Godzilla 1998 was the movie that introduced me to Big G (I had watched the Hannah-Barbera Godzilla Power-Hour as a kid too but that version was based on the Marvel comics Godzilla, at least visually.) Seen Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla, Godzilla vs. Destroyah, GMK, Final Wars, Godzilla and KOTM, Godzilla vs. Gigan, Godzilla vs. Megalon, Godzilla vs. Mothra, Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla, Tokyo SOS, Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla 2....and that's just what I can remember off the top of my head lol. So I can never hate the '98 Godzilla because it introduced me to Kaiju films in general. Plus we give TOHO way too much credit. They ultimately okayed Zilla's design and gave the go-ahead for the movie to be made in the first place. They're not innocent in all of this and they shouldn't be crying wolf when they screwed up.
