👍Wet grip results are definitely a BIG surprise, however, once the temperature drops by 10 degrees Celsius +, there's going to be a totally different story 😮😢😂
This looks to be an excellent cup 2 connect replacement but im having trouble justifying the price at my size of 265/35/18 considering the already expensive michelin is about 90$ cheaper per tire
For track day tire there is big bit missed out. Due often people choosing older beater cars they can afford to trash around track pushing 9-10/10, many newer tires not an option .. due manufacturers choosing to not offer smaller tire sizing of eg. 16" or 17". Yes, big tire sizes common for supposedly higher end, more performance/sports oriented cars .. that owners bring to track rarely if at all. Another bit - spendings on track wearables are relatively a lot. Motorsport in general is expensive. Missed mention of grip retaining over longer sessions and also wear. It might seem wrong to bring it up and prioritise top grip above all, but for those that pay own bills and may have their fun even on "lesser tires", budget also matters.
Usually Bridgestone make the best tires in the category they are. Even in Motorsports they rewrite the records in the category they were competing. Most people are very uninformed and ignorant knowing nothing about racing heritage
you applaud the bridgestone, but in the dry, it was only 1st in one of the tests, with the pirelli beating it in in most cases. You also haven't even thought to mention longevity. These youtube reviews are always so "surfacey". You don't mention what happens when you put 8 hours of track time on each of these tyres, i guarantee, the pirelli will end up on the top.
this video was brought to you by bridgestone
tyre reviews got a rival now !!

Totally agree. If they are warm when it rains the grip stays for a while but they will quickly cool down and then they are lethal.
When it rains you do not get 25 degrees. UUHP tyres are weak on wet when cold. Must test that on 10-15 degrees
That obviously depends where you live
best tyre video on youtube.
tyre reviews has gone down the shitter
Very very good review sir, Congrats👏
What a great review ! can you say if the Bridgestone RE-71RS is sell in Europe? Thanks
Which treadwear was tested on the Cup2? 180 or 240? That would be interesting.
Cup 2 connect is 240 but it's the fastest if the cup 2 tires besides cup 2 r
Could you have included the Continental Sportcontact 7 in UUHP?
The Potenza is way ahead in the wet but only 0.3sec faster in the dry though.
That's great but it all depends on what size your car wears. The Potenza aren't in the right size for my M4 so I would have to choose others.
Thank for your sharing, I learned a lot.👍👍
I expected to see Bridgestone RE-71RS.
Yup. 71rs is one step higher than Race and still road legal
Impossible to find in Europe

Isn't the Michelin Cup 2R the equivalent of the Pirelli Trofeo R?
Where is Yokohama A052?! Better then CUP2 in my opinion 🤷🏾♂️
I definitely wanted to see the AO52 compared to these.
@@elektro3000A052 is in other category. Track tires not street UUHP

Hiw long do you think the pirelli trofeo r has been out lol? That tire is 10 years old and the Goodyear supercar 3r is faster than all of them
Why didn't you compare Continental???
MRF is the European Rally Champion and you didn't test their tyres?
Goodyear sc 2’s ?
Now try potenza race vs sport contact 7
Why no description of how the car feels, handling balance, nor steering feel. Track times are not everything to all people, even on these tires.
So what is the case with the Cup2 and the Trofeo RS? The latter being offered as an option for the Mustang Dark Horse.
Did you mean Cup 2 R's?
@@bokiNYC No, the Trofeo RS.
I’m really confused why something meaty like some toyo proxes r888r weren’t in the test?
they are good, but not enough
Yokohama ad09r?
what's wrong with showing what the tread looks like. We get to see a side view of a rim and blue boxes.....
I imagine in deeper water these tires would fall off a cliff badly

I think the Yokohama a052 and ad09 would beat these

Re71 was the best ever
Yet no one uses a Pirelli in any motorsport which requires 200+ UTQG ratings. The endurance tire king is the Hankook RS4.
Using a 4wd car in a wet test is stupid. Totally defeats the purpose of finding the limits of the tyre.
Potenza Race isn't even the best Bridgestone Tyre.
4WD track is just stupid.
RACING TYRES TESTED IN RAIN FIRST WHAT NONSENSE THEY ARE MADE FOR DRY BEST RACING CONDOTIONS STREET. M O R A N do it right or not at all
