Thank you for another inspiring video! 👍😊 I need something new and interesting to get me going. A new location, a new event, a new situation, a new point of view, a new idea, a change in the weather, changing of the seasons... like right now as we speak (or write! ) we're having the first snowfall of the winter, and I'm excited like a child! 😅
I know how you feel working a full time job and finding the spare time to enjoy your creative pursuits and interests. It can feel very frustrating. It's really tough, on the one hand you need to pay your bills and need the money to enjoy your hobbies but working takes away your precious time. I think to achieve happiness and well being it's about finding the right balance for you. I used to work 12 hour shifts, I hated the long hours, it just seemed like I was in a work, eat, sleep and repeat cycle and just living for weekends. Thankfully my job was a creative role, so something I enjoyed. I've also done the long commute to work, over 2 hours travelling by car each way, each side of my 8 hour shift⚠️😲 I did that for 3 years, through 3 bad winters.....not recommended.😊 I'm lucky my commute is now less than a minute, I work from home, so I have a lot more control over my spare time, I can compact my work hours into a smaller part of my day.
Thanks for sharing this. Having a camera nearby is like having an open eye and mind. A camera helps me see more clearly. For me it’s about photographing what I’m feeling at the time. Love your daily wallpaper on your instagram highlights! Thanks
I shoot weddings and I still get people looking down at me thinking I'm a kid with a toy in my hands. It does not happen offend but there are some people that are so clueless.
It's weird. Although I would say photography has become my greatest passion over the past few years and it's on my mind every day I don't take a lot of pictures. Mostly I shoot when I get to travel outside my small hometown (which I find rather boring, but maybe I haven't just grasped its beauty yet...?), because the urban atmosphere of big cities is what inspires me the most. Doesn't happen that often sadly. I mean, on the one hand I'd like to shoot more for the sake of practise, but on the other hand I really enjoy the anticipation of the moments I finally get to use my camera(s) again. So for me it's connected with meeting friends, discover new things and places, creating exciting memories in general. And maybe that's what keeps photography as a hobby and the relationship to my own work so special for me. I don't want these feelings to get inflationary, if you get what I mean. But I think I still can push it more until I get to that point. :) By the way, I love how you film and edit your videos! It is obvious you're an artist at heart.

Photographing in the snow seems like the interesting new approach you are talking about!

It must have been hard, I hope the fulfillment you get from doing what you like counterbalanced the hardship!
