That skirt looks amazing on you! Funnily enough, I’ve never been betrayed by a skirt but I did once have a pair of palazzo pants fall down and trip me when I tried to run in them. I also have way more fit issues in pants (long torso, super short legs, sway back, larger hips and thighs compared to waist), so I wear skirts and dresses like 90% of the time when I go out. I actually had to track down a belt the other day to keep my ,jeggings up before going grocery shopping.
If you haven’t, you should absolutely look up 1940s color blocking. Some of the designs are gorgeous and it’s a great way to use up fabric scraps!

“Giving film noir.. it’s either gonna be weird or a whole vibe” is the moment I knew this was going to be a good video haha

Love high-waisted 30s skirts! You definitely have Joan Crawford / young Lauren Bacall vibes in yours. I liked the light effect, very cool, and boxes of fabric in a corner of the room is very familiar to me! So pleased to have discovered another vintage sewing channel and such a stylish creator.

Love the skirt! When you were making it, I thought, look at that cat hair, that's why I don't wear black...then the tail switch, lmao, omg 🤣 hysterical
Go look at Stephanie Canada, she sells vintage patterns and The Closet Historian / Blanca, she make 30 /40s fashion for inspiration. Subscribed, excited to see what comes !

I am not much for skirts either. Love dresses, but if there has to be a waistband it is just more practical with pants.

This is why I don't wear "wrap" anything; skirts, blouses, dresses, sweaters. Nope. Won't do it. Unless it's the faux look of being wrapped.

HA! Yeah, nothing like a very long walk to figure out all the possible flaws in an outfit.

I love this! I got this pattern earlier this year, but have not yet sewn it. You have made me very excited to give it a whirl. And the final look was great!

Not impressed, it hard to tell the quality of your work when the skirt is wrinkled and full of car hair.
