Love your video! It’s timely and relevant to me as I search for the next step in photography. Thanks, and by the way your hair looks great.

LOVE this video Flora - cameras, cats and hair 😆(title for another video?). One thing I do: force myself to take an outside photo on the same date each month - gets me outside whatever the weather (can be good) and also to find something creative and not put it off for any lazy reasons.

Sounds great, the act of photographing the same date is byitself a very interesting starting point! Thank you for watching and sharing here in the comments

I hit the wall so often.... my nose hurts. I rarely have a good direction for photography. I just seem to drift. Part of my problem is I have no friends( my age) that even own cameras, much less have an interest in getting out for the purpose of taking pictures. I went to a park for their "Pioneer Days". Sounded good. I don't think I saw another person there with a camera. Sometimes it feels like I'm in a bubble. My friend gave me a "Photo Challenge" book. One page/picture a week for the year. I'm about nine weeks behind....

Having people with the same interests around us is motivating, but the true spark is inside us, so I am sure it is not late to start filling this "photo challenge" book!

Ok love this video….and! I feel you on the cat fur 😂 Whenever we host friends I always tell them, expect to find cat hair in your food. We do our best, but 2 cats (even who are short-hair!) still get fur everywhere!

I'm a writer and write in a notebook and do my drafts and rewrites before I trabfer it to the computer to send to friends and then out to try and get published again. As far as photography subjects. It has always been the same. Outdoors with natural light and not man made structures With a few exceptions. Victorian houses, barns, fire works and outdoor christmas lights.

    Great vid, Flora!
The funny thing is, we rarely, if ever, do something that isn’t reflective of ourselves. The real question is: what does it take to explore that with curiosity? Only then can we find patterns and maybe learn a thing or two about ourselves.

Thank you for your insights! Yes, writing helps us organize our thoughts and plans, especially when writing by hand. (A nice fountain pen, like a Kaweco Sport, makes an excellent choice!) It's an important step in the process of intentionally creating something that didn't exist before.
