me and my dad hauled all of the pieces for a 27 ft pool in a colorado that had a cap on the back and my grandpa uses it to haul a 2-3 ton camper. atleast i think the camper wieghs 2-3 tons idk tho just a guess

Spray the inside of your rockers and all the underneath in doors etc with fluid film it won't rust I did my last truck with I sold it last year it was an 2003 Chevy with no rust
If your worried when you drill holes in the bed it would rust See if you can get a raptor line type spray and spray the bolts and nuts on the bottom side of the bed

The rear rack looks great, especially with that cut out ZR2 logo. The stock ride height is really good, but think it could rock a way bigger tire. The sand colour looks sweet, kinda like DDE's daughter's upcoming Lambo colour.
I had kept the lights on the bar for a little while after I got my ZR2 but I found that the truck looks better without them (personal opinion of course). Truck looks great love the color kinda jealous they didn't have that color for 2020 😭
Just so you know Bobby you might have to Flash the Bcm to make the rack lights work. Their might be a sheet that came with the lights that has a serial number that you must give the dealer to flash the bcm.
Having a ZR2 myself, would like to know about the wiring harness from light bar to switch. Did you have to cut into the firewall? Or is it pre-wired for a plug a play?
Do you have a link for the sport bar just curious where you got it most websites don't say it's an entire package they're not real clear whether the lights and wiring are included.

Mods!! Hell before mods, Chevy should find a fix for the torque converters on both gas and the diesels. They need to fix the issues with the emissions system on the diesel. They need to correct all thier quality control issues across thier whole production line. These trucks look great and when they are working properly are great. But when they are not, they are a almost $50k POS.

A small or medium truck does more than enough for the overwhelming majority of people, also crew cabs are largely unused for people. I understand the want for a lockable storage, but hey would you look at that tool chest and tonneau covers. Now if we could just get Mike to buy a Colorado ZR2 Bison extended cab and do some of the similar mods you are doing like rack lift tires/wheels lights, and maybe skid plates or something. Its really stupid that you can't buy form GM a ZR2 Bison and get the bed rack. Bed rack is only on the Dusk and Midnight edition. And the Dusk edition can't be black but it can be any other color that is not "dusk" themed, like bright ass orange. It so stupid you have to ask the dealer to order the rack separately.

If you are going to install the tire rack, after drilling the holes apply alodine to the bare metal to prevent rust.
Don’t worry about rust if you treat it before you install the tire carrier.
