      @@jonathanblanco3100 I think I've put 6000 miles on them so far. I think they're at 5mm but can't check right now as the car is away at present. Their wear is reviewed at 70% compared to 82% for the PS5. I'd say if it's your daily and wear is a concern, it might be worth researching tyres with slower wear rates. Obviously that may mean sacrificing performance.

      Why was Asymmetric horrible? Everyone praises them usually

    • @jonathanblanco3100

      @@JedemPoKucama the sidewall was way to soft. You could feel the nose of the car rolling before it started to steer, horrible feeling. Also when they started to be worn, the grip decreased considerably. I had the sidewall of the front tyres completely marked from running on it. And there pressures were correct. I don't drive fast but I do like to corner at the speed limit, that in some UK roads require commitment. So I as demanding good grip from the front corners. Not getting it.

  • @kalfreak3
    @kalfreak3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The wear on these is quite high, they fall short by around 30-40% from the michelin ps4s. Having said that it has loads of grip dry/wet and inspires confidence(maybe even a bit too much in the wet hehe). If it was a bit cheaper i would choose it over the michelins anytime, but atm atleast in my country it's not THAT much cheaper to have a set every 1 season and a half or 2 seasons.

    How was noise ignoring comfort?

    • @sportzntouring
      @sportzntouring  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Indeed, each to their own needs and preferences. This is why I tried to give my thoughts so everyone can decide. Noise was subjectively better than the 6s but I think the PS4S wins only marginally on comfort and noise. If you've not seen it, do watch the TyreReviews channel's comparison linked in the description before deciding to try them. The 7's dry performance is impressive but wet performance is outstanding! They are good in dry and wet weather, handling is the same as the 6ers but they are now slightly more comfy AND if I wanne make very quick corners they will keep the lane. I drive defensively and they will not wear out until I have 20.000km on it. I have now 25k and they are still in good shape, but after a very long road trip to scandinavia they are finished (in scandinavia streets are out of rocks and eat the rubber a lot, they need this baucause of Ice and such). Still noticing the wheel chaos in first three gears over 4000rpm but safety reasons are more important to me. I never liked the Contis but I should not like safety features but appreciate them.

      Sorry to hear the look isn't for you. That's the same size as the fronts on mine and I can't say that's how mine looked. I hope the sensation of grip makes up for it.

    I'm driving with SportContact7 for a first time. I've been driving for a month now and today I ordered a new set of tyres for my car, that's how bad this tyre is! First of all - it's extremely hard, like unpleasantly hard. And second and most important - this tyre doesn't have a grip in rainy weather, like no grip at all. I slipped yesterday with 20 km/h and nothing could stop me. I parked my car and waiting for my new tyres. Don't buy this junk.

      Thanks for the feedback.
      Interesting that your wet weather experience isn't consistent with either my experience or that of TyreReviews. In their rigorous tests, it out performed just about everything in its class... Beating the PS4S on dry and wet weather grip.
      As for comfort - as I said, the tyre is harsher than the PS4S, but you get a more responsive feel. It's a trade off. I do also say that if comfort is your priority, the PS4S is slightly better.
      What did you buy instead?

      @@sportzntouring The last three years I was driving with 4S, I saw that the SC7 is a newer model I decided to try it, as all of the tests said the tyre is great etc. well it's not. I never had issues with 4S, I only drove 500 km with SC7 and I'm selling it, I have never in my life drove with such a bad tyre like the SC7.

    • @sportzntouring
      @sportzntouring  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, these things are somewhat subjective. From what you've said, you value comfort quite highly and in that case, the 4S is the better tyre for you. But, I do trust the rigor of TyreReviews objective testing where they compare side by side at the limit, including in the wet, where the SC7 was the better performing tyre. But, the subjective part, whether one person likes the feel or not and what trade offs you're willing to accept... is down to the individual preferences. Sorry to hear it wasn't the tyre for you.

      I found the opposite, I had to use the 30 day guarantee on Michelins I bought to replace some Continental SC tyres… went straight back and bought some new Conti’s. The Michelin were a very comfortable tyre but they felt indirect and squishy without any of the quick turn in I’d taken for granted with the Conti’s. I can see how some people would like the comfort of the Michelin and not mind the vagueness, but it wasn’t for me.

      What tyres did you have before and how many km did they last? Did you have your alignment done when you swapped them over? Was there any additional spirited or track driving in the last 12k km?

      @@sportzntouring PS4S previously. 36000kms. No track. Wife's car. 50% highway use. Perfect alignment. Swapped front to rear at 5000kms. (as good as PS4S for wet and dry grip btw)

      @sportzntouring  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Interesting. Based on TyreReviews testing (on their TH-cam channel and ratings on TyreReviews.com) the wet and dry grip is better on the SC7s. Wear is rated slightly lower but not that much lower. I've not noticed any severe wear on mine. But, at the end of the day, I can't disagree with your personal experience... I'm am, however, surprised as it doesn't align with mine or TyreReviews' findings.
