Wow! Multi billion dollar corporation donates 5,000$ to an organization and doesn’t reward the employee who’s above and beyond in health and safety. Good job Molson. Never drinking another one of your piss beers again

Yeah, the guy cares more about the gesture than what he's given. They could have given him nothing. This comment and the two following shows me where your priorities are.

    • Timo Köhler
      Timo Köhler หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@Amarathros What's the gesture here? We won't reward you because that is not tax deductible, but here is a donation in her name to some charity that we can write off.

It never ceases to amaze me. No matter what company we are talking about, none of the higher ups, the ones that more letters AFTER their name than they have IN their name, wouldn’t last A DAY working at ground zero.

    • Amarathros
      Amarathros หลายเดือนก่อน

And the employees wouldn't last a day as CEO. It's a lot of stress and they are both two different jobs.

    • Chris Bowman
      Chris Bowman หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Kinda why people shouldn’t have executive jobs for a company if they didn’t start working for the company at ground zero. In other words, ALWAYS promote from within. NEVER hire from the outside.

You have my deepest condolences sir. I lost my mother to a drunk driver in 2015 so I completely understand. Everyday is struggle and we learn to tolerate their absence.

I’ve known people who aren’t millionaires and have donated more money than 5,000 dollars.

    • NOOBDUDEMANDUDE
      NOOBDUDEMANDUDE 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

I mean a good deed is a good deed. Don’t let anything else take away from that; remove all the bosses, cameras, people, motivations, and all you have left is a $5k donation. It’s still a plus

    • K M
      K M 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @noobdudemandude1884
You miss the point that a good deed is done in secret with good intentions, not for attention. The donation is not a good deed. It’s a small donation not done for the right reason.

    • NOOBDUDEMANDUDE
      NOOBDUDEMANDUDE 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@K M ok, but it’s still 5k to a charity. It doesn’t matter if it’s for public brownie points. Hell, if more people donated for attention, that’s a whole lot more money for charities as a whole. Could she have donated more? Yea, and sadly she didn’t. However, there was still money put towards somewhere good

If someone can listen to someone story and say thank you as a giant person to a simple person that should mean a lot more than money in this situation these Are the people that help everyday and make it easier for us all without people that work productively places couldn't run and many can't these days thanks to the new morals of the newer generations that expect everything to be handed down workplaces suck and many arent productive but the world aint handed to anyone

I hate when stupid cheap CEOs donate money (cheap amount too) to organizations in the name of the employee when they should be giving the money to the darn employee. That's an insult...give him at least $15k....he's crying bc he didn't get anything..not bc he's happy. I would throw the chair at her face 🤣 😂

    • Kathy Williamson

I disagree. Sometimes things happen. Donating to a charity is very kind. Sadly alcohol IS legal. More people are killed by drunk drivers than almost anything else.

    • Matt Nguyen

They donate to charity so they can write it off on taxes.

    • Jason Portula
      Jason Portula 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

They give it to charity to look better in the eyes of the public. I think its a tax write off. So charitable of them.

    • my 2 cents
      my 2 cents 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

Donating to charity is nice, but would be nice to give something to a hard working employee.
I feel disappointed when the companies give away only a few thousand dollars. The U.S. episodes give tens of thousands of dollars or way above that.

    • y i k e s
      y i k e s 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

Seriously, after all of that build up I would be so disappointed. This lady is delusional if she thinks $5k is enough to make a difference.

I know how that gentlemen feels I lost 4 members of my family to a drunk driver on December 29, 1989. I to this day mourn their lose not only for myself, but for my dad he lost his mom, dad, their dog Boots, and his younger brother, and for my children cause they will never get to know them but in stories and pictures

  • Stevie E

My neighbours lost their son on mother's day, killed by a drunk driver also being a ghost rider and no lights in the middle of the night.
He owned a rifle and everyone had to stop him to prevent him from going to kill him at home since it was his second time.
    I would react the same.
Sometimes the only justice is revenge, to avoid that monster would make more victims.

No money for the guy, could have given a reward of some kind for helping to improve efficiency ($$$ or paid family trip to theme park or weekend break or something). But at the same time I don't these companies should just throw money at a sad story just to create good press for THEMSELVES. I do wonder if sometime these companies give large amounts of money etc - is it foe the person or is it to promote the company in a good light to generate revenue (maybe I'm being cynical, but large corps are only usually interested in one thing - PROFIT!!) - We all have sad stories and not many bosses even know about them - you just get on with life like the billions of others on the planet. But I think the guy deserved something.

How about if all the undercover bosses instead start getting to clean up in their own nations of birth instead?

If you have only ONE million dollars, $5000 is .005%. I'm thinking Molson has far more.
If you make $2000 a week, this would be equivalent to a $10 lunch. I'm retired and could easily swing that.

As a small business owner, I can tell you 5,000 or 500,000, it's never enough for some people.
It was a positive gesture. The negative comments say a lot about how our society is stuck in a moral rutt right now.
