      I purchased and installed this bed bar in my truck.. the rivet nuts didnt work for me, maybe it was just my rivet nut tool..I ended up using Brad Hole Tee Nuts instead of the rivets. saved me alot of time.

    do you have to use the square lights or can you go with a light bar for the retraction option ?

    looks good dude! I've got the same thing on my 2015 silverado. A lil costly but definitely looks badass. Any ideas on lighting? I cant decide what kind of set up I'm gona put on mine...

      I'm thinking of doing 2 12 inch bars. Probably some Rough Country since Rigid or Baja Designs would be overkill for me.

      calsonicshifter I put the rigid industries 40 inch radiance bar with red backlight on mine. it only cost me $430 and i did the wiring myself. super bright too and has an ip rating of 68 i beleive

      snake81plissken nice. Maybe I'll look into that. I think the max I can mount on this midsize bar is a 30 inch (at least with the predrilled holes)

    Can you tell me what is the overall width of the bar? I am needing to know how wide it is from the outside edge to outside edge.

      Matthew Hawkins What part are you looking for the measurement of? the bottom mounting rails on my install is sitting at 63 and 5/8 from outside edge to outside edge. This is measured on the bottom part where the bar tubes mount to. The front mount does have a oval shaped hole where the tubes mount so in theory is could be mounted wider in the front but the back mounting holes are circular so no adjust on the back mounts.

      calsonicshifter that's actually exactly what I needed to know. Could that width be adjusted to become any narrower, or is 63 5/8 the absolute narrowest it can be?

    • @calsonicshifter
      @calsonicshifter  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Matthew Hawkins I think that's probably the narrowest you could go. At least because the back doesn't have a slotted mount. Maybe you could squeeze a few 16ths or maybe an 8th because of the bolt size but not like an inch or anything. At 63 5/8ths the tubes are pretty much flush with the edges of the bottom mounts. so if you could go narrower the tubes would be sitting outside the bottom mounts.

    What's the length of the base and inner space of the base gap. I have a tri fold cover and it looks like it may slip in there. It's 20 in to the first fold. Thanks

    Any road noise with it sticking above the cab? Do you think the rhino is a better choice than the oem sport bar?

    • @calsonicshifter
      @calsonicshifter  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Colton Cantrell I don't notice anything but I also have an exhaust and intake so it's (road noise) louder than a normal stock Colorado

      calsonicshifter would this fit Toyota Tacoma sport 2017? And where can I buy it?

    • @mfranco25881
      @mfranco25881 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Id say the only benefit to the oem is that it has a 3rd light on the bar which makes it look better unlike this bar does not. But this bar can fit most bed covers on it while the oem isn’t compatible with most covers. I’d say it would come down to if your putting on a cover or not.

    Nice video!! Do you know if that would fit 2013 Ford F-150??

    • @calsonicshifter
      @calsonicshifter  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Alan Fong They make another version for full size trucks. I would think you would need that version for an F150 since I would assume it would be wider than this midsize bar.

    Do you have problems with install at the back window Noise and vibration when back windows down with your go rhino sport bar

    • @calsonicshifter
      @calsonicshifter  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the delayed reply. I took a drive and rolled down by back windows. I do get some pulsing noise (wind) at higher speeds if I don't have the window all the way down. But to be honest I don't know if it did that before I had the bar installed or not since I never put them down.
