used many of samsungs tablets and phones, 2nd of all apples processor is 40% faster because they dicided to stick to the same resolution and add wide color gamut instead of adding a higher resolution like samsung where your processor gets slower because of it ive also done the test myself i thought it was closer to 38% faster though not 40% and everything else they both can pretty much do the same do the test your self and see what im talking about

hey i know you are very geeky but did you know that the 2.8 aperture equivalence of the iphone is not a 2.8 aperture, in a 35mm comparison is f24 because the factor of the sensor zise is 8.6 :) and the focal length is about 56mm

Why is the iPhone audio so bad? I have noticed it in 2 videos so far now. Maybe Apple should have focused on that instead of getting rid of the headphone jack? Also the Samsung just destroyed the iPhone in this comparison.
The iphone is recording lower quality mono audio with a lower gain value. So yes it might seem like there is less white noise, but in reality it is a worse microphone setup.

LCD screens are more expensive then amoled screens and both have their pros and cons. There is no superior technology. LCD screens have the superior pixel matrix so they need less resolution to be sharper as an example

Apple does not yet have the technology to make water resistant mic. This is their first attempt, it's no wonder they fail so badly. Samsung has years of experience, it shows!

Actually the iPhone 7+ audio is much better. It's just a bit quieter. The Note7 is louder but has tons of background noise.

It is better. The 7 Plus's dual camera is cool for the portrait mode but other than that the Note 7 camera is really much better in pretty much every way. One thing people don't realize is that Samsung has a "selective focus" mode that gives you the portrait "bokeh" that essentially eliminates the iphone 7 Plus advantage.
Under low light the Note 7 just blows the iPhone away.

He is talking about Note 7 recording in stereo sound whereas the iPhone 7 just records with one mic. However the Note 7 only has one speaker at the bottom. The iPhone 7 has stereo speakers (one at the bottom and one near the top).

I'm an iPhone user, but the Note 7 camera MURDERS iPhone cameras. I didn't buy my phone for its camera, though. That being said, the iPhone's interface is the best out there, the most user friendly, and the most aesthetically pleasing. But yes, the Note 7 camera kicks iPhone's assssss

Pretty sure I've read that Android keeps their stuff open so that you can change the interface to suit your desires anyway, whilst Apple forces you to keep their interface, regardless. Feel free to correct me, could be wrong.

What in the world is up with the 7 plus Mic? It's more quiet than my Macbook retina.
All that mesh for water resistance, in the fake speaker grille where the mic is, would be my guess.
note 7 is also water resistant, but sound is ok
Eugen Yanyuk Samsung uses better mics than apple. The Note 5 had better audio than the Note 7 for the same reason. It's not a huge difference, but noticeable.
I believe the iPhone records in mono and the Note in stereo. I could be wrong.
Dante Bradley that's true! The point I've been making is that waterproofing measures will make the audio sound worse. Samsung just uses better quality and like you said, stereo mics. However, prior to this year, when galaxies were not IP68 water resistant, the audio was even better.

Androids come in all price ranges. The cheaper ones are better, because they are affordable. The expensive ones are better because they are better by almost every metric
coa it's so human not to have what others have. because samsubg makes low prices phone also like the core series, ace series, J series and the A series starting from a3 to a8 all varies in price from 250 dollars to 600 dollars. And of course the "S series and NOTE series" which are samsung high flash smartphones and cost almost the same as iPhone high end phone too. but the different is that Apple only makes the expensive one while Samsung makes every type of phone for every one from 150 to 800 dollars.

He bought galaxy s7 edge and take that phone to the sea and play about 2 hours in the sea and go to water festival and the phone can't charge anymore... and he complain bla bla ... but he didn't admit his mistake... but samsung service repaired him free and he sold that s7 edge and bought note 7 again and he was afraid of note 7 and he ordered iphone 7 plus again... I am sure he will be very upset that iphone camera is not as good as s7 edge... coz he loves to take photos

Nice comparison, very objective and informative. I guess with low-light situations the hardware aperture difference just can't be helped, but since Apple mentioned that a software update exclusively for the 7 Plus is coming in October, I'm kind of curious to see what that might bring to the table; as for now it seems more like just two different standalone cameras instead of a fully integrated system. Even though they only mentioned the special portrait mode in the presentation, would be interesting to see if it's actually a more complete package from their software team that will really bring out the full potential of the dual-lens system.

The photos are not bright. They are perfect. Its just that our eyes are not enough for seeing them properly. Apple knows how we should see the photos. I doesn't matter how you see it. Same goes for the headphone jack. Apple has seen our future.They know its inconvenience to customer. But still i buy iphone 7 because i love the way they shaped the antenna lines. Revolutionary.

Normally in these comparison videos I would agree with you, but there is really no contest here. The note 7 camera completely blew the iphone out of the water. Video capture was no contest, and the iphone only won in the still section when it came to the low light indoor shots on the front facing camera.

On the flower test, the iphone 7 seem alittle for orange on the petal and note 7 more on the yellow side BUT which is closer to the true/real color of the flowers?

I was surprised by the results. I like both apple and Samsung but almost a year old Samsung camera beats apples new camera in the majority of shots taken.
I like the colors more on the Note 7 and the video quality is better on the Note 7 as well.
iphone was close this year but still have some catching up to do. And to be honest, the second camera doesn't impress me as much as what apple advertised it to be.

Everyone thinks Apple is perfect, least Samsung did a recall, remember back with the iPhone 4 when it was poorly made that it didn't get any reception and apples answer was buy a case, I bet you isheep forgot that.
absoultely speechless! because Apple blamed those iSheeps in the bendgate issue and lots of more issues! they're just stealing money! while Samsung? All they wnat is to give their customers the beast satisfaction they can get!
Great video! Fantastic comparison method for these two phones. I personally have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, and I love the camera. My stepmom has the iPhone and usually complains about the less sharp images, she does have the iPhone 6 though. She was curious if the iPhone 7 would be any better, or she might try out the Samsung phones.

Outside the repetitive argument about the battery problem, I thought the iPhone's camera will be better than the Note's... I was wrong. The Note 7 is a better device overall.

galaxy note 7 is the king here!
I am quite fair to all, but I feel like all Samsung cameras colour (no, don't correct me, that's how we write it unlike Americans who like to change everything) is a bit 'fake'. The Note 7 do surpass the iPhone in audio and stuff, but sometimes the colour in the photos look too bright. I've tried taking photos on the S7 and the Note 7 and colours like grass green turn into radioactive green or something along the lines of that. So for colour contrast, I'm choosing iPhone, but for better audio and video quality, I'm choosing Note 7.
They fixed the colours in the s7, s7 edge and note 7. I have the s7 edge and colours are spot on. Though my mother's s6 has a pretty washed out camera.

Another great review Saf, keep them coming, I'll only add one thing to your comments and that is, the note7 (I have the S7 edge) handles the color black far better, and so as a graphic designer, using my photos for offset print production is a breeze. The iP7 takes too much post production to get anywhere near close.
The Note 7 do have a good camera, just to bad its stuck on a android device...

@Saf, when will you do a final comparison between the best smartphone cameras of 2017? Do you intend to include Samsung Galaxy S7, LG G5, HTC 10, iphone 7 plus, Huawei P9, Sony X Performance and OnePlus 3 or not all of them?
